Wonderful accomodations. Great A/C, breakfast, pool, and service. Monkeys hanging around by the pool every afternoon!! Staff couldn't have been more helpful or accomodating. Easy walking distance to National Park and local beach.

The hotel is smaller and feels intimate. The gardens are beautiful and very well kept. We saw many monkeys n property. Rooms were very clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The bartender at the pool was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We have have stayed at more expensive hotels in Manuel Anton near the park, and we liked this one best. We will definitely stay here again.

This was my 8th time traveling to Costa Rica and this hotel was definitely one of my favorites! Perfect location for walking and great free breakfast options. The pool is nice and we got to watch monkeys while sipping a drink. 10/10! I will be back, thank you!

A wonderful little hotel in a great location. It was a 3-4 minute walk to both the beach and the national park. I would use again. The staff was very courteous and helpful. Breakfast was very good. I even had the pizza one night (they have a wood burning pizza oven) and it was very good. Parking can be a bit tight. I believe there were about 10 spots but it always seemed to work itself out.

Nice, tranquil hotel. Centrally located, in walkable distance to the beach, restaurants and Manual Antonio Park. Very quite and safe even though it is located right off the main road. Very friendly and helpful staff. One caveat is parking. Very tight and impossible to accommodate a large SUV

Out of many hotels in the area of Manuel Antonio National Park, this one is located perfectly, allowing quick and easy access to the park and to the public beach. Other hotels could be located much higher on the mountain, requiring quite a challenging hike to and from the beach. This hotel is clean, the staff is friendly, and their included breakfast is very good, with several made-to-your-order dishes. We enjoyed staying there, and would stay there again if we decide to visit Manuel Antonio again.

A very good location, right on the neighbor of Manuel Antonio. We rent a car, park in hotel, walked to parque de Manuel Antonio. Don't have to looking park to the park. Hotel is quite, clean, service is good, pizza wood burned is so delicious. Employee are nice, very friendly. Highly recommend

Disfrutamos en familia de una estacia de 2 noches. Este agradable hotel tiene una excelente ubicación en relación con la entrada al Parque Nacional a tan solo una caminata muy corta. La playa también se encuentra relativamente cerca. Las instalaciones están limpias y los jardines bien cuidados. Las instalaciones requieren de algunos detalles de mantenimiento pero están en buen estado. Por ejemplo la máquina de aire acondicionado de una de nuestras habitaciones tenía condensación a lo interno y dejaba gotas en el suelo de la habitación y se notaba que era un equipo con bastantes años de funcionamiento. En las tardes ofrecen pizza a la leña a la venta. El desayuno incluido está correcto, ofrecen varias opciones de la cocina. Las habitaciones están bien, no obstante así como en muchos otros alojamientos, no hay muchas facilidades para colgar o tender ropa mojada. El espacio para la acomodar la ropa limpia está algo limitado. Tienen dos zonas estacionamiento de vehículos al frente del hotel. Una de ellas es bastante limitada en cantidad y espacio. La atención en general es buena.

We were very pleased with our stay at this boutique hotel. It is very conveniently located for Manuel Antonio National Park, only 300 m, as advertised. The room we had was spacious, cool with efficient air conditioning and very comfortable. Ours had a small deck where we watched capuchin monkeys in the tree above us. Despite its proximity to the hustle and bustle of the park entrance, the hotel was a true haven with a lovely pool, which had a bar and a wood fired pizza oven. All in all, we had a five star stay at a very reasonable rate.

La chambre était correct, il manquait de la place quand on vient avec 2 grandes valises, penderie et rangement limite si on reste plusieurs jours sur place. Terrasse, piscine très bien. Não é butique, é pousada. Estacionamento apertado “na calçada”. Nos ofereceram dois tipos de camas, mas ambas eram moles demais Pessoal muito gentil, upgrade de quarto, ar condicionado. Café da manhã bem gostoso e completo. Localização bem próxima do parque e de uma boa praia pública (dá pra ir à pé nos dois).

The staff went above and beyond to take care of us. Our local flight was cancelled the day before our stay and Joseway sent a driver to pick us up 6 hours away. He also took care of all our excursions. Rodrigo took care of our made to order breakfast every morning and is so kind. It is a Great location! It’s a 3 min. Walk to the beach and 5 min. to Manuel Antonio National Park.

Very enjoyable hotel experience. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful helping us get taxis or a book tours. Breakfast was nice and pizza at the hotel by the pool was very good. On the hotel grounds, we saw frogs, iguana, and many types of birds.

Location Location Location! Everything was within walking distance, including the beach. Very convenient to Manuel Antonio Park entrance. Friendly staff particularly Marcela at the front desk, Juan at the bar, and Rodrigo at breakfast and the gift shop. Great job with recommendations for activities in the area. Highly recommend for those planning to visit Manuel Antonio area!

Beautiful property in only a few minutes walk to Manuel Antonio. Quick and easy check in and out. Only a few rooms so it never seems crowded. Surrounded by trees, and you’ll hear/see birds and if lucky even monkeys.

A diamond in the jungle. This was our favorite place of 4 places we stayed in Costa Rica. The wood fired pizza was incredible, great breakfast, friendly staff and clean rooms. You truly get the feeling of being in the forest. You’ll love it!

Just a 3 minute walk to the Manuel Antonio National Park. The staff was very sweet, helped us with our luggage and late check out. The young lady at the front desk was very helpful with explaining what is around the area and even the maintenance person reminded us we could stay after check out to enjoy the facilities. They offer continental breakfast on the go and you can order some hot food options. The wood fire pizza offered pool side was very good as were the drinks. Overall a great stay and would definitely stay here again.

La Vela is a definite hit! The location is amazing, close to everything including the beach and The National Park. The daily breakfast was made upon request fresh daily, awesome! On the downside they need to add a microwave and cutlery to the rooms. Otherwise Great

Amazing property! I love how it is small and chic, great location to the park, and walking distance to a lot of restaurants, beach and bars. Staff are extremely friendly and quick to help you. Breakfast buffet and happy hour were a plus!
