I only stayed here for 2 nights - was out with friends all day and only there overnight. 2nd night was a washout and waste of $ though. I was sound asleep and heard pounding (as if on the front door of the inn) at 1AM - woke up, disoriented and agitated/worried about who was making that noise. The pounding stopped then started again after a few minutes so I was not able to settle down and get back to sleep. Packed up, and left early forgoing the continental breakfast, drove across the border and got home almost an hour before the 11am checkout time! Innkeeper wasn't aware at all about the disturbance till I saw him in the small parking lot as I was ready to drive away and told him. It was an expensive night of unrest and one not soon forgotten as it had not ever happened to me anywhere before.

A very clean, well maintained hotel with spacious suites as advertised. Excellent convenient parking. A nice location with the feel of a country estate. Owner operator very friendly and helpful . Look forward to staying there again when the need arises.

Good stay with great service and friendly owner. Stayed in the Roman theme room and was comfortable, roomy and clean. Shower a bit clunky but once worked out was ok. Had the continental breakfast and was ok - good service. Lots of parking. Will stay there again.

4 star hotel but way too much dust from lobby to suite floors, dusty walls, pictures, light fixtures, so many dusty nicknacks it was ridiculous. Otherwise woukd have been a 5 star stay.

This place is cute, I wasn’t happy that there was a dirty bandaid left on the night stand. I didn’t see it and it stuck to my water cup. Yuck!! The soaker tub was amazing looking but not enough hot water to fill it. Queen bed very uncomfortable (can feel the springs). The Continental breakfast was pretty good. Fruit & muffins & croissants. We expected a lot more for this price point.

Very nice room, and wonderful gracious staff. Room was spacious and quite comfortable as well as nicely appointed. A few cob webs, and stains around the taps, pretty minor actually. Would definitely come back, and do recommend.

This place could be such a dream to stay overnight. The grounds are beautiful, the lobby is welcoming (always playing classical music!), the rooms are decorated beautifully, the owners are lovely, kind people...but they are in dire need of someone to clean the rooms. I understand the owners are trying to sell the property but the room I stayed in was so disappointing and made my stay stressful. I'm allergic to mold and dust and there was plenty of both. I actually took the time to write down the cleaning needs. I hope the owners find a young couple to buy the gorgeous property! I have stayed twice and will not stay again.

Absolutely everything was beyond perfection in this amazing establishment. The host, Chris, was friendly and accommodating upon my arrival and even drove me to the airport the next morning to retrieve my vehicle. The hotel is spotless, quaint and quirky and invites a person to wander and wonder. When I entered my suite, I honestly believe that my mouth dropped open at the whimsical decor and use of accessories and sheer amazement of what I was about to enjoy. I walked through the suite recording and commenting on my camera phone so that I could share it with my 2 adult children. Everything is very tastefully decorated by Chris' wife Sandi and I felt like it had been done just for me!!! In the morning, at the continental breakfast in the stunning dining room, I chatted with one couple who had stayed several times and the wife agreed that the "Secret Garden" was a favorite suite. Honestly, I did not want to leave and when Chris drove me to retrieve my truck I told him that the Brookside Inn had spoiled me for any other hotel. We parted with a big hug as good friends would do.

Not the typical property style I’d stay at. The owner/ caretaker was very friendly and kind to deal with. The doors had large gaps offering less then privacy compared to what I’m use to. Also the cleanliness of the room was to be desired. We found glasses and couple other items left by previous guests. Also under the bed had a layer of dust that was hard to miss if you dropped something and happen to look.

A hidden Gem. Spacious high quality rooms. NOT JUST A HOTEL, but each room is designed after a movie theme. Incredible hosts, great value. My wife and I have stayed there multiple times, and this our favorite place in the Abbotsford area to stay

Brookside Inn is in a very peaceful area. The building itself is quiet. I was in the Vineyard suite on the second floor and it was absolutely lovely. The view from my deck was like being in Provence! I hope to go back next summer, too.

We were very happy with our stay at this boutique hotel. Wow. Best room ever! Stayed in the “Midnight in Paris” suite. Gorgeous. Romantic. Just awesome. Chris our host was really nice and so attentive. Thank you!

Very convenient if you are travelling in or out of Abbotsford airport. The rooms are large with everything you could need. The continental breakfast was really good, and the hosts were amazing. The neighborhood is really nice if you like to walk around.

Brookside Inn is in a very peaceful area. The building itself is quiet. I was in the Vineyard suite on the second floor and it was absolutely lovely. The view from my deck was like being in Provence! I hope to go back next summer, too.

A beautiful stay by Abbotsford. Loved the decor. Very homey and tranquil. Breakfast was delicious but not anything special. Convenient to YXX with only a short drive.

Had a disappointing experience with this property, Limited food for continental breakfast,No channels on tv and limited water coming from shower. Room heated by an electric fireplace no adequate. Very expensive for what is supplied.

Nice quiet place. Clean. Good neighborhood. Internet slow. In the quote was said that there will be a present upon arrival. Haven't received anything :) Late breakfast is not very convenient.

The Tuscany suite was beautiful and clean. Excellent value for the money. There was a small but served breakfast. The owner is an interesting man to talk to.

Very nice facilities, spacious room with comfortable bed. The breakfast was somewhat disappointing, however -- deluxe cooked breakfast is no longer available, just an OK continental breakfast. We were kept awake by noisy guests upstairs. Nice hotel, but not quite as nice as older reviews led us to believe, especially considering the price.

As always, a true delight to stay at Brookside. We love the rooms. They are so elegant and impeccably decorated. We still get excited when we can work a night or two into our travel plans to visit the Brookside Inn.

Property was clean and staff friendly. Had an early departure and they made accommodations to set out breakfast early for us. Property within short driving distance to town and restaurants, breweries etc.

Lovely little hotel. Well kept, very clean, and thoughtfully decorated themed rooms. The host was helpful and accomodating. The continental style breakfast was fresh and well presented. Will stay here again if in the area, without question. Situated in a quiet residential area, with easy access to the Abbotsford Airport, local shopping and dining (traffic is a nightmare, but that applies to Vancouver and area in general), and about an hour drive from the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal (depending on traffic, see above). The host shared some local knowledge to help us avoid most of the traffic on the way to the ferry.

All the units are actually excellently furnished suites with their own balconies and enough closet space for everything you could bring. Full sized shower as well as a bathtub a size and a half larger than standard. All this for the cost of a standard hotel room! Chris, the host, is warm and welcoming.
