The Blowing Rock Motel was very cute and in a good location. We enjoyed being able to walk to nearby businesses. We also enjoyed the gas fire pit that was available.

Have stayed here multiple times. Always great to be right in town with easy parking and safely walkable. The place is always well kept, although the tub drain probably needs some help (they’re old). Changed hands since last time we stayed; biggest difference seems to be you have to check in/out across the street, since there’s no management in the building itself; they’re across the street. Not a huge deal, just something to know and is published on the website and emails.

This was a quick trip with a one night stay. Helpful information was provided before arrival and during checking that made for a seamless experience. The room was clean and had all of the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Location is close to shopping, restaurants and attractions. Appreciated the designated smoking area for one of our group. Would definitely stay again.

We had a great experience. The check-in / check-out process was easy and smooth. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. The property has been wonderfully maintained. We were out pretty late so it was nice to have a dedicated parking spot. The only negative, and it is minor, is the ice machine. It is not really an ice machine you get small bags of prepackaged ice out of a freezer. Don't get me wrong. We had a wonderful stay.

This is the most amazing spot in Blowing Rock to stay the night. It is so charming with a little front porch to relax on and look at the trees changing colors and the topography rising across the street. The gardens are meticulous as are all of the window boxes with flowers. The room is quaint, comfortable, and has all the amenities. The light in the room from the windows is so beautiful. The bathroom is brand new and absolutely large. Every little part of the room and bathroom is unique, not like a "big box" hotel. The staff was so friendly and polite. The marked parking with room number was perfect. I felt very safe and slept very deeply in the beds, comfortably tucked away from any noise but close enough to walk to town.

Great room, clean and had everything we needed. In the front lawn there is gardens and lots of seating to relax in. Nice

This is a charming property. This was our first stay. The overall condition is good, but it could use a good power wash. Room 101 was well appointed, but the carpet needs replacing. I wouldn't want to walk on it barefooted. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was nice. 3 windows are in this room which was nice, but the rear window was beyond dirty. The ice machine was locked but there was a freezer full of small bagged ice. That was great, but they were frozen solid. Not a real big deal, but the super thin ice bags don't hold up to banging on the ground to break up the ice.

The young woman at check in was so sweet and friendly. Very relaxed atmosphere. We enjoyed sitting in the gazebo in the evening. Not the fanciest place but suited our needs perfectly!

Gravel parking lot was hard to find in the dark. The entrance could use some signage. Sidewalk was broken and uneven, and the landscaping needed to be finished around the porch. The ceiling lighting inside was very bright, and some dimmer switches would be a great addition as well as a little more art on the walls. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was great. Overall cleanliness was good. It was roomy and pleasant.

A long, black hair was on the wall of the shower... gross.

When we arrived at 7pm there was no hot water. When we called to see if we could move to another room or someone could help, they said no one could help, but we were welcome to drive to the other hotel (in the rain and less than 40 degree weather) to take a shower at their gym. When I explained it was unreasonable to expect us to pay for 2nights at a place that had no hot water, they said the manager would get back with us the next day. They never got back with us, never fixed it, never offered refund. Incredibly disappointed with whole stay.

Location is great to downtown Blowing Rock! The room had two window air units and were very loud, even on the lowest setting. Only lukewarm water for showers. If you flushed the toilet, it got a little warmer. Had to have matienience

Overall great stay. No hot water this morning but really wasn't an issue or concern.

Room was cute however we didn’t have hot water, A/C unit didn’t work consistently, we received no clean towels or washcloths on second day .

Clean motel-like room. Two comfortable double beds. However, If a cold shower and a nonstop dripping bathroom faucet are your thing, this is the place for you! Great location in the heart of Blowing Rock.

Have stayed at Blowing Rock Inn several times. Each time a different unit. This past visit was a little disappointing, Very badly stained carpet in unit 1. Plus some kind of issue with the hot water

After reading the reviews, I wanted to like this property. I know a lot of these little mountain inns can be a bit rustic and that is part of the charm. However, I would not come back and stay here. Our room was very dated with dark purple walls and then lavender in the bathroom. The dark purple showed every bit of dust on the walls and there was a lot of it. The lampshades were also very dusty. The carpet was stained. There was a food stain on our floral comforter that made me think it had not been washed. The wifi did not work. I tried to call the office and the phone rang and rang (during business hours). I called the sister partner across the street and left a voicemail. No one called me back, even after 24 hours of waiting. The water pressure was nice and the bathroom was clean, but other than that, the walkability was the only positive.

Great location! Don't count on taking a hot shower. When property staff was advised of the lack of hot water I was advised "wait awhile". I already waited an hour!

Carpet was very wrinkled and needed to be replaced. Otherwise, very nicely furnished.

The two bedroom suite was very spacious and comfortable. It was also very clean! We had a wonderful stay.

The beds were comfortable but we couldn't sleep because of the loud a/c unit, which had no way to be turned off or adjusted in the room.

Dripping water pipe outside plus a jammed window i couldn’t close meant I lost a nights sleep.

was clean enough. very small room and was an updated older motel. motel is within walking distance to downtown.

The only problem my encountered was a very old uncomfortable worn out mattress. Only stayed one night, but my back hurt all next day because I slept in a U-shaped fashion.

I gave a poor rating solely because the mattress in room 111 was completely worn out which made a very sleepless night. Room was clean and grounds were very nice.

Everything was great!! I wish the ac/heater unit wasn’t so loud at night.

BRI is a charming little "old fashioned" motel. They allowed us to check in a little before 3:00 which was super nice. The location cannot be beat! The only thing that prevented me from giving 5 stars overall is the HVAC was LOUD and woke me up continually in the night.

I don’t typically leave reviews, but I feel like I need to with Blowing Rock Inn. First off, the front desk staff was amazing. You can tell they truly care about their place of work and also the customers. Dawn (I think that was her name, if I recall), even left me a voicemail after checkin to make sure everything was up to standard. The guy at checkout asked me how everything was (I could tell he really cared and wasn’t just asking out of protocol). Also, my room was adorable and I loved that it had a mini Keurig in it. The property was peaceful and walking distance from everything downtown. I will definitely be back!

The location is great & vintage aspect is cool. Staff was very helpful, when I finally found someone, as nobody was onsite for anything- had to go offsite to check in. Carpet was so disgusting, I never went without shoes & front door didn't shut properly, leaving big gaps & had no deadbolt or other lock. Other cleanliness in room was good & bed was comfy.

We love this hotel. Staff is great. Clean and attentive to needs. Near the Main Street but quiet and peaceful. We have been staying here for years and love the vibe!

The air conditioner in our room did not work. When we told them, they moved us to another room with only one bed. Did not offer any kind of refund for the cheaper room. Will not go back.

Great staff and a great location. One of my favorite places to stay any time I am visiting the area.

We were traveling and needed a one night stay near Sugar Mountain for a day of skiing. Blowing Rock Inn was reasonably priced and close enough for us so we booked a room. We were so surprised when we arrived! It was so quiet, quaint, clean, with convenient parking and close enough to walk to some great restaurants, boutiques, and the town square which was decorated for Christmas! Holly at the front desk was so helpful and friendly, too. We will definitely consider staying there again.

The room was small. The bathroom was smaller. Staff availability between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM was poor.

Thr air conditioning didn't work very well. The room was cleaned 1 day while we were there and they left the dirty towels in the bathroom for 2 days. We had to request cleaning services. There was no hot water and they said, Oh yeah, the managemnet knows. " One day there was no ice available. Bathroom curtain was torn in two places. The exterior door didn't sit in the framing correctly so daylight. The carpet was so old it was mildewy and buckled. It had a distinct mildewy smell.

The staff were so nice & helpful, the rooms were clean & nice- just what we needed for a quick trip to our beloved NC mountains! Thank you, Blowing Rock Inn for a lovely stay!

I didn't like having to pay a deposit and was told that you get back after check out and haven't received it I haven't had to pay a deposit at a hotel before. Never seen any staff

Loved being right off the Main Street! Easy walk to shopping, restaurants, historical sites, and the Glen Burney Trail! Room was quaint and clean.

Property is in the heart of Blowing Rock. Easy walk to everything in town. Renovated motor inn, it’s clean, bright, and comes with a touch of nostalgia. Staff was friendly. I will definitely plan to stay at the Blowing Rock Inn again.

The design of the buildings shows an earlier time. However the grounds, outside and interior are all first class and up to date. The bed was very comfortable. There were two sitting chairs and one desk chair. All very comfortable. Probably best motel shower I have experienced in a while. Location could not be better as you could walk the entire area of Blowing Rock.

The room was very clean and beds very comfortable. Staff was excellent and breakfast was great. Rooms are a little old and small but was very quiet. I’d definitely stay again.

Surrounded by the beautiful town of Blowing Rock this quaint motel was a very nice easy place to settle for the night. This is set up with all doors/rooms exterior, side by side. Our room was graciously upgraded because of a noise with heating system. Which was annoying to try to sleep, but the upgrade was very nice. The room was comfortable and very clean. The bed was very comfortable and the towels and supplies were fresh, great quality and plentiful. There was no breakfast offerred. Coffeepot and refrigerator are in the room.

The villa we stayed in was superb! It looked like it had been newly refurbished with high quality materials from the flooring to the paint to the lovely tiling in the bathroom. It was very spacious and well appointed. The rock platform for the fireplace was a lovely focal point. It was spotlessly clean. The only disappointment was that the wall AC in the bedroom was extremely loud. Also, it would have been nice to have had some extra covers, since it gets chilly at night in the mountains even in July. There is a very spacious porch with rocking chairs with a view of a pleasant yard. Across from the property is a gorgeous garden that was truly a pleasure to wander through. The property is within easy walking distance to downtown Blowing Rock and has it's own parking lot--which is essential because there is no parking to be had downtown during busy times of the year. There's a lovely new restaurant less than a block away that has a wonderful breakfast menu. We will definitely be staying here again!
