Excellent property for our annual weekend away. Beautiful comfortable beds, top quality inclusion. We didn’t want to leave. 10/10

Wonderful house with lots to entertain the family in a beautiful setting . Well stocked kitchen with everything you could need . Could be cleaner but we loved the billiard table and table tennis as well as the magnificent garden.

The house was large and beautiful, and perfectly accommodated for our group. Would definitely come back again!

Probably the best big house we have ever stayed in. Lots of room, great facilities, plenty of kitchen utensils.

Ellengowan is a stately old home, excellent for a large group stay with active adults. It has beautiful sprawling grounds and abundant accommodation for a large group that can spread out and be comfortable. It proved a wonderful retreat after exploring during the days. The only criticism (and this is nit picking) is that the house had obviously been locked up for some time and had a very stale, mouldy smell for the first day until it was properly aired out (NB the main bedroom ensuite does need a proper clean out to eliminate the mould in there). Also the washing machine and dishwasher need a maintenance as neither was washing properly. And the stove top needs a proper commercial clean (we did clean it as well as we could when we arrived (and when we left), but it has ingrained stains.
