O2 Beach Club & Spa by Ocean Hotels - All Inclusive

The service was not reflective of a 5 star hotel. The food was really bad. there are multiple restaurants, but only one is supposedly good. To get into that restaurant you need to make reservations ahead of time, which we were not notified so we did not get to go to the only allegedly good restaurant. The remaining restaurants's food was equivalent of a high school cafeteria. the gym was terrible too. the beach loungers covers were dirty and wet, as they did not bring them inside at night. Overall, this should hotel should be a 3 star resort not a 5 start.

Pools too cool to swim in and the only available hot tub is up a flight of stairs. Unfortunately even though the hotel is advertised as all inclusive actually three of the four restaurants are closed two nights per week. They describe 4 restaurants on their website but not always accessible.

O2 (staff is superb-very friendly -kind) has NO real entertainment during the day or night. the resort is nice but not for people who like entertainment. they do entertainment only on Wed for 2 hrs (great). No music or anything there. 1 very nice restaurant with good food piano bar. the other places the food is not good. the food hrs are NOT good if you get hungry at night after 9pm (no food).

Overall felt like an upscale hotel experience more than a true all inclusive 5 star resort. The property is small but nice, the pools feel a bit too small to fully enjoy to be honest The food was great and there was a wide variety of options to choose from. The service was generally good but I would avoid the tapas bar, there were strange vibes there and poor portion sizes (yes even for tapas). The beachfront is just okay, as a strong swimmer I was able to enjoy the water, but expect some decent sized waves and not really a type of beach to just relax in the water, although the nearby Dover beach is much more pleasant (but you'll need to pay to rent chairs and umbrella there. Overall it was a good experience, but not a true 5 star experience in my opinion.

Overall, the property was beautiful and very clean however, I was traveling with the large group. There were nine of us and there were several instances where Service was below par. The gym could definitely use some major improvements. Also the on-site activities could use some improvements other resorts provide yoga classes on the beach or aqua aerobics. There was only two hours of entertainment three out of the four nights we were there. I would also recommend updating the spa to have more amenities available and to be sure that all technicians are licensed considering the price points for the services. Alicia, Omarian and Shawquan (i am not sure I spelled names correctly) provided excellent service as well as the staff covering breakfast and lunch at elements and Blue Fin.

The month of September is their off season. So the resort was not crowded. The staff was very friendly and the food was very good. The adult rooftop pool and Oasis were closed for renovations. I received a letter from the resort advising me of these closures well after my trip was booked and about a week before the trip. That left only two pools, both of which are small and only one swim up bar. Our first full day the pool on the adult side with the swim up bar was closed until about 3 due to staff power washing the pavers on the walkway around the pool. The next day the pool was being cleaned so we were told we couldn’t sit around the bar area for a while. Give one pool was already closed for renovations, cleaning of the pool and pavers around the pool should have occurred before or after hours. Also, the beach and beach furniture was not kept up at all during our stay. It would have taken very little to clean the beach to make it more appealing for use. We had spa treatments which we really enjoyed. The views from the spa are wonderful and the staff is great. Dining at Oro (the only restaurant for which you have to make a reservation) was a real treat. And, breakfast every morning was really good and again the staff was very friendly. We went to the fish fry at Oistin’s but didn’t eat because the lines were long. But, there was a band and entertainment - it was a good vibe. Overall, besides the issues with the pools and the beach, I would recommend the O2 Beach Club and Spa

I would say this is one of the best all-inclusive resorts. However, there are “little things” that stop this resort from being the best that it could be. The grounds are beautiful. The beach and ocean is right at the edge of the resort. This resort is immaculately kept. Beware of deceptive spa charges during final checkout of the resort . I was charged additional costs despite what was published on the web and told to me by the spa staff. Food: The Oro Restaurant, despite listing their fish as fresh catch of the day, the fish was fresh frozen at best. N.Y. Strip at Elements was flank steak. At a resort of this caliber I expect more honesty. Overall the food was hit or miss. There were too many buffets for dinner. Although the buffet food was of good quality, it was never hot so the flavor suffered. Breakfast was very good but lacked variety and ended strictly at 10am. Drinks: They were consistently made and the bartenders were friendly. They had a great rum punch! Entertainment: Evenings were great because there were singers every night. Worker’s attitudes here it was a mix bag. Most would greet you with a smile and care. Workers spent too much time talking among themselves. One extremely friendly and very helpful hostess was named Carolann. They need her to train others. Because the resort is small you end up meeting a lot of nice people there. The place has a great atmosphere. However, it could use more vibe during the day with music.

I took a solo trip here and while it was great, there was room for improvement. I'll start with the pro's: I told them I was celebrating my birthday and they decorated my room for my arrival and it was amazing! My room was spacious and the aesthetic of the hotel was great! I had a swim out suite. The hotel staff were awesome! As a solo traveler, I needed some help making content and taking photos and they were amazing at making sure to catch all my angles! There was also amazing live music during dinner and the beach was so close and they have plenty of seats for you to lounge around! The spa was also amazing! Now for the few cons: the chairs outside my swim out suite were stained and looked uncleaned. Also I did not like that my swim out suite faced the swim up bar and guest could easily see into my room. As a solo traveler- it could be a little scary. Also my AC was leaking two nights in a row and even after telling the staff, nothing was done to fix it. Also, while most meals were really good, the breakfast options could be better. I would've liked atleast one breakfast meal to be a la carte vs. buffet style Aside from that its a super cute hotel! Friendly staff! Amazing live music during dinner and offers both the pool and beach!

Very beautiful resort with really good food. The resort is actually impeccably clean. The rooms are gorgeous. The staff was extremely attentive. Just be careful when booking. I booked for 2 and noticed day before departure that the booking had somehow changed to a booking for 1 person, but at the same price for two! It was a little horrific as I had to pay considerably more upon arrival! Significantly more. Now I have a small claims court date to contend with. Very unfortunate. But the resort was a good one. I’ve been to many… it’s up there.

The room was really old and smelt of mold. It took more than 24 hours to sort it out. I was downgraded to a smaller and newer room, but had to pay extra. The rest of the staff by pool and resteraunts were really helpful and kind.

Very nice, clean property with friendly staff who went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Meals and drinks were all good at the restaurants and bars. Always ample seating at the pools, beach, and bars. Children at the resort were so well-behaved. We liked the beach, but we were very disappointed that it wasn't a particularly swimmable area. Sargassum seaweed, rough surf, broken coral, and rocks prevented us from going in the water. We went over to the Caribbean side, and it was absolutely beautiful, and we were able to swim in the calm, clear water.

My family and I just returned from an amazing vacation at O2 in Barbados for my birthday. From the fast track arrival, the transportation, the arrangements for the island tour, catamaran and even a photographer, Paul, who took the most stunnng family photos.Being a neat freak myself, this resort is impeccably clean and beautiful. We loved the island, the locals, the resort is beautiful and the staff at the resort were the icing on the cake. They were all so friendly, especially Anthony and Joshua.Thank you to all at O2, We will be back!

I was disappointed with this hotel before I even arrived. It started with receiving an email 2 days prior to my arrival that I was downgraded from the room that I paid for. And the room that we booked was given to someone else. To then having our door broken, the lock mechanism battery failed, having to get our room keys reprogrammed multiple times, could never get enough towels for the amount of people we had in the room, despite calling for multiple days at a time for towels. And then the quality of the food and restaurant options was not what we expected at all. Some staff members were fantastic, while others gave us eye rolls anytime we asked for something. The beach was extremely rocky and not safe for my 5 year old son to swim in. The premise was really dirty, the window sills looked like they had not been cleaned in years. the floors in our rooms were never washed, nor was the shower ever cleaned during our entire stay. There was so much more that I am not even including in here. Then the cherry on the top, was the overbilling of almost $6,000, and that was after their $3,000 "refund" for the inconvenience of our downgrade. To pay almost $40,000 and have to experience any of this was quite a shocking to say the least.

Beautiful clean hotel

I booked a stay at O2 Beach Club & Spa, expecting a high-quality experience as represented online. Upon arrival, I was informed that my reserved room was unavailable due to mold remediation and HVAC issues. Instead, I was offered a substitute room that was dirty, uncomfortable, and far below the quality advertised. For the price charged, this hotel does not meet the promised standards. The condition of the rooms is unacceptable, and the lack of communication about maintenance issues prior to arrival is highly unprofessional. I had no choice but to rebook with another hotel after traveling for hours. I would not recommend O2 Beach Club & Spa to anyone looking for clean, comfortable accommodations or a smooth, stress-free stay.

I would say our ocean view was more a side view as sunset and sunrise were obstructed by the building. Not the best location and beach if you want to swim in the sea, wasn’t helped because the sea was choppy but also very rocky in the sea - there are better locations on the west coast.

Excellent staff, everybody is so friendly. The restaurants, the pools and the beach are nice. The rooms are spacious. I did not gave 5 stars because my room had a leak from the ceiling and they did not bother to move me to another room. Also, the decoration and the furniture inside my room were pretty old style.

Our second visit to 02 and although the price has increased significantly in the last 3 years we decided to treat ourselves. Overall we had a great stay, comfy bed, luxurious suite and amazing views from the balcony. Only being allowed one towel per person and not getting a sunbed on the beach on one day when the hotel had quite a few day guests were the only real negatives.

Upon check-in we were a little disappointed in our room (1bedroom). After posting a comment in Expedia, the property manager contacted us and offered to change our room to the newer tower. Once we moved our experience was exceptional. Staff was helpful and friendly. Room was clean and bright. Beach was quiet and water was warm and there was great snorkeling. Food was very good with a particular shout out to Oro which was phenomenal. Would definitely come back.

Some of the guest services staff were a bit condescending

I had such a wonderful experience at this resort! From the moment I arrived, Jenelle was absolutely amazing. She made the check-in process seamless, warm, and welcoming. She truly went above and beyond to ensure my stay started off perfectly, and she is one of the main reasons I would rebook here. Her professionalism, kindness, and genuine care for guests stood out in the best way. The rest of the staff were also incredible—Dwayne and Dominic were fantastic and made sure everything I needed was taken care of with a smile. Everyone I interacted with made me feel valued and comfortable throughout my stay. This resort not only has beautiful amenities, but also an outstanding team that makes the experience unforgettable. I can’t wait to return!

Our check in was probably the worst I have ever experienced and the staff desperately need training. The overall experience at this hotel was poor. It did not live up to being a 5 star hotel and was not worth the money.

We had a fabulous stay at O2. The staff is AMAZING, friendly, helpful, there for your every need. The good is some of the best I’ve had from an all inclusive resort. Will return for sure.

Second time visiting and very pleased. Beautiful property and great views. Exceptional staff that makes you feel right at home. I look forward to returning next year.

The food is really good in all restaurants. Never a shortage of sunbeds, and the beach guys are really happy to accommodate. The place is a short 10 min walk to the centre where the are plenty of bars and restaurants. A store opposite the hotel seems to stock anything you may need. The place is very clean, and the rooms are spacious.

O2 is a great property. The food is amazing and the customer service is impeccable. The night before we arrived, I alerted the staff that our flight was delayed and that I forgot to mention that it was our anniversary. The front desk was expecting us and champagne and snacks along with balloons were set up in our room on arrival. Drink service by the beach was also great and they brought us cold scented towels and popsicles! The hotel is a 10 minute walk from nightlife and 15 minutes from the airport. The only thing I would change is that we were not aware that the specialty restaurant, Oro, is not open daily and we were not aware that you need reservations from the concierge to dine there. Otherwise, can’t wait to go back!

The O2 is a lovely hotel with a great position on the beach. The views are amazing. We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony and watching the world go by. Good choice of restaurants and we also visited their sister hotel for dinner one night which was a nice alternative. The sea in front of the hotel was too rough to swim in whilst we were there, but there are alternative beaches with better swimming conditions within walking distance. We hired a car so were able to explore further afield which worked well for us. The staff at the hotel were helpful and friendly and helped us to hire the car as well. Whilst Oro is their fine dining restaurant, we did find the atmosphere less relaxed than the other restaurants and didn’t particularly enjoy the pianist. Entertainment elsewhere was good and there was a good selection of drinks and cocktails available. We spent our second week in self catering and found that the cost of food and drink is pretty expensive on the Island, which made us realise that the all inclusive is pretty good value for money. Overall a really enjoyable stay.

Great all inclusive. If you're going to book at O2, make sure you book your dinner or dinners at Oro way ahead of your arrival. Excellent restaurant. The other options are great also, but Oro is the best on the resort for dinner.

I am writing to inform you that I had a highly disappointing experience during my recent stay at the 02 Beach Club. I had no option but to check out after just one night due to a severe case of food poisoning that I contracted at one of your restaurants, Brisa. As a result, I had to make alternative arrangements at another hotel. I must express my utmost dissatisfaction and request reimbursement for the remaining five nights that I had initially booked. The lack of security at your property is deeply concerning, and the overall cleanliness of the installations left much to be desired. Moreover, the level of service provided fell far below the expected standards for a purported luxury hotel. Frankly, I am perplexed as to how this establishment is advertised as such. Given that my booking was made through Expedia, I am unable to directly contact the hotel to discuss this matter. Therefore, I kindly request that you reimburse me for the remaining nights as soon as possible. I believe it is only fair to be compensated for the terrible experience I had at your property. I trust that you will promptly address this issue and take the necessary steps to rectify the situation. I eagerly await your response and a swift resolution to this matter.

I have been to many All Inclusive resorts, and this one by far blows all others out of the water for Food and Service! Staff was all very friendly. They actually seemed happy to be there working! Grounds were well kept. Rooms were large. We were in the adult side, which I believe is newer then the other building. Lots of choices for dinners. Breakfast was just the buffet, which was fine! Lunch was the buffet, and Blue Fin for Ala carte lunch. No ice machines around, you need to call front desk. And they were there knocking at our door with it. House keeping was weird, not in cleanliness, but in the supply of towels. One day no clean towels left, The following day, 1 bath towel left for 2 people. But I called and they brought them right up. They offer turn down service in the evening. Restaurants need reservations, which was simple! Make them when you check in. Do NOT miss Oro, that was excellent! They had a singer every evening till 10. The pools were nice, but the main pool (adults only) doesn’t get much sun. And was in a wind tunnel. But pools were clean. Beach was nice! Plenty of chairs at pool and beach. Always a large supply of pool towels! My only issue, is they have a large staff, why no entertainment crew?? Pool needs to liven up. Pool bars were not busy, I think for that reason. But a very nice experience for us!
