The only lift broke down and not working for at least 4 days, very difficult for people to walk 4-5 flights of stairs, especially for elderly folks and those with leg issues.

We had a super time at the Vertigo and will definitely return. It’s a boutique hotel with great facilities. The rooms are cool and the AC was effective but not noisy (rare in France!). The seating areas throughout the hotel are very cool. The barmen made great drinks. The free candy bar is a cute gimmick. The pool and spa area is small but we enjoyed it. Best of all is the area - walk out the door and you’re in downtown Dijon which has a lot to offer.

Hôtel design, il faut bien l'avouer...... Cependant le diable se cache dans les détails... et c'est le cas pour cet hôtel. Il y a un manque certain d'entretien pour le standing qu'affiche l'hôtel. (Piscine sans jet et seulement à 26°, hammam ko, finition chaotique des chambres, odeur dans les couloirs, espace de déjeuner mal réfléchi, parking non accessible de l'intérieur de l'hôtel, escaliers en désuétude, frigo de chambre non fonctionnel, etc)

Great night at Hotel Vertigo in Dijon, and it was honestly a beautiful experience. My room was in the attic-style section, with sloped ceilings — very artistic and full of character. The interior design was unique and creative, with lovely details that made the space feel like an art gallery. After a long travel day, I was exhausted, but the reception staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. It made a big difference. I also enjoyed the design of the Nuxe Spa — calm, stylish, and a pleasure to enjoy and relax. Also Bar was one of the best in town, you have to try! — the hotel has a peaceful and tasteful atmosphere. Being alone in this beautiful, artistic space, looking out the window at the historic rooftops of Dijon, was truly calming. I felt like I was living in a little dream. Would absolutely stay again. Perfect for solo travelers, art lovers, and anyone who appreciates unique boutique design.

Un peu déçu , nous avions pris cette hôtel pour avoir accès au spa . Le hammam est hors service Les jets dans la piscine aussi Donc il restait le sauna et une mini piscine un peu juste pour le spa Par contre les massages de très bonne qualités et un personnel au petit soins

The cost on Expedia was only a total of 20 euro less than booking directly with Marriott..I would have booked directly with Marriott for my upgrade options and points if I had known. The 4 star property is pretty run down. The towels were well worn, the mirror in the bathroom I had had a giant crack at the bottom, and the shower smelled like mildew. The staff was friendly and helpful, the a/c worked, there was a Nespresso for coffee to use in the morning and the location was convenient to walk to everything central to Dijon.

Très bon séjour, hôtel très bien situé en plein centre ville. Décoration originale, petit déjeuner au top. Le spa et les offres de massages sont vraiment un plus, très appréciables. Seul bémol sur l’état des serviettes de bain qui présentaient des trous. La configuration de la aalle de bain peut surprendre en arrivant car elle est partie prenante de la chambre mais on s’y fait vite.

Modern hotel in the centre with car park (albeit very narrow parking bays for anything but very small cars), quirky design probably not to everyone’s taste, our room was on the 5th floor so had very limited ceiling height on about half of the room. Apparently that’s different on lower floors. Swimming pool is small and shared with another hotel next door, bathroom is incorporated into the room- as in many modern hotels but not to my taste, lack of privacy if you are sharing a room and I never know if I sleep in the bathroom or shower in the bedroom. Breakfast ok but not fantastic and expensive for what it is.

We stayed at the Vertigo for just one night, on a stopover on our way to Corsica. The design is fabulous - gleaming black glass and marble everywhere. Our check-in and instructions for the parking were very easy and the lady on reception spoke both French and English fluently. Once in our room, we were both impressed with how well the relatively small space had been laid out, so it felt airy and light, with beautiful design features like waterfall taps in the sink. We stopped for a cocktail in the bar, which was delicious, before heading out to find dinner. The hotel is well placed to walk to plenty of restaurants. After a good night's sleep on the comfy, seemingly floating, bed, we had a full breakfast - eggs, bacon, sausages in cute little pots, plus the usual array of pastries - before a quick, simple checkout. We completely forgot that Vertigo also has a pool, so didn't use it, but would definitely return next time and do so. Recommended!

Das Zimmer war schön und sauber, aber sehr eng. Die Straße vor dem Hotel ist groß und laut, allerdings war in der Nacht wenig Verkehr und wir konnten gut schlafen. Das Design wurde oft kritisiert, aber das verstehe ich nicht. Man sieht auf den Bildern wie das Hotel aussieht, das ist speziell, war aber stilvoll. Den Raumduft in der Lobby würde ich überdenken. Die Tiefgarage ist relativ eng. Für unser Auto ging es, für größere SUVs könnte es knapp werden und man hat keinen direkten Durchgang zum Hotel. Uns hat das nicht gestört. Wir sind mit unserem Hund gereist und hatten einen Park direkt neben dem Hotel und die Innenstadt ist nahe. Das war ausschlaggebend für unsere Wahl.

We got what was surely the worst room in a hotel. Turns out most if not all the rooms are like this, even though it is a US branded hotel (Best Western). There were bright orange and green lights IN OUR ROOM! I kid you not. For $200 a night, we paid to advertise our hotel. Blackout curtains didn't help. And I stupidly paid $20 for a glass of wine at the hotel bar in a town where wine is $3 a glass. Bought a bottle at a local wine shop for $4 for the next 2 nights. Not sure if there are "dark" rooms. Didn't think to ask. Check it out.

No tiene sentido ni los precios ni las estrellas del hotel. Muy mal servicio de recepción, la entrada es a partir de las 15h si quieres antes debes pagar 50€ de más en más en función de a la hora que seleccionas, lo cual puede ser comprensible, pero lo que no tiene sentido es el trato en recepción y sobretodo que te dejan esperando literal hasta las 15h en punto para darte la habitación. Estábamos varios huéspedes igual, y hasta que no fue la hora ni siquiera nos dieron la habitación 1 minuto antes. Por otra parte, se ve como están dejando el hotel perder cada vez más calidad, el desayuno super básico y de mala calidad. Y las instalaciones no cuentan con ascensor desde hace 2 meses como se indican en otras valoraciones y en Google por otros huéspedes. No tiene sentido ni los precios ni las estrellas del hotel. Muy mal servicio de recepción, la entrada es a partir de las 15h si quieres antes debes pagar 50€ de más en más en función de a la hora que seleccionas, lo cual puede ser comprensible, pero lo que no tiene sentido es el trato en recepción y sobretodo que te dejan esperando literal hasta las 15h en punto para darte la habitación. Estábamos varios huéspedes igual, y hasta que no fue la hora ni siquiera nos dieron la habitación 1 minuto antes. Por otra parte, se ve como están dejando el hotel perder cada vez más calidad, el desayuno super básico y de mala calidad. Y las instalaciones no cuentan con ascensor desde hace 2 meses como se indican en otras valoraciones y en Google por otros huéspedes. Loved this hotel. Every member of staff we met was wonderful. Thank you! We arrived very early and hoped to be able to just store our baggage, instead we were upgraded and given an available room. It was incredibly thoughtful. The room had a lovely view of Dijon and was so cute in design. We loved the quirky furniture, and really fun design choices. The minibar selection was so unique… things we have never seen before and the little mustard gift was just wonderful! All the room amenities were great. The hotel itself is located perfectly between Dijon station and main centre ville. We used the spa facility and had fantastic massages and relaxed in the cute pool… sadly they don’t seem to have the glitter balls anymore (we were disappointed). This hotel is incredible value and a joy to stay…m we were tempted to extend our stay.

L'hôtel est très moderne, assez original et très bien situé, proche de la gare et à 2 pas du centre ville. La télévision ne captait quasiment pas, j'ai donc abandonné l'idée de suivre quelque programme que ce soit. Mais j'ai été déçue le matin au moment de régler, qu'en évoquant ce souci, rien n'ait été proposé pour s'excuser du désagrément. Pour un hôtel à ce prix, je m'attendais à un service plus attentionné.

Excellent location! Room - Regular sized bed & hot shower. Odd decor. Hotel Staff - Our experience with the staff we encountered were that they were not particularly friendly but just did the minimum Swimming pool - It was great that there is was a (small) indoor swimming pool and spa. Open till midnight. Nuxe Spa - Its great that there is a Nuxe spa directly downstairs; you just take the lift. The Nuxe spa workers were a bit inexperienced and I'm not sure if they had training in massage or beauty. Next time in Dijon I would try a different hotel as the cost vs hotel experience didn't match.

We had a super time at the Vertigo and will definitely return. It’s a boutique hotel with great facilities. The rooms are cool and the AC was effective but not noisy (rare in France!). The seating areas throughout the hotel are very cool. The barmen made great drinks. The free candy bar is a cute gimmick. The pool and spa area is small but we enjoyed it. Best of all is the area - walk out the door and you’re in downtown Dijon which has a lot to offer.

We stayed at the Vertigo for just one night, on a stopover on our way to Corsica. The design is fabulous - gleaming black glass and marble everywhere. Our check-in and instructions for the parking were very easy and the lady on reception spoke both French and English fluently. Once in our room, we were both impressed with how well the relatively small space had been laid out, so it felt airy and light, with beautiful design features like waterfall taps in the sink. We stopped for a cocktail in the bar, which was delicious, before heading out to find dinner. The hotel is well placed to walk to plenty of restaurants. After a good night's sleep on the comfy, seemingly floating, bed, we had a full breakfast - eggs, bacon, sausages in cute little pots, plus the usual array of pastries - before a quick, simple checkout. We completely forgot that Vertigo also has a pool, so didn't use it, but would definitely return next time and do so. Recommended!

This was a great location for visiting Dijon. It is in the heart of everything but still peaceful and quiet. The decor was cool. We liked the bar and the breakfast was nice. The bed was comfortable. The staff were very nice and allowed us to check in early. I used the pool and sauna. The pool is a little smaller than pictured but fine. The sauna was great.

Hôtel design, il faut bien l'avouer...... Cependant le diable se cache dans les détails... et c'est le cas pour cet hôtel. Il y a un manque certain d'entretien pour le standing qu'affiche l'hôtel. (Piscine sans jet et seulement à 26°, hammam ko, finition chaotique des chambres, odeur dans les couloirs, espace de déjeuner mal réfléchi, parking non accessible de l'intérieur de l'hôtel, escaliers en désuétude, frigo de chambre non fonctionnel, etc)
