The Motel Royal exceeding our expectations. Very welcoming and friendly front desk. The balcony very well laid out with many seating options and the views were spectacular. What a beautiful location for a motel! The motel is very modern, with a beautiful shared terrace with steps down to the street. The lake is right across the street, as well as the dock. In summer, a ferry will take passengers across the lake to the island which is a National Park. I can't leave an honest review without mentioning how the customer service here was absolutely 5-Star! The front desk was very informative, and truly seemed to care that we enjoyed our stay in his town. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. We couldn't ask for more of our 1 night stay. Thank you so much for everything!

We stopped here for 1 night on our way to and from NB. .The gentlrman at the desk spoke English and was very friendly. . The motel has dog friendly rooms. We were giving a room at property down from main motel. The lake is right across from the room. .The room we had was a kitchenette with 2 queen beds. There was a glass stove top lots of cupboards with pots pans ,dishes and cultlery. Also a large bar fridge. There was an island for eating with 4 bar stools. Rom had 3 chairs and a desk area. Tv was satelite and we were able to aceess our net flix account on the tv. There is free wifi as well. A nice pub beside motel but you need to make a reservation and there was 1 waitress who spoke englush. There is a downtown ar e a with restaurant and shops . We found a trail to walk on and there is a nic d area to walk by the water. Nice little spot to rest up .

Wonderful stay. It’s a simple motel but everything is taken care of extremely well, you can tell the owners care a lot about the details. Everything was so clean you could eat off the bath, and the front desk guy was very welcoming and helpful. Would come back in a heartbeat.

Lakeside restaurant a 3 min walk from motel, we had a burger & pizza & both very tasty. Fall foliage in the area is beautiful on this late September road trip.

I’m sure it would be beautiful in the summer and fall. The beds are the most uncomfortable beds ever, they felt like camp beds. Thin and on plywood. We will not be staying here again.

Great place and right on the lake at a reasonable price. Sebastian who checked us in was the nicest of guys and really helpful in English which was hugely appreciated. They have a really good restaurant too right next to the motel. Thoroughly recommend.

I often travel from PEI to Ottawa to see family and this is my favorite place to stay for the night. The view of the lake is beautiful and the motel is a perfect location with everything you need. The staff are so friendly. Sebastien is amazing! Without even me asking, he helped me take some stuff to my room when I arrived. I thought that was extremely kind.

This is a very simple motel - if you're looking for a luxe hotel, look elsewhere. That said, our stay was comfortable and quiet, staff were welcoming and helpful, and when you step onto the motel balcony the view is lovely. Good to note that the reception closes at 10 p.m. so late check-ins should call ahead to advise them. There is no restaurant on-site but it's a short walk or very short drive into the pretty town where you can buy delicious croissants, and you can buy extra coffee pods and juice at the motel reception. We will stay here again.

Endroit parfait si vous allez vous promener toute la journée et que vous cherchez seulement un endroit pour dormir. La chambre est simple, mais complète. L’hôtel vous offre les premières capsules Keurig gratuitement. À côté de l’hôtel se trouve le Pub du Lac : une excellente option pour les repas. Sinon, à quelques minutes de marche, il y a une bonne boulangerie. Tout au long de notre séjour, le personnel fut courtois et nous donnait de l’information pour s’orienter. Ce petit village a bien du charme et nous y retournerons bien certainement. Nous allons choisir à nouveau le motel Royal!

This is a lovely affordable motel. My only negative was that google maps had me arriving at the back of the motel with no sign of where the motel office was. It took me a few concerned minutes to find the office. If Google maps had brought me to the front it would have a better experience or if there had been a sign indicating a direction to 5he office.

I love this place. The hosts are so welcoming and its clean and basic and inexpensive. Perfect for a stopover. Love the garden on the main strip, and the EV chargers nearby are reliable. good eating options too.
