If you are looking for an historic experience with exceptional staff this is your place. It is very convenient to Bates College where we attended a public event. That put us arriving after hours, but the staff stayed up to get us comfortable to our room.

The good: The room was large, bed reasonably comfortable, towels fluffy, and the combo lamp/charging port by the bedsides a nice touch. There is also a very good restaurant (DaVinci's) and inviting brew pub within walking distance. Our room was a comfortable temperature. The not so good: the place has clearly seen better days; the photos are misleading and suggest a far more elegant and well decorated place than we found. The shag carpeting on the staircase up to our room reeked of dog pee; the door rails in the shower and other nooks in the room were not clean. some guests may be put off by the surrounding area - a little sketchy (ie. folks with the appearance of drug users in the park you have to walk through to get to the restaurants) but not I think dangerous - still, worth mentioning. There are few places to stay in Lewiston and if we had had a better sense of the place when we booked and if it had been less expensive (we paid $195 for 1 night) it might have been acceptable, but I thought I'd write this review so that others have a clearer picture than me.

Very Nice facility set in an old Rectory. My room was great and the owner was very helpful. Reasonable price. Amenities (no dining, restaurants not easy walking distance) were not as nice as I would have liked.

In a very bad area. All kinds of noise at night and couldn’t sleep. The air vents are also very loud. Barking dog at night as well.

Inn Keeper Billie super friendly, supplies lots of extras. Perfect location to being able to access an extra early morning hockey tournament and dance competition. Hoping we didn’t disturb them on each of our rush out mornings.
