This property is located in a largely residential area, with that in mind, The settlement was a fantastic property offering quality rooms in a location very close to a family gathering we were having. The bistro attached to the hotel was lovely, meals were value for money and even has a kods play area. The breakfast is a lovely edition to start your day off with something not to heavy.

Very impressed with the Service on arrival from Helen C. Easy parking with lots of choices. Rooms are very spacious and clean. The Bistro was well presented with welcome smiles, a vast Menu , quick service of tasty meals. The Cafe / Bar is a terrific area to sit quietly and enjoy the log fire and chat. VERY RELAXING.. 'Will return and highly recommend the Accomodation and Facilities

Stayed one night. Room super clean, loved decor, bed was comfortable and we had a peaceful sleep. Location is great, 5 mins walk and you also get food. A few minutes drive and you get much more food, the Botanical Gardens and Cranbourne shopping centre. Continental breakfast was complimentary and they had a variety of spreads. Generous breakfast. We had lunch and dinner in the hotel bistro. Food was delicious, great choice , great service. The manager is such a humble and friendly man. He goes around and sees to it that everyone is happy and satisfied. He even helps to bring the food to the table, that's so sweet. Will be back.

Great hotel with restaurant and cafe for catching up with family. Large spacious rooms that were clean. Our only feedback for the hotel is: 1: provide a top sheet on the beds, it is very annoying trying to sleep without a top sheet. 2: do not have music blaring in the cafe area in the mornings when people are trying to have breakfast - it is NOT a time for disco. There is no need for any music, the tv to watch the news would have been adequate. We had to ask each morning a particular staff member was on to turn the music down as it was way too loud - we even had to talk extremely loud to her so that she could hear us over the music!

Friendly and efficient staff. Included continental breakfast was simple but did the job, and included a lovely espresso coffee made by staff. Shower over tub and it needed a mould treatment in the silicon seals, but hey so does my bathroom at home... Good location if you have a car, not sure on PT options though.

Very pleasant old worldly rooms and the other hotel facilities (Bistro and Bar) were good. Parking acceptable. Accommodation was quiet although the hotel is close to a major very busy airport. Overall ambience was nice. On the slightly negative side was the $100 bond required on check-in and the fact that rooms are not serviced at the weekend. Finally the complementary breakfast was very very basic, but was of course 'complementary' so I guess I should not complain.

Spent 4 nights there while visiting family nearby. Great spacious room. Clean large bathroom. The bed and pillows were super comfy and my husband and I had some of the best nights sleep we've had in a long time. A microwave should be standard, not a luxury and was disappointed not to have one in such a spacious room. They have room service but one shouldn't feel they have to order because they cant heat up a cheap frozen meal from the supermarket. No knives and forks and no plates either. If you staying 1 night it wouldn't be an issue but we stayed four nights and for that reason alone we will not stay there next time as we really found it very inconvenient.

Lovely lady at reception with great service. Room is very dated. Shocking bed that creaked when I moved. Paper thin walls and kept awake most of the night by person next coughing/gagging.

The place feels like you’ve stepped back in time to the 1980s. Everything is dated. The bed in room 23 was awful and made for an uncomfortable sleep. Ok in terms of value.

The bed is an original steel spring mattress base which sank and I woke with sciatica. Had to crawl under the bed to reach a power point, on both sides. Please provide a plugged in power board so guests don't have to get on their knees to reach a point to charge phones, etc.

I had a really trouble-free stay here. The only thing I would change is that I often don't finish work in time to get to the bistro by 8:30pm, but I understand that staff want to get home. Apart from that, the food was good, all the staff were lovely and the coffee in the mornings was absolutely world-class. I will probably stay there again, next time I'm in Melbourne for work.
