Mount View Motel

Nice large room with 2 beds for price of smaller room. Kitchenette is another plus and parking almost out of sight from the street for good security.

The outside appearance was not impressive. The motel has 7 rooms total. Was disappointing when I first arrived, however, the room we had was freshly redone and the beds were comfortable.

Covered gazebo area for cooking, small older motel nicely renovated rooms. Don’t let the street view fool you, I’d stay again!

Kitchen is well supplied. New bathroom very nice. Owner very helpful. Even though we didn't get to use it, there is a really nice barbecue area.

Appreciated being walked to our room and shown around. Great gazebo on site with lots of amenities including bbq, air fryer and nice place to sit.

Great service. Clean room. Location is great too. Close to stores and parks and bike trail. Thanks for the stay. Great idea with the gazebo and grill station. Maybe a hot tub, sauna for future and some bike racks to allow locking of bikes.

Spacious kitchen area, comfortable beds. Nicely maintained inside. Yard could do with improvement. I enjoyed the gazebo in the yard. Parking close to the room was convenient.

Nicely renovated motel just 8 rooms with queen and double beds in each, walk to restaurants and downtown.

The Motel is renovated and clean. It has a great outdoor barbecue area where we were able to do some cooking and enjoy.

Ample parking space. The unit as a whole was clean & tidy. Should I've known kitchen was included, I would have brought my wonton dumplings. I honestly recommend.

Bed was ok. It was humid in the room and the polyester covers made us sweat. Pillows were comfortable. The room had cobwebs (I had a massive one stuck to my finger when I opened the blinds) There was a half drank pop bottle in our fridge when we arrived that was not ours. The bathroom door stuck and was very hard to open/close. None of the shampoo had any safety seals on them, they seemed used and refilled. If we didn’t wear shoes in the room, our feet would be black from the floors. The location was amazing. The bathroom toilet and shower were clean. Check in was easy.

Don't let streetview on maps deter you from staying here. This is a small quiet 7 room motel and has been nicely renovated. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the cobwebs around the edge of the wall/ceiling and the dirty ceiling fan in the bathroom. Nothing that would stop me from staying here again. If you are ever in the area and need a place to stay check this little gem out.

Stayed one night as we were in Oliver for a quick visit. We booked it online. our stay here was an exceptionally pleasant surprise. Great rooms. Super clean. Friendly host. Quiet............... will gladly stay here again next tme we are in town !

Clean and well renovated motel.

I had a wonderful stay at this motel! The room was spotless and well maintained — easily one of the cleanest places I’ve stayed. The staff were absolutely amazing — friendly, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure guests are comfortable. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests’ experience. I highly recommend this motel to anyone looking for a clean, welcoming, and affordable place to stay. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Room was comfortable and newly renovated - except an issue with the shower. Talked to the owner about it and he said he will fix it. Entrance is a bit hard to hard. Without a GPS it is easy to miss.

VERY CLEAN! Well equipped kitchenette. Nice bed. Quiet. Only downside was air conditioning, like loud white noise.

It was great! Close to downtown Oliver, quiet, clean, good A/C.

Nice reno's in the room. Kitchenette included but did not use. Comfy beds. Could use a refresh on the bed spread and a more secure door lock. Properties around the motel were a little dishevelled. Sorry but a corkscrew for the key is not really sanitary.

Looks like a typical motel on the outside, nothing spectacular…then enter your room…5-Star vibes will hit you. Tastefully done modern clean rooms, fully equipped kitchenettes and if you are a small “details” kind of person, you’ll smile. Because they paid attention to even the small stuff. All of them. This place is a little gem, absolutely worth checking in to! And sadly that’s getting pretty rare nowadays.

I cannot say enough good things about my stay here. From the moment we arrived the owner John greeted us and was so friendly and kind. Made me feel so welcome. I stayed with my dog Ronin as well and it was so lovely to feel so comfortable and safe on our travels away from home. We had everything we needed and this is the perfect location. So close to all amenities. We will be staying here every time we come to Oliver.

Our stay at Mount View was great. John the proprietor was very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. He was also very informative about the town of Oliver and the surrounding area. He made some spot on recommendations of some great wineries to visit. Our room was newly renovated comfortable and quiet. We’ll definitely check in again the next time we’re in Oliver. Steve.

I traveled from Nelson/ Osoyoos with 2 kids and my husband, my oldest daughter suffered a bad cut on her right foot and we had to heal the wound. We got to Osoyoos at 9:30 pm, and the owner called me at 9:35 pm and said, "Are you SG..." I said yes, We are right now in Osoyoos and we are on our way to Oliver" Then he said "I am waiting for you the whole day and I am going to close in 20 minutes" Then he hung up the phone. We arrived at 10 pm. I went into the office and told him " Hi, I am so sorry, we were driving from Nelson with my 2 girls" and he did not let me finish talking and started to say, "I do not care if you were driving, I am here from 8 am to 10 am waiting for YOU and I have not been able to go home and now you come with your kids to make noise and tomorrow I will have complaints from the other guests, other people checked in at 5 or 6 pm". Then he said "Fill in your info and pay" so I started to fill in the form and again he said, “Did you understand what I have told you?” then I said. "Yes, I understand, you do not need to be repeated again Then he said " Don't talk to me like that because I decide who stays or not in my place, and tonight you may be left without a place to sleep" I was shocked and couldn't believe everything that was happening to me. After that, I only thought about my daughters so I didn't say anything, I didn't know what to do because I'm not Canadian. Finally, I filled in the form, I paid it and he threw the check on the table.

There was a mutual error made between my mom and the owner/manager. Not a hello, not a “oops I think we made an erro”. Instead he approached me aggressively, pointed and started yelling. I was confused as I was not a part of their conversation. I rented two rooms through Expedia. When my mom phoned she said “two rooms under (insert my name) and he said “oh that’s unusual”. So. When we got their, he came and stood at the door of my truck and stared at me. I said “hello” and pointed at me, stated my name, and yelled “when you phoned you stated two rooms for you, and another one for your parents”. Well we certainly did not. I said “I guess it was an error sir” and he says “well YOUR error cost me $160! So my parents to bring as kind as they are, wanted to make peace so they offered to pay the $160. (I wouldn’t have). And he was still terribly rude to my elderly parents and told them he did not want their money, to leave $20 for the housekeeper. “Tomorrow leave your key on the table and just go”. I’m not sure where he would have lost &160, because out of 9 rooms, 4-5 were unoccupied all night. Moral of the story is; he would have gained a lot of business approaching this subject kindly, as we will be making a lot of trips through there coming up. So, he lost way more than $160, as he will never get our business again. Treat people with kindness folks. The owner was very hospitable,, the room already had the air conditioning on,, his direction to resteraunts and other questions were very informative,, I was recommended this motel and I will recommend this motel to others

Very clean, but John's welcome was terrible. After 5 hours on the road, it was unpleasant.

I have stayed here several times and it is a convenient place with affordable rooms and is clean and comfortable. The owner is pleasant and helpful.

While the property itself looked simple and basic on the outside, my room was extremely clean, tidy, and welcoming. The room was well equipped / stocked, with a fully functional kitchenette and fridge, plus all the basic cookware and utensils. The office manager / owner was very friendly and helpful, and made sure I was taken care of. Thank you~!

Place has been renovated, clean, quiet and well-equipped. Beds are comfortable and in walking distance to a plaza with a pharmacy, restaurant, grocery store (No Frills, bargain store and library.

The room I stayed at is updated and doesn’t feel like a motel. Clean and roomy. I appreciate that it has a full size fridge and kitchen. Walking distance to the downtown strip should you wish to grab groceries or dine out. Also, it is only 9 minites away from the District Wine Village. I may stay here again.

Das Motel liegt direkt an der Hauptstraße und ist somit einfach zu erreichen. Parkplätze befinden sich direkt bei den Zimmern. Der Check-in verlief schnell und komfortabel, der Besitzer war freundlich und zuvorkommend, hat mir alles rund um meinen Aufenthalt verständlich mitgeteilt und mich zum Zimmer geführt. Das Zimmer selbst ist geräumig, sauber, mit Küche und entsprechenden Geräten ausgestattet, die Betten bequem. Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt. :)

Clean, updated motel in the beautiful Canadian wine country. My family of 4 and our tiny dog had a very comfortable stay here. It is within walking distance to restaurants. Definitely recommend!

Great motel . We stayed for a few nights while doing wine tours. Perfect location for that. Checkin was easy and fast. Motel was quiet and renovated. Wohld stay again
