Hotel is in ideal location in the port town. Never informed that there was no elevator on the property or a bellman. Our room was on the 3rd floor(actually 4th). 45 steps to carry luggage upto room. Room was small but had nice view of the harbor. No closet or storage space. Had to cancel the last two nights for fear of a possible heart attack in the people we were traveling with. The restaurant is the highlight. Excellent chef and one of our best meals in Normandy. Management was very accommodating to our request to leave early. Property description should describe no elevator especially important for senior travels.

The staff is exceptional! Xavier sets the tone for his younger colleagues to emulate. His professionalism, courtesy, and disposition are exemplary. Although I only stayed for four days, I felt like I befriended he and his guys. The first evening's dining experience was so good that I ate there every night after. Xavier deftly explained and recommended great bottles of wine. The rooms are clean and quiet, the beds are comfortable, and the breakfast is good. Parking can be inconvenient at times, but it's free and I never had to walk more than 150 meters.

In der Nähe gibt es zwei Boulangerien und einige bars und Speiselokale , in denen überall Fisch und Meeresfrüchte angeboten werden. Der Ort ist definitiv ein Besuch wert. Einziges minus beim Hotel ist der fehlende Aufzug.

die Atmosphäre im Hotel war sehr lieblos und interessenlos gegenüber dem Gast, Frühstück war sehr unpünktlich, Gäste mussten manchmal 15 Minuten warten, das Frühstück war sehr einseitig und wenig, keine Abwechslung, alte Wurst und Käse, den Schinken musste ich wieder ausspucken, Obst war vergammelt. Abends wollten wir dann dort nichts mehr essen. Schwierig war auch kein Fahrstuhl. Das Personal war nicht gerade hilfsbereit. Eine alte Frau musste bis in die 3 Etage mit ihrem schweren Koffer, über die Treppe, das Personal schaute zu, wie sie sich abmühte. Zu dem war es sehr laut, weil das Personal den Betrieb ihres Restaurants achtlos und rücksichtslos vollzogen hat. Jeden Abend werden leere Flaschen, 23 Uhr in einen großen Container geschüttet und das Personal streitet laut, über den ganzen Hof. An Schlaf war da nicht zu denken. Hele goede locatie voor hetgeen waar wij voor kwamen. Hele fijne kamer (uitzicht op zee), fijn personeel en elke dag kreeg ik voor het ontbijt alvast een kopje koffie op het terras. Ook voor een verblijf van 6 dagen was dit prima. Enige minpunt is inderdaad het parkeren. Kan niet voor de deur maar is wel op loopafstand. Wij zijn goed te been maar een lift is niet aanwezig.

Séjour très agréable, bon confort et très clean. Et la super vue sur le petit port faisait que l'on se sentait bien sur un bord de mer ! Seul petit bémol: le sèche serviette de la sdd, à priori HS, et compensé par la présence d'un convecteur mobile encombrant, obligeait à quelques contorsions. Excellent dîner le soir, tant au niveau de l'assiette que du service.

Accueil surprenant.J avais réservé une chambre vue mer et j'ai eu la dernière chambre avec une vue partielle. Non précisé les festivités du vendredi l'été et voiture bloquée à 1,5 km de l hôtel. La chambre est spatieuse, propre. Pas d'ascenseur mais pas une gêne pour moi malgré le 3ème étage. L'hôtel est très bien situé sur le port, juste à côté de tout. Bon séjour

Our room was recently renovated so it was great. Close to anything that you would need during your stay. Right on the water. Very convenient to all of the D-Day festivities.

Hotel was fine Room was clean and tidy BUT was at back of hotel and due to it being very warm we had to have windows open as no fans or A/C. Staff used the outside fire escape area for their breaks which in the evening were many and sat smoking all night and talking. All the smoke came into our room and the noise went on till around 11:30 - midnight. This ruined our stay for what is a nice hotel. They need to provide staff an area which is away from paying guests.

The staff is exceptional! Xavier sets the tone for his younger colleagues to emulate. His professionalism, courtesy, and disposition are exemplary. Although I only stayed for four days, I felt like I befriended he and his guys. The first evening's dining experience was so good that I ate there every night after. Xavier deftly explained and recommended great bottles of wine. The rooms are clean and quiet, the beds are comfortable, and the breakfast is good. Parking can be inconvenient at times, but it's free and I never had to walk more than 150 meters.

Building was closed at 3pm !! Waited for 3 hours, I went to tourist office next door, She called the host number three times he said he would be right down, never showed up. He was rude to her each time hanging up on her. No apologies, just didnt care. Played the I don't speak english card. I lost my visiting time at the D-Day Memorial.

Great location, great rooms. The breakfast is expensive at €19 & is not that nice, limited variety and not worth the price. Sadly some of the staff are not welcoming which put us off this hotel.

Seul petit bémol: le sèche serviette de la sdd, à priori HS, et compensé par la présence d'un convecteur mobile encombrant, obligeait à quelques contorsions. Excellent dîner le soir, tant au niveau de l'assiette que du service.

Jeden Abend werden leere Flaschen, 23 Uhr in einen großen Container geschüttet und das Personal streitet laut, über den ganzen Hof. An Schlaf war da nicht zu denken. Wirklich freundlich und interessiert war lediglich das Zimmermädchen. Die Zimmer wurden sehr gepflegt und sauber gehalten und ich wurde oft angesprochen, ob mir etwas fehlt. Also 5 Sterne Grandhotel ist was anderes, auch im Ausland.

Have now stayed at this hotel 3 times and the first two visits were flawless. On the third visit however the room we were given was of a significantly worse quality than the previous two years. The shower and sink were open plan to the bedroom and the toilet was in a tiny cupboard without even enough space for a loo roll holder. The toilet door would not shut and there was a horrid smell coming from the plumbing which of course couldn't be contained due to the door issue. Opening windows helped slightly but sadly due to overflowing bins directly below and the heat during our stay this just replaced one bad smell with another. Unfortunately the staff weren't willing to help after raising the issue multiple times, instead suggesting the smell was because of the weather outside. Not sure if we will risk going back again which is a shame because it's a lovely spot and the first two visits were great. If you do book this hotel be wary of room 207, it is not fit for purpose and far worse than the other rooms we stayed in.
