Off the beaten track in a town that has all the amenities needed, and in a beautiful region. The hotel was a great size, not too big at all. Breakfast was included and deliciously made! The pub in the hotel was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the area. The biscuits, face cloths and fan in the room were appreciated, first hotel to have these small but nice additions (after staying in seven previously). The hotel is modest, clean, with kind staff, and had all we needed.

Very friendly staff. Only stayed 1 night so ate at the pub on site , lots of choices for ales. Local beef. Big breakfast included the next morning with several options. Very homey , def. would recommend and I woukd stay there again

Die Familie die das Hotel betreibt war nett und freundlich. Die Zimmer waren sauber . Leider fehlte dort unser Feuermelder und der Duschvorhang müsste auch mal erneuert werden. Die Zimmer waren nicht mehr im besten Zustand. Das Essen war in Ordnung . Leider hat es unten im Pub keinen guten Geruch gehabt. Allgemein muss man sagen das man für 140 Euro pro Doppelzimmer mehr erwartet hat. Das Hotel hat eine gute Lage um zu Wandern ansonsten ist in Tinahely nicht viel los

On arrival was told I had no booking by the bar maid .Then she refreshed her tablet to say oh I have found it , it would have been good if she could crack a smile .The bar area was grotty with sticky tables .Walked into the room to be met by 3 large silverfish in the bath .The room was nice but very hot .It was a Saturday night the noise went on till 1.30 in the morning in the back beer garden .The breakfast was excellent .I read this place had really good reviews I was not impressed

Nice cosy place to sleep and eat after 5 days walking the Wicklow Way from Dublin. Direct return to Dublin Airport by Express bus from Arklow the next day .

Nice place. Fantastic breakfast and dining options. Lovely atmosphere. Fantastic staff! Young ladies worked like Trojans but always managed to keep on smiling. This is really a 4.5 experience rather than just 4. Only let down was the small bed (double) with most accommodation offering at least Queen size. We found it difficult for a good night's sleep as a result. This may not bother some, however. Despite this would definitely recommend. Tip: If you eat the full Irish you won't need to make arrangements for lunch 😊

Check in was very efficient. The electronic cards to our rooms were already prepared and waiting for us. Although not new, the property was well maintained and everything worked well. Lee was the receptionist, bartender and waitress and did an outstanding job. Our dinners in the restaurant on site were all very good. Breakfast was made to order and was also excellent.

The staff was above and beyond amazing! I needed a ride to a town 30 minutes away to catch the bus. No cabs available because of a nearby wedding. The owner called a local (waitress mum) and she happily drove me to the bus stop. Unbelievable!

I booked myself and the wife into Murphy’s hotel for a night to get a break away from the grind of family life. It looked nice in pictures but I was not sure about it tbh. But when we got there I was so happy with the experience. The staff were very friendly the hotel is so clean and comfortable, the food was delicious, really enjoyed ourselves. Excellent service, we are going to go back and stay again for longer next time.

Tinahely is off the beaten path for tourists unless you plan to do some hiking while in Ireland. Many and varied trails are close by. I wanted a comfortable place to do some writing for my last to days in-country, and Murphy's was perfect. The local people were friendly and helpful everywhere I went. Highly recommended if you want a place to unwind.

Beautiful countryside, Tinahealy has excellent services, for a village of its size. Accommodation, maintenance and management, prompt, clean with beyond the call of friendly, personable interaction from all, at Murphy’s Hotel and bar. Excellent breakfast and evening meal, if required. Would definitely recommend and hope to return. I hope our government does more to support these businesses, by reducing the VAT rate and any other possible support, that can be provided re staffing. 👏 Murphy’s Hotel Tinahealy.
