The Cigno Hotel is a beautiful oasis in central Merida. The room was large, beautifully appointed and well air-conditioned. The food at the restaurant was excellent-modern Mexican cuisine. We felt one of the best part of the experience was the staff. They were friendly, helpful and very gracious. You cannot go wrong staying at this excellent small hotel. We had a very positive experience at Cigno Hotel.

The property is amazing. Very nice curated and the food, scents and amenities are great. Definitely a come back. It is not walking distance from downtown but a short Uber ride can fix it. Totally recommended!

Cigno is a beautiful, well designed and very inviting property. It features a nice bar and dining area and 3 pools! It’s a short ride to anywhere you would need to go in Merida.

The hotel is fairly nice, but expensive for what you get. Staff is attentive and friendly but the rooftop pool has no service so you’re on your own if you want food or drink. They try to follow you around but you can be waiting for service some times. It’s a bit out of the way but 15 minute drive to town. They keep it very clean! A nice quiet hotel. They need to setup a WhatsApp service for concierge and service.

I can’t imagine a better home base for exploring Merida. The hotel is a total oasis from the heat of the city streets, and I personally really liked the location, even if it’s a bit off the beaten tourist path. Room was extremely comfortable, food in the restaurant was delicious, and the pools are a delight! Service left nothing to be desired. ¡Maravilloso!

This was a very nice hidden gem. Very close to shopping, restaurants and overall a wonderful experience. I want to mention that there were a few people who stood out that made our stay wonderful. Michelle & Jenny (concierge)- who were an absolute pleasure , and they both provided excellent service and addressed our concerns promptly. Victor - made excellent recommendations for breakfast and was a phenomenal server- Housekeeping staff were exceptional, and kept our place very clean and tidy. We had a few hiccups, but some of it was due to the obnoxious guests, and that you can’t help, however tje CIGNO Staff handled it professionally and dutifully. This place a quaint and a tucked-away-oasis and I’d highly recommend booking a stay at the CIGNO for a beautiful and tranquil visit. Thanks again for everything!

10/10 one of the best stays i’ve ever had at a hotel. I did not want to go home for maybe the first time ever. food was great service was great rooms were so comfortable and well appointed. IM OBSESSED. currently averaging about 10 nights a month in hotels for work and this is easily the most comfortable place i’ve been in over a year.

Amazingly beautifully restored property that will take your breath away. Only 10 rooms. It is in an older neighborhood and we arrived at night. There wasn't much else going on in the immediate area... it's not an entertainment or restaurant district, so you would would not expect this gem to be tucked away in the middle of the block. Book it. You won't be sorry.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. The building itself, a nineteenth century casona, was beautifully renovated into one of the best boutique hotels my family and I have stayed at. The staff was amazing, professional, and friendly. Perla, Esteban and Victor, and Vanessa went out of their way to make our stay a relaxing and culturally-enriching experience. Can't wait to go back to Merida and stay there once again.

The hotel is really nice and the staff are great. Just bear in mind that in Mérida you almost always need a car to get around and the hotel is not near restaurants or busy areas, so you will definitely need a car or a taxi.

The property is amazing. Very nice curated and the food, scents and amenities are great. Definitely a come back. It is not walking distance from downtown but a short Uber ride can fix it. Totally recommended!

The hotel is really nice and the staff are great. Just bear in mind that in Mérida you almost always need a car to get around and the hotel is not near restaurants or busy areas, so you will definitely need a car or a taxi.

Beautiful boutique hotel, the only not so good thing is that you will have to walk at least 18 min to find a store or cafe as it is located in the middle of a not very nice area. Nevertheless it felt safe to walk the 18 min so we would definitely stay there again

Amazingly beautifully restored property that will take your breath away. Only 10 rooms. It is in an older neighborhood and we arrived at night. There wasn't much else going on in the immediate area... it's not an entertainment or restaurant district, so you would would not expect this gem to be tucked away in the middle of the block. Book it. You won't be sorry.

I can’t imagine a better home base for exploring Merida. The hotel is a total oasis from the heat of the city streets, and I personally really liked the location, even if it’s a bit off the beaten tourist path. Room was extremely comfortable, food in the restaurant was delicious, and the pools are a delight! Service left nothing to be desired. ¡Maravilloso!

I can’t imagine a better home base for exploring Merida. Excelente hotel, impecable la comida deliciosa y la habitación espectacular. Lo único que no nos gusto tanto es que no está tan cerca del centro o de paseo Montejo.

Staff were always ready to help. Vanessa at the front desk was lovely. Hôtel was one of our most beautiful stays. Restaurant staff were hospitable and food was delicious.

The Cigno Hotel is a beautiful oasis in central Merida. The room was large, beautifully appointed and well air-conditioned. The food at the restaurant was excellent-modern Mexican cuisine. We felt one of the best part of the experience was the staff. They were friendly, helpful and very gracious. You cannot go wrong staying at this excellent small hotel. We had a very positive experience at Cigno Hotel.

We felt one of the best part of the experience was the staff. They were friendly, helpful and very gracious. You cannot go wrong staying at this excellent small hotel. 10/10 one of the best stays i’ve ever had at a hotel. I did not want to go home for maybe the first time ever. food was great service was great rooms were so comfortable and well appointed. IM OBSESSED. currently averaging about 10 nights a month in hotels for work and this is easily the most comfortable place i’ve been in over a year.

This was a four-night solo trip to Mérida, and I couldn't have been happier with my accommodation choice. A well-appointed room with a firm mattress, a great shower with a high showerhead, and a second door to the suite providing direct access to the rooftop deck with its pools for cooling down in the afternoon. It includes an in-room refrigerator and safe as well. The restaurant in the hotel was great for when I wanted to stay in for breakfast or dinner and they also have a few agave spirit flights on the menu for those who like that sort of thing. The streets of Mérida were safe, safe, safe for walking and exploring day and night. The location of the hotel is about a twenty-minute walk from the Cathedral or potentially a forty-minute walk further afield up the Paseo de Montejo, but I found breaking up these longer walks with stops at bars and restaurants really make the area very accessible by foot. For a quicker outing, the street vendors setup by the Parque de la Ermita de Santa Isabel and the great cocktails (and dinners for that matter) at Bar de Barrio just down the street provide for a more "in the neighborhood" option. Back at the hotel, my airconditioning went out one night but was quickly reset by the staff while I ate my breakfast. Every member of the staff is truly lovely and really dedicated to making your trip to Mérida comfortable and memorable.
