This hotel has been beautifully renovated. It is stylish, clean and conveniently located within walking distance of several restaurants and the Seven Sisters Brewery. Room was not very large, but beds were plush, bathrooms newly renovated and nicely decorated. Nice outdoor rooftop patio with magnificent view of the mountains.

Easy access for a halfway point on a road trip and parking was convenient. Bar restaurant good. Unfortunately roof tip bar closed right after sunset . Hallways in hotel kind of dingy and smelly. But rooms nice and comfortable

Staff were very helpful and courteous. Room was spotless and well furnished with furniture & lighting giving it a “homey” feeling. Loved the walk-in shower. Bed was a little too soft for my preferences. Nice having a restaurant on the premises in the cold weather.

All in all, this was a great place to stay. I tried getting a room with the best view since my wife and I were celebrating our 47th Anniversary but was told they tried but couldn’t make it happen. Also, I don’t mine paying more for a nice hotel which this was but I was disappointed that the tub did not drain well. I told the staff upon checkout and feel certain they would most likely fix for the next person staying there. That small incident took away from all the other 10 things they did right. It was still a nice stay and we enjoyed the local folks.

We stop in Wytheville 2-3 times a year during travel and were looking for a hotel option that didn’t feel like a truck stop along the interstate. Glad we gave The Bolling Wilson a chance. It’s a nice, historic building with small, but cozy and clean rooms that were perfect for our family of four. Beds were very comfortable, rooms were nicely appointed, parking was easy, and the area of the hotel was quiet. Breakfast was provided and was on par with a Hampton Inn, which is fine, that’s all we really need to get going in the morning. My only small complaint was that the blue light on the mini-split AC unit is incredibly bright and lights the whole room at night. Could not figure out if it was possible to turn off the light, next time I’ll use a post-it note to cover it up. Would recommend staying here, will be back.

Beautiful hotel. Room was hot and temputure was difficult to control. No grab bar in shower. Room dimly lit w no options. Pillows were large and all the same so they didn’t accommodate different people. Bread and pastries were what you could get at a gas station. This is a beautiful historic inn that should have had better amenities. Hampton inn does better.

Our underage son was rudely questioned about his service dog by a male manager. His questions could have been directed to the parents/adults, or at least done with more couth and compassion. The air-conditioning in the room was not working properly. Someone came to the room to adjust, but then directed us to not to adjust again so we just need to keep the temperature it is. We choose this hotel not because it has lux amenities, but because of the customer service, friendliness and welcoming feeling it offers. That was more than lacking during this visit. The

It took awhile to check in as both clerks were trying to check a young man in. Finally one looked at me and asked did I want to check in. Yes. Then she couldn’t seem to get my reservation until the other person helped. I haven’t mentioned names but some training might help.

This was an amazing property! A unique rooftop terrace with views of the town and hills of the area. Great location on main downtown street, walkable to shops and restaurants. Lovely lobby and restaurant area. Restaurant food was delicious and drinks on the front porch were relaxing and fun with great evening lighting around the property.

Our car broke down on our way home from Florida and we were "stuck" in this town. No rental cars available for 4 days. To our surprise, this hotel was fabulous as well as the Log Cabin resturant, antique malls, farmers market and coffee shop (all in walking range). We had to wait for our son to come 6 hours and get us the next day. They let us stay an hour after check out until he got there. We live in Ohio and our car is supposed to be ready next week and we will be staying at this hotel again if it is available.

Loved staying at The Bolling Wilson Hotel. It's quaint, right downtown so you can walk to anything - restaurants, shops, etc. We ate dinner one night and it was delicious. Staff is super friendly and very helpful. Room was spacious, clean and love having a refrigerator in room. Best of all is the roof top bar. We sat there both nights we stayed and loved the views!

Everything was good until it was time for Sunday morning coffee and breakfast. The coffee was an hour late and they never cooked any food for anyone and they just threw out some week old danishes. Really disappointed.

The in-town and historic nature of the property is what we like. The service is great, the staff very friendly and accommodating. The only negative is that the breakfast is ordinary, what you would find at other three star chain hotels, had hoped it would be better considering it has an on site restaurant. (which is good for dinner)

This boutique hotel is charming and well appointed. The room itself had a lot of character and the beds were comfortable. Everything was clean. We canceled a reservation at a different hotel and decided to book here after having dinner at the same hotel restaurant the week before. There were some disappointments, including having to wait about 10 minutes at the check-in desk for the employee to return, presumably, from some kind of break. It was unfortunate that there was no coverage by a teammate. Then when we went to the restaurant , we were provided with a limited Sunday menu, even though it was Saturday . The explanation was that they were shortstaffed, and were not able to prepare all of the items on the menu. I get it, everyone is dealing with staffing issues, but since the restaurant was part of the draw of why we returned, It was disappointing. Then, we had breakfast the next morning, which was one of the other major, draws after it was described as a quite hearty buffet by one of the servers in the restaurant. it was very limited, about what I expect at any mid-level motel. I will allow that it could’ve just been an off weekend due to staffing issues but I hope it gets resolved soon. There is an interesting history to the hotel and on their best day the restaurant is excellent.

Overall, this was a very wonderful stay. The staff were excellent and super helpful. Onsight, the Graze on Main, and the Perch had excellent service, and the food was delicious! Recommend all the shareables. Easy walkable distance to great little shops, additional dining, parks, and museums. Don't forget to try Skeeter's famous dogs, right across the street! Such a piece of history! Recommended if coming to Wytheville, this is the place to stay!
