Staff at check in were great & very helpful. Spacious room, clean but a few stains on carpet & walls. Rip on edge of duvet cover, marks on 2 of the towels. Fire alarm sounded around 10pm, the hotel evacuated but there was no explanation from staff what was happening? Steam room area small but functional. Breakfast was excellent. Good location, close to Deansgate.

Really liked the hotel. It was clean and quite quiet for a city hotel. Bed and linen comfortable. Fantastic location - lots of bars and restaurants nearby. The steam room and sauna was a bonus.

Stayed here for Hyrox in Manchester and the location to the event was so close. Great coffee shop across the road and the wellness spa was a great find the night before the competition.

Great stay, shower door in room 713, doesnt stay shut whenever your in the shower so water leaks over the floor requiring you to use your towels on the floor in order to keep it dry, no toilet brush ? Small screen in room Breakfast is only till 10 30 but very nice and good selection. The gym is a tickbox exercise very very basic Sauna is average 60ndegree Steam room has many tiles missing nut is relitivily hot overall it was good The spa with lisa was amazing

Great location, fab having the car park so nearby. We stayed as we were going to the theatre, it’s a 5 min walk from the theatre. Room was lovely and spacious, and a great touch having complimentary drinks in the mini bar. Superb value

Excellent hotel for overnight stay in manchester.Qcarpark 2 minutes away so very convenient if arriving by car.Rooms spacious and modern.Good amenities with free dribks in the minifrige.Lovely buffet breakfast,but a bit expensive if you dont get an inclusive rate .Checkout time is midday which means you can take it easy in the morning.Location of hotel is good with plenty within reasonable walking distance

Our stay was ok but the room wasn't up to the standard of cleanliness of the Newcastle Hotel. The toilet walls were marked with urine and bogey stains i told the receptionist and he said he would inform the cleaning staff me and my husband went out for the evening and returned to our room and it still hadn't been cleaned. I was disappointed i expected better than this we will not be staying here again

Room was dirty, marks on walls, curtains, dusty and marked and chair. Pillows far too soft. Restraunt grubby, staffed wiped tables on to floor, unhelpful and abrupt when asking for serviets as we had spilt yoghurt.

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent stay on 01/01/2025. My family and I had traveled from London for a wedding, a journey of over 4.5 hours with our 4-month-old baby, and unfortunately, the experience fell far short of acceptable standards. Upon checking in at approximately 3:30 PM, we were directed to a room that was still being cleaned. This left us waiting outside with our baby in tow until the cleaning staff finished. Frustrated, I returned to reception, where the staff, clearly flustered, reassigned us to another room. Regrettably, the new room was not up to standard either. It was excessively dusty, as evidenced by thick layers of dust behind the television and filthy carpets. My husband and I suffer from dust allergies, and despite taking allergy medication, we experienced severe discomfort during our stay. I strongly believe that the conditions of the room contributed to our current state of illness. Additionally, the following issues further disrupted our stay: • Toilet flush: The flush ran continuously throughout the night, which significantly disturbed our sleep. • Noise: Loud noises from the corridors repeatedly woke our baby, adding unnecessary stress. • Heating and draft: Despite setting the heating to full, the room remained cold due to a noticeable draft, making it extremely uncomfortable.

Very friendly service but wanted a £50 upfront deposit that was not mentioned at booking. Sheets in room were dirty and not ironed. Worst part was the wellness gym/sauna/steam room. Floor in steam room was filthy with rubbish and broken tiles. I stayed 2 nights and still hadn’t been cleaned when I checked the next day. Overall could have been a fantastic stay but let down with small details that a decent chain should be on top of so 3 star

The hotel is in a great up and coming area with lots to do. Food at breakfast was excellent, we did not eat in the hotel on the evening. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable of the area and things to do. My only issue is the upkeep of corridors and carpets in the rooms which were dirty

Check in was easy and the reception staff were friendly. The room was very clean, the bed was comfy and the bathroom spotless. We appreciated the free soft drinks and chilled water. The hotel is conveniently placed for both shopping, restaurants and entertainment. Breakfast the next morning was delicious, there were plenty of hot and cold options, delicious pastries and breads. An easy to use coffee and tea machine is available. Would highly recommend this hotel and will use again.

Had a great stay overall! Loved the layout and size of the room with the bathroom inside the bedroom, great mirrors and ideal for makeup! loved how quickly drinks arrived via room service and I really liked the overall design of the hotel. The slight downsides: Pillows were too soft and the bed was very hard but it didn’t effect sleeping. The tv could also do with an update/ could be much bigger for the size of the room. Someone also came in our room around 9am which was concerning, luckily we had the safety lock on. Overall we would stay again as we enjoyed it for the price we payed :)

What a fabulous hotel. Spacious modern room; lovely toiletries; free.soft drinks in minibar and good tea/coffee making facilities (with mugs!). Got room at a competitive rate compared to other options. Friendly helpful staff. Didn’t have time to try out wider facilities in hotel but would definitely recommend this hotel.

Large well appointed modern hitel with beautiful Italian chain restaurant in the lobby. Overall, after initial change of rooms due to location directly opposite lifts, comfirtabke and quiet. Very minimalistic rooms and open plan bathrooms. Great location just out of city centre but in easy walking. Will stay again.

A couple of issues - no windows in the room and the aircon doesn’t go down far enough so the room was quite warm, and the Gino restaurant that provides room service is really quite awful - menu doesn’t list all items included with each dish, so I couldn’t eat my main, and the desert was ridiculously salty despite being a chocolate cheesecake and the base was about six inches thick, so that wasn’t eaten either. £36 wasted on food I didn’t eat

Our check in was quick & easy the staff explained all times for breakfast, spa etc then we were offered a complimentary glass of Prosecco to drink on the front terrace & also nibbles were brought around. This was a lovely touch. The location for us was great 15min walk to the opera house for Burlesque & 20mins to Kings street for shopping. We ate in the restaurant as there was an offer because we were attending Burlesque we had 2 courses for £25 which included a glass Prosecco we did pay for Olives on top as they were on the nibbles tray earlier & were fantastic. Staff were great & friendly service was quick enough for us to get to show on time. The room was great comfy bed with 2 good pillows & great pressure hot shower everything we need. Fantastic hotel I would definitely book this next time I’m in Manchester

The lady who checked us in (Fernanda?) was lovely, friendly and helpful. We were early so left our bags. However, when we returned much later another receptionist (don't know his name) gave us a room that someone was already in! First of all the key (Rm 625) didn't work, then after we had to go back to get the key working, the room was occupied by a lady who got a shock when we opened the door and tried to go in. Luckily she had the clip on the door....that was really poor. Apart from that, we always love staying in the hotel and the breakfast was as good as ever. Despite that poor experience, we will be back soon.

After traveling all day, we arrived to a bit of a mess. Seems there was a problem with checkin. Computer glitch? We had to wait 30 minutes before checking in. Luckily, the restaurant next door was open, and we were able to get a bite to eat while we waited. We really just wanted to lay our heads down and close our eyes for a bit. All in all, we had a nice stay.

Great stay - the app lied to me though and told me we would get an upgrade if we checked in via the app but we didn’t. Otherwise great stay - staff are a credit, lovely modern, clean rooms, nice little extra touches in the rooms too - hard to fault!

Emails and messages via hotels.com app ignored days prior to check in. Reception staff abrupt and rude, vomit in the lift for hours, rooms very basic. Gino’s dominated the ground floor but it was empty (Saturday) and the hotel lacked warmth or atmosphere. I’ve stayed at the chain before and this is sadly a poor example.

Great place to stay for 3 nights - easy and close to get to places. Good transport links as Deansgate rail station and tram station was literally a few minutes down the road. Easy walk to Manchester city center and near museums and galleries. Thanks 👍

Great location, fab having the car park so nearby. We stayed as we were going to the theatre, it’s a 5 min walk from the theatre. Room was lovely and spacious, and a great touch having complimentary drinks in the mini bar. Superb value

Excellent hotel for overnight stay in manchester.Qcarpark 2 minutes away so very convenient if arriving by car.Rooms spacious and modern.Good amenities with free dribks in the minifrige.Lovely buffet breakfast,but a bit expensive if you dont get an inclusive rate .Checkout time is midday which means you can take it easy in the morning.Location of hotel is good with plenty within reasonable walking distance

The hotel was not up to the standard I would expect for the price. The bed was very uncomfortable and the breakfast buffet was poor. It was clean but it was all very bland. Certainly will not be choosing this hotel when I come back to Manchester.

Excellent overnight stay, we were going to a show at the Palace Theatre, which is a short walk away. Excellent hotel, with friendly and helpful staff, great amenities such as the room which was clean, well designed and very comfortable. The Gino D’Acampo restaurant which is located in the hotel has a great pre theatre menu (available up to 19:00) is good value and has enough options on to it suit everyone. Tasty, well prepared food and beverages. Overall we had a great time.

Great stay. Lovely modern hotel. Stayed here just before covid and the room was a lot cleaner last time, quite dusty this stay and the bathroom mirror was dirty. Also breakfast was better last time with not as much choice this time especially with lack of fresh fruit

This was probably one of the best places we have stayed at. Everyone was extremely helpful as we were out of country guests. Everything was as pictured as far as room & hotel itself. The breakfast was amazing. Restaurant on site provided some of the best food we’ve ever eaten.

Hotel staff were great. A couple of issues - no windows in the room and the aircon doesn’t go down far enough so the room was quite warm, and the Gino restaurant that provides room service is really quite awful - menu doesn’t list all items included with each dish, so I couldn’t eat my main, and the desert was ridiculously salty despite being a chocolate cheesecake and the base was about six inches thick, so that wasn’t eaten either. £36 wasted on food I didn’t eat

Check in was easy and the reception staff were friendly. The room was very clean, the bed was comfy and the bathroom spotless. We appreciated the free soft drinks and chilled water. The hotel is conveniently placed for both shopping, restaurants and entertainment. Breakfast the next morning was delicious, there were plenty of hot and cold options, delicious pastries and breads. An easy to use coffee and tea machine is available. Would highly recommend this hotel and will use again.

The lobby area is nice with table football for the kids (although some of the handles kept falling off which made it challenging to play!). Staff were helpful at check in but later we had a problem in the TV in the room and phoned reception who said they’d come in 10 minutes. It was evening, and we had the kids in their pyjamas ready to watch a film and have a big treat. An hour later no one had come and we couldn’t get through to them on the phone. I then had to get dressed out of my pyjamas to go down to reception in person to ask for help again. When someone did eventually come he was very apologetic for the delay and the TV issue turned out to be an issue with my phone, however the huge delay meant we’d had an hour of the kids being bored, us feeling stuck and the kids having a much later night than we’d have liked. It ruined what was supposed to be a nice night. The room was clean but very soulless and not as premium as the rest of the hotel felt.
