It’s a good hotel for the price. The Souvenir Shop is a bit of a turnoff but that’s what La Fortuna has become. Staff at restaurant was wonderful. Food was good, too. Cool pool is cold and hot pools are warm.

The staff checking us in were friendly but told us that our room was not ready upon check-in, which we did after check in time. The grounds were safe and kept clean. The cleaning crew kept insisting to clean our room even with us present in the room and had to be told to come back to clean the room when we were not present. The breakfast served were good portion sizes and served traditional meats typical to the region - do not expect any breakfast meats similar to the US. The pools and hot pools were very nice amenities to the property as well as their parking spaces. The view of the Arenal Volcano is as advertised on a day that is not too cloudy. Overall, I would stay here again for the safety and simplicity of the property but the cleanliness can be improved.

The rooms are a little outdated but that didn’t bother us. They were clean and comfortable. When we drove in and saw it was behind a souvenir shop it made me a little nervous but the grounds are lovely, the view of the volcano beautiful and it was surprisingly quiet even with all the commotion in the shopping area. The breakfast and overall value were great. The only thing we were disappointed about was the hot tub. We actually booked it because it had one but the water was warm not hot so we couldn’t even get in.

It’s a beautiful hotel with great pool, jacuzzi and a kiddie pool. The breakfast is great and staff is friendly and helpful, location is close to every thing and test it’s quiet and peaceful.

Great spot near tiwn. Both hottubs had broken jets so nothing to sooth your muscles after all the hiking. They also close everything down very early...10pm but thats ok. You can sit outside quiet. Staff was very nice.

The staff here is amazing! They go above and beyond to help and are super friendly! The rooms are very clean and in good condition. Breakfast, coffe, and juice in the morning are excellent. Downtown is walkable and Ubers are fairly accessible.

The view to the volcano view was beautiful but the bungalow was not clean. There were bugs in my bed and around the corners of the head board. I asked for extra pillows and we got 4 hard as rocks decorative throw pillows. The shower head had a large hole and the tile just was old and cracked. I would have stayed at Los Lagos had I known the discomfort of this place. This is the first review I have ever written on anything...I wasn't super excited to be here 3 nights.

This was an incredible stay! We stayed three nights in one of the cabins which was spacious, clean and cozily furnished. The view of the Arenal Volcano is spectacular, breakfast is delicious and many restaurants are close by. The staff members were attentive and super helpful.

Great service from Sol and Daniela at reception. Jackie and everyone at the hotel restaurant and bar were great. We enjoyed the food. The room cleaning service needs improvement. Sometimes dirty towels were not taken and left on the floor. Sometimes towels were not replaced. Some trash was not taken. The Souvenir shop at this hotel has a lot to offer.

Perfect for us! Beautiful property! We stayed in the deluxe cabin, a free standing wood cabin. The extra privacy was nice. Bathroom was a little dated and the plumbing was poor. But other than that the room was beautiful. There is a deck with rocking chairs, nice for enjoying the volcano views. The free breakfast was good and the boys that work the breakfast shift are very friendly. There are nicer resorts up the road but I loved the location of this hotel. We were walking distance to some amazing restaurants and shopping.

Convenient walkable to most restaurants and shopping area. Breakfast was good, not too many options but adequate, went mostly for the traditional. Easy driving distance to Arenal area. Area around the resort felt safe even at nights. Only con : can get load during the nights as it is on the main road.

Hotel La Pradera ligger super i forhold til vulkanen. Et sødt og venligt personale, med god service og den inkluderet morgenmad er rigtig god. Der er en masse rigtig gode restaurenter og indkøb i gå afstand. Rigtig god udsigt fra alle bungalows. Vi boede her 4 nætter, og havde booket en deluxe bungalow. De er nogle store træhytter og ligger godt med vegetation mellem de enkelte hytter. Ulempen er at de er meget lytte og der er sprækker i væggene direkte ud til haven og man kan derfor høre naboerne alligevel, samt alle dyrelyde, og så kan de også være spændende med alle de dyr der er dér. Vi havde en del på terrassen, ikke noget farligt dog, og kun gekkoer på selve værelset. Men det er nok bare os som er lidt sarte og som ikke er vant til alt det dyreliv, især med forstillingen om hvad der kan komme igennem disse sprækker. Aircondition var ganske fint, bort set fra det larmede meget, da den jo stod på den anden side af de tynde vægge. Måske jeg hellere ville have haft en af de andre mere moderne bungalows som ligger tæt på poolen, restauranten og hvor man bor siden om side med andre. Nok mere larm, men ingen sprækker og mere lyse rum så man kan orientere sig, og tættere på en pools og spa. Alt i alt et godt hotel i forhold til prisen.

This place is ok and has a good location. We stayed in one of the cabins and there was a mouse or rat living (or visiting) in one of the walls at night. The breakfasts are pretty standard and the restaurant staff is really nice. The beds are quite hard. Good value but I would probably stay somewhere else if we go back to La Fortuna.

Loved our stay here! Clean room and a nice pool. We drove into the main part of town for dinners and shopping but it was nice being out of the hustle and bustle of La Fortuna downtown. Closer to the volcano and hot springs too.

The location looks great and the staff workers, friendly and helpful. The cabin was nice except for there were some issues with the toilet running on and the shower door. The breakfast choices are very limited. We did not have time to use the swimming pool as we opted to go to thermal Spa nearby.

Nous ne comprenons pas les avis laissés pour cet hotel, pour notre part c'est le pire hotel que nous avons pu faire au Costa rica : chambre avec une vue sur l'immense magasin de souvenirs, proche de la route tres passante et bruyante. Salle de bain vetuste avec une baignoire balneo cassée, meme la douche était defectueuse et coulait en permanence. Même problème avec la chasse d'eau... Petit déjeuner insipide et industriel, bien dommage de servir du "faux" jus d'orange alors que les fruits sont délicieux ici... bref nous ne recommandons pas.

Everything was good, cleanliness important and it was clean. Rooms are small and decent. Only complaint was the food could use some improvement. Everyone said orange juice in Costa Rica is amazing- and it was- just not here. Tasted like tang and watched them poor it out of a premixed bottle :( the other items were okay. Definitely better places to eat. Would stay again due to location and convenience. People were all very nice.
