Tempo Inn West Kowloon HSR Station

i will say, that for the value, the room was VERY comfortable. it is not the newest property and it's basically a retired apartment but for me, i'd stay here again and here's why: location: right in the the heart of temple street area and close to the train station. all the food and street vendors are next block over and there are like 2-3 legit massage parlors as neighbors 7/11 is across the street and 24 hour food is a block away. huge advantage for me 2) the bed- the bed was super comfy 3) the ac- the AC got very cold since it's a small room it got cold very fast 4) the shower and toilet and hot water worked great 5) wifi was pretty decent at 100mbps and for wifi, that's pretty decent if you are on a budget and don't mind staying in a smaller space and by yourself, this is the best place for your value i think keep in mind, you need to check in before 6pm so i did that around 2pm early and had no issues

Minimalist but clean and convenient

Greeting guests via secure intercom and door entry systems says it all. Easily the least pleasant hotel experience I've had, and I've stayed 100's of hotels. You've been warned.

The fire Exit is locked ! All of stuff is stored in public area.

If you set the one star hotel expectation and only stay overnight for lay over. I think this is the best option. You can take bus A22 to the hotel and back to the airport. It is cheaper than AirPort Express. Do not expect a large room with ocean view. This is HK.
