Red Roof Inn & Suites Athens, AL

In the corner by the outlet there was an accumulation of dirt in the corner.Also there was very little shampoo on n the supplied bottles and no soap. The tap in the sink wasn't attached

I was very disappointed with this hotel. My room had cobwebs in the corner and dust on the furniture. It appeared to not have been booked in a while. I reserved the room for three days but soon as I walked in I knew I wouldn’t be staying. I tried to cancel but the front desk said it was too late so I just took my loss and checked in another hotel. The following morning I went back to Red Roof to check out and they gave a printout which stated I was only charged for the one night. But when I returned home a few days later I saw that I was charged for all three nights! 😡 I called the front desk and they told me they can’t refund because I booked with a third party which I did but I didn’t pay and wasn’t charged until I actually checked in the hotel. The lady at the front desk was condescending and didn’t care about my complaints or care to issue a full or partial refund. I advise to avoid this hotel at all costs. I see why the price is so low. You pay for what you get!!! I thought I would be saving a few dollars and ended up paying for 3 nights at a hotel I didn’t use. Lesson learned.

Everything was as expected, probably 7-8 on a scale of 1-10. For the price, I was very pleased. Parking was easy, room was clean and fairly newly maintained, beds and pillows were comfy.

Room was not clean. Bedding had stains and hair in bed. Outlet covers were missing. Large areas of paint/drywall texture missing. When we asked for a refund we were denied.
