We had a wonderful stay, the breakfast was great and the room was comfortable and peaceful. We enjoyed the fire place and the private hot tub during the cold and snowy days in SSI. Sue and Chris are wonderful hosts. We highly recommend this place.

If you are looking to disconnect and recharge this is the place! The rooms are so comfortable with all of the amenties included to re-charge. Each room has their own private hot tub and private deck. The home made breakfasts were incredbile!

The property was outfitted with everything we needed for a very comfortable stay - the hot tub was so nice and we enjoyed the gas fireplace as well. The kitchen amenities were perfect for making lunches and enjoying the wonderful breakfasts. We look forward to returning!

The breakfast was consistently the best food we’ve had on Salt Spring Island—stay for the breakfast alone! It’s a beautiful, private space amidst old growth forest. The secluded hot tub and patio to sit on were amazing, it was like being in a fairy tale. There’s also an outdoor shower, which was a great pairing with the hot tub. Sue was a top tier host. She waited up late for us to come in from the ferry, gave our dog treats every morning with breakfast, and was very accommodating for our dog’s needs. And it’s a gated yard so our dog could roam as he wanted! The location is within 8-10 minutes of the Ganges, with lots of beaches and hiking trails a short drive away. It’s hard for me to imagine a better place to stay on the island. The suite was spacious, lots of lighting, with the candles & fireplace making it extra romantic. FYI, there is no tv, which is great for an unplugged getaway. Overall, we’ve loved our stay here, very relaxing.

Sue and Chris run a wonderful little B&B in their carriage home above their detached garage. Guests have their own entrance, fenced garden, hottub and outdoor seating area. Sue brings you the most delicious homemade breakfasts in the morning. We had scones, muffins, granola, fruit salad and an eggs benny hash over our 2 night stay. She even included a little treat for our dog each morning. The bathroom fan does turn on and off through the night, so if you are a light sleeper, maybe bring earplugs. Overall, a wonderful place to stay, a block and a half from the lake. Would definitely stay there again in the future.

Very clean suite inside and friendly hosts. Originally we had booked the other suite, for privacy and quiet. Upon arrival we’re told there was a leak and we had been placed in the other suite. While I do appreciate the hosts having us, it would have been nice to have been made aware of this prior to arrival as we would’ve chose to stay elsewhere. We had saw a bbq in the original listing we booked, but since we had to switch, had no access to bbq and couldn’t use any of the food we brought for the trip. The spot we were put was completely different from the original we booked, and was right beneath where the hosts lived, something we wanted to avoid. Unfortunately we weren’t offered a discount or anything of the sort. Hot tub could use a good clean. Breakfast both days was great.

We loved the character of this bed and breakfast. We were met by the friendly owner when we arrived who walked us through the ammenities and asked when we'd like breakfast delivered. Very quiet and relaxing. Breakfast was brought to the room promptly at our requested time and was delicious. The room was clean and tidy, and the bed was very comfortable. The private hot tub was luxurious. Couldn't ask for anything more on a weekend get-away.

My partner and I were in town for a soccer tournament, and every time we returned from a long match, it genuinely felt like coming back to our own little oasis. The hosts were exceptional: kind, attentive, and genuinely supportive. They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable, including thoughtfully accommodating my gluten allergy without missing a beat. Breakfast each morning was five-star quality, beautifully prepared, delicious, and made with such care that it set the tone for our entire day. The property itself is stunning. From the serene setting to the impeccably kept rooms, everything feels clean, cozy, and deeply cared for. And the hot tub? The perfect end-of-day treat. Slipping in after a long game was pure bliss. We had a wonderful stay at SS Carriage House! We stayed in the very cute and cozy Garden Suite- very private. Comfortable bed, great shower and the hot tub was such a relaxing way to end the day. Great lighting features . And the delivered to your room breakfasts!!! The most delicious homemade pastries, fruits, and breakfast sandwiches! Sue and her husband are just the nicest, most friendliest people! Highly recommend this terrific B&B!

Amazing! The Host met us in the driveway with a friendly greeting and gave us a tour of the suite. She also spent time explaining beaches and hikes and parks etc to explore. We also met Marco the orange tabby, he spent time in our room with us. The suite is cute as a button and looks recently updated. Loved the colour scheme and furnishings/decorations. Very private suite and outdoor space with full sized hot tub. The breakfasts were amazing! Fresh fruit, fresh baked scones and muffins, a little jug of juice and more, all delivered silently to your room in the morning in a pass-through cubby. We would love to visit again one day!

We enjoyed are very private room and garden area. Sue and Chris were prompt with are amazing breakfasts. The breakfast was consistently the best food we’ve had on Salt Spring Island—stay for the breakfast alone! It’s a beautiful, private space amidst old growth forest. The secluded hot tub and patio to sit on were amazing, it was like being in a fairy tale. There’s also an outdoor shower, which was a great pairing with the hot tub. Sue was a top tier host. She waited up late for us to come in from the ferry, gave our dog treats every morning with breakfast, and was very accommodating for our dog’s needs. And it’s a gated yard so our dog could roam as he wanted! The location is within 8-10 minutes of the Ganges, with lots of beaches and hiking trails a short drive away. It’s hard for me to imagine a better place to stay on the island. The suite was spacious, lots of lighting, with the candles & fireplace making it extra romantic. FYI, there is no tv, which is great for an unplugged getaway. Overall, we’ve loved our stay here, very relaxing.

If you're thinking that you need AC, you really don't because the suite stays cool and a fan is available. The breakfasts are fun and amazing! Each morning the light in the secret cupboard goes on and you are treated to the most delicious and filling breakfasts! Sue and Chris are amazing hosts who are available to answer any questions, if needed. Otherwise, it is a relaxing, peaceful and idyllic setting on Salt Spring Island. We can't wait to go back!

Sue and Chris run a wonderful little B&B in their carriage home above their detached garage. Guests have their own entrance, fenced garden, hottub and outdoor seating area. Sue brings you the most delicious homemade breakfasts in the morning. We had scones, muffins, granola, fruit salad and an eggs benny hash over our 2 night stay. She even included a little treat for our dog each morning. The bathroom fan does turn on and off through the night, so if you are a light sleeper, maybe bring earplugs. Overall, a wonderful place to stay, a block and a half from the lake. Would definitely stay there again in the future.
