Wonderful hotel in a beautiful area. We stayed in an executive suite and it was spacious and lovely. Great corner bath and big TV. The restaurant is downstairs and the dinner was wonderful. We got great wood fired pizza very near by which was great. There is no mini bar or room service. But a big fridge and tea and coffee making provided. Bar and restaurant were pricey but great cocktails. There are wonderful walking trails close by. The pool is big and super warm. We would definitely stay again. Check out is very early at 10.00am, so no time in the morning for pool or breakfast unless you are a very early riser.

Fantastic pool and spa area.

Room was very small but comfortable bed. Restaurant was lovely. Pool area needs some TLC.

All areas were beautifully decorated and well maintained. Pool and spa area magnificent and a lovely treat to enjoy. Lounge area absolutely gorgeous with quality seating and fires.

Staff are not overly attentive, took a bit of effort just to get some ice for the room from the bar and when I did it was about 6 blocks. The common areas of the hotel are nice with a lodge type of feel and happy hour was generous and busy. Pool and 'spa' definitely need to be upgraded, but given the myriad of options in this area I can see why they haven't bothered.

Love the place….. So quiet….. Staff were outstanding……Parking was not good. Either out the back at a time of a lot of rain or on the road or in the parking lot over the road. We chose the road.

Love the Sauna and Pool

Bar staff were lovely,hardworking and friendly. Was good to talk to them about their thoughts on different drinks. Was surprised that there was no handwash or soap in the bathroom, just one small tube of body wash. Think there should be a dedicated means of handwashing. We had to request an additional facewasher, we were only given one, despite the room being booked for 2 people. Room was lovely and comfortable. Airconditioner made a terrible noise so we didn’t use it. Disappointed that the sauna wasn’t working, and the water temperature in the indoor pool was quite chilly. Also, less than half the spa had working jets. For the amount of money we paid, I would expect these things to be functional and fully useable.

Beautiful hotel. A pity the lounge bar was not open. From the photos of the hotel, we were so much looking forward to a few drinks in the lounge.

Firstly after using the toilet there was no soap dispenser provided. Secondly the basin was severely cracked . Noisy and staff didn’t have the facts when asked. Staff in the morning restaurant were rude. Will never recommend this place to anyone

The aircon in the room blew out nothing but dust.

Stunning property. Old world charm. Immaculately clean. Comfortable bed. Divine bath. Pool, sauna, spa. Food was delicious. Views outstanding. Staff were impeccable.

You can hear a lot of noise ftom the hallway but also from the other rooms. The water pipes were very noisy in pur room and from other rooms There was mold on bathroom fan. All disappointing for the price they charge.

Disappointed to find our 2 bedroom loft that we paid $700 for one night for was underwhelming. It consists of one bedroom without any windows and then you have to walk through the other bedroom to get to the bathroom. Hand basin badly cracked in bathroom, and no real seating area other than one armchair in each room. Expect more for this price.

The stay was pleasant enough. Nice foyer but the bar appeared to be closed. While the room itself was very clean the grout in the shower basin may need some attention.

Perhaps because it is an old place, it had a very special feel, and the slightly dark lobby felt really comfortable, so I wanted to stay one more day. The design of the room was stylish and very clean and unique. Watching a Netflix movie with my husband on bed was a great time. I will come again

Fabulous old world vibe. Our room was small, but good value for the price, and we could use all the lovely facilities

Room was across from a staff area and was noisy during the day and at night outside on the deck area people were partying and drinking loudly. Hotel did nothing till I called the after-hours number to report it. Wouldn't recommend staying there.

My stay would have been nice if it hadn’t been for the next room to me having a shower @ 4.30AM in the morning the noise of the pipes was so loud it woke me up . The walls dividing the rooms were thin & the beds were positioned next to each adjoining walls making the experience uncomfortable heating people snore & giggling in the early hours of the morning . So no I didn’t get a good nights sleep ! The bath tub in the bathroom did not have a non slip mat & the cold water tap fell off twice making having a shower a risky experience & I was cautious of slipping over . The interiors are dark in the rooms & no bar fridge provided in the Amalfi Rooms . The communal areas are nice in the lounge however & this was the most enjoyable place to sit & relax . Unfortunately I will not be staying again for $200 paid was not worth the sleepless night .

A fabulous rich, inviting decor and big room with a very comfy bed.

We spent 3 nights in The Suite room which was generous in size and well appointed. We had a peek at other rooms and they were all equally appealing. It was a quiet time so the place was all ours. Darren the manager was warm, engaging and full of local knowledge The pool was fantastic. The foyer had several welcoming open fires surrounded by deep leather arm chairs. The style of the hotel is dramatic and gothic - full of great art and sculptures, gilded mirrors and spectacular candelabras - a really special unique and memorable place.

This is stunning hotel with beautiful artwork, excellent bedding, interesting interiors etc. Unfortunately the staff are disengaged lack the service and skills you expect from a hotel of this standard. Staff at the lobby bar; left us waiting for our drinks, had to investigate where our drinks were. I genuinely felt staff just couldn’t be bothered - this was noticeable at the reception, bar and even the restaurant. The food was divine but again the service staff let it down, we won’t come again.

Such a beautiful building inside & out. Staff were helpful & friendly. And while the room we were in is showing signs of age and wear & tear, it was comfortable and generously sized. The restaurant & bar were nice & chill offering a great selection of food & drinks. Highly recommended.

The venue itself is beautiful, clean, easily accessible, plenty of parking. The staff however ruin the venue. Almost all staff are unfriendly, lazy it honestly felt we were an inconvenience. Bar in venue upstairs is rarely open and the staff have no idea about the alcoholic beverages. Ale and Larger are completely different they are made different and taste nothing alike. Bar staff act like they know everything but don’t know the basics. This particular barman was too busy worry about having shots himself and encouraging another staff member who declined. Staff in the Virgin Kitchen simply ignore you when you are standing there to order. 5 minutes before I had to ask if they were going to take my breakfast order. No mention of concierge options, no mention they have games available for their guests to enjoy., Truthfully the rooms and venue is wonderful but new staff required as they bring the place down. One gentleman in reception Paul was wonderful and friendly and when leaving an older staff member lady smiled and said hello. Wish they had been in more.

Super friendly staff, facilities were in excellent condition, happy hour around the fire a highlight.

Highly recommend to anyone who is thinking of staying here. I know myself and my wife will be staying again in the future.

The hotel had a charm that made us relaxed. After check in we were walked to our room and the facility explained to us. The relaxation and dining in the gardens were sensational, along with the highlighting local produce by the restaurant. I will go back again and I encourage anyone to take the time out at the hotel.

The good: the suite is a great size, nice shower, comfy bed, and very relaxing for a short stay. The hotel itself is quite nice, very nicely maintained and renovated. The happy hour at the bar was a lovely touch. The bad: the front desk was a bit too busy to attend to guests, which is odd. I get it's the busy season over the holidays, but worth remarking on. The restaurant (Virgin Kitchen) was terribly serviced. Staff were very new, untrained, unsure on any dish, and forgot orders twice. Dessert took 45 minutes to cut a slice of cheesecake. Sides never came that were ordered. The pasta was nice, but the pork chop was overcooked and very dry. Wine list was very short and mostly very low cost cheap plonk. You have guests with money and no way to get them to spend it. Extremely below-average dinner experience.

Lovely building and grounds. Staff were pleasant but there was minimal service in the hotel due to too few staff. A fire alarm went off at 2am and guests had to evacuate the building. There were no staff present to direct the evacuation. We would be very concerned about this if it was a real emergency and not a false alarm.

This us our 5th stay and we love visiting Daylesford shops and market, the bellinzona hotel is a beautiful place to stay and we recommend it highly to anyone visiting this area.

Great hotel located in the center Main Street Hepburn Springs 3 min drive or 59 minutes walk to Daylesford Comfortable clean & great area to relax

This is a fabulous hotel. The whole place is luxuriously decorated, opulent, dramatic and yet cozy and comfortable. The grounds are lovely, views from the upper deck are gorgeous, the Lobby is the perfect place for a glass of red near the fireplace, the spa, sauna and pool are great, and dinner at the virgin kitchen was excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay - one of my top hotels to date. Will be returning soon!

The property is huge with a gorgeous garden and great pool! Staff are so so nice and welcoming. Unfortunately, we only stayed one night, after our bad experience at another hotel. Will definitely be returning. Highly recommend!

Beautiful upgrade but not childfriendly, despite advertising family room. No childrens menu or willingness to accomodate. We reviewed a bar menu and thought that would suit, however it wasnt open. Would not provide any variation to the menu to help suit 11 and 8 year olds. The restaurant up the top prior to renovation, and the breakfast buffet service was why we returned; such a shame! The cost was significant, but not for us I'm aftraid.

A nice charming building with cosy areas. Pool was nice and at a warm temperature. Food in restaurant was excellent and good service Really off putting art work all over the walls everywhere. Could hear people in the hallway very clearly at night and in the morning Had a split system in the room but we found out it could only be controlled by the front desk who set the temperature for the whole wing. So when we were cold in the room we could not adjust the temperature in our room. I have never experienced that in a hotel in my life Also, even when turned off, the split system made intermittent gurgling noises day and night.

Very comfortable beds and especially the pillows. Excellent meal in the Virgin, greats service from Michael and his crew.

While we had a nice stay, the hotel, the accessible room was very small and had almost no storage - 0ne narrow cupboard that held a fridge in the bottom half and an ironing board, iron and gowns filling most of the top. One small suitcase holder and small bedside tables (no drawers) The bathroom had a basin and a narrow table with hairdryer, shampoo, bathmat etc filling it, but with no room to put our toiletry bags and no other surfaces. I know the hotel was rebuilt a number of years ago after a fire, but it is now very dark grey and black walls with black and white line drawing pictures everywhere on the walls and a horrid black and grey check carpet. This may have been fashionable once, but now just looks dark, drab, lacking colour and dreary. The bathhouse is in great need of maintenance with a broken sauna, a number of lights not working and a failing non-slip floor covering that appears to be peeling off in many places, especially around the spa. The pool was too cold to swim in (either no heating or set at a very low temperature) Service was friendly and fine and the gardens are beautiful and very well maintained but the building needs some work and the rooms are just too small and lacking storage. The restaurant, Virgin Kitchen, was quite expensive and service was very slow, but the food when it finally came was tasty. We paid almost $600 for two nights and I really think it was overpriced for what they offer, hence I was overall quite disappointed with our stay.
