Repair and extension work going on. Pool was being used for building materials storage. Not happy.

This is a renovation gone bad. The place should be torn down and rebuilt. I could hear other guests 2 doors down and across the hall. The laminate floor seems to have been placed directly over old carpet and is separating. Water pressure. in shower was low and surged. No elevator. The place is as clean as it can be. The staff were fine. Its an old run down property with a poorly done lipstick renovation. It was well overpriced.

The property is under a much needed renovation. Low quality finish in current rooms. Strong odor of mold in the whole building. Pool and sauna are closed. Very challenging layout for elderly and disabled. Limited hours in the dining room. Waited 15 minutes to be acknowledged in the dining room, left and went elsewhere. There are gambling machines near the lobby. Staff are very nice.

On paper, this motel looked like an ideal motorcycle tour motel. However, the restaurant was closed. The pool was closed. There seemed to be few safe places to park a motorcycle with the condition of the parking lot, and there appeared to be some renovations going on. Staff were helpful in directing us to the River Pub restaurant, which was within walking distance, and was lovely.

Place is undergoing renovations and rooms are rented out not finished. Pool and ice machine broken and hallway carpet filthy.

Older Hotel undergoing renovations. Beds would gave been a better place tobstart with. They were ok, a little hard and uncomfortable to us. Floating floor needs to be replaced as there are separations. Pool was out of service due to renos in the pool area. Outside upgrades were looking good.

Smelled, dirty. Went to room which was suppose to be in new section and it was a dirty room at the front. It was a filthy flop hour Desk Kirk was dishonest about hotel Pool has been under construction for 5 years but posted a picture of a beautiful poll . Refund my money. We did not stay at this dump

The beds were uncomfortable. There was no good parking area. The ice machine was broken and the vending machine was out of order as well.

Very dated hotel, ice machine didn't work but staff was very kind to offer getting some from their kitchen. Location was very good as walking distance to grocery stores and fast food restaurants. Parking not as convenient but definitely enough spaces. Good enough for what I pay for.

We were disappointed to see that the price on Expedia wasn’t the price we were charged. Of course it was more money. The front desk agent told us that we hadn’t paid tax, so added tax to the price Expedia had said. Eventually realised their mistake and returned the money, but it was either a mistake or a scam- either way, I wasn’t impressed. That said, the manager was very helpful. Things like the pool were closed - in fact the pool was empty. This is more a motel than a hotel.

Clean and quiet.

The room was disgusting. Bathroom floor full of urine and stunk. Room smelled musty and if urine. Was booked for a week and only stayed one night. Tried to get refund but was not happy they made me pay another night for it was less than 24 hours. Never stay there again…not recommended

This hotel was terrible. When we arrived the hallway and stairs were filthy and looked like they had never seen a vacuum in their life. The room itself had a smell about it. The baseboard and walls were filthy. There was marks in the walls and holes where things had been screwed in and never patched. The bed was beyond uncomfortable and had only two pillows and one blanket. One of the chairs at the desk was broken and the back had no wood in it. We went to look at the pool and discovered paper tacked up covering the windows to cover up an empty pool with tiles torn down everywhere. There was no mention of this at any time. We had no other option for the night but we could not wait to get up and get out of that place. Would never return.

The hotel smells of terrible cigarette smoke cover up by a lot of different air fresheners

I booked the property according to the photos on the site. Before entering the room, the hallways smelled of smoke and the carpets were never cleaned beyond just a vacuum. The pool was closed down with just some white paper at the windows. The room i was given was right at the very end of this long hallway and the key wasn’t the right one so walked all the way back and got the right key. Getting into the room, the bathroom floors looked grimy as though it wasn’t cleaned properly between stays. I brought and used my own towels and then thinking, I just needed a little towel to dry my hands, the face towel i picked up had a bug in it! I go camping and I’m used to bugs, but in my supposedly clean face towel is still gross. I was hoping to use the washer/dryer but they have one set for the entire building. Honestly, i wish i just camped out, it’s literally cleaner and cheaper. They said they’ll look into a refund but let’s see if they actually do.

Room was dirty. Shower did not drain and toilet paper stuck to the wall from previous guest not washed. Spilled sticky coffee still on the table. Daily paper promised was from December we are in march. Vending machines not working properly. And very hard to get someone at the service desk. Even during early hours. Spend the extra few dollars for a different hotel.

The hotel is run down and needs a lot of TLC. I was greeted by a greasy blond hair as I entered my room and a dead bug on the floor. I removed the blankets to see hairs and crumbs on the sheets so the room was not cleaned well. Asked for another room and got the same result. Needless to say I slept in my clothes on top of the bed

Asked for a renovated room but if that was renovated wouldn’t have wanted to see the other rooms. There was mold on the walls and baseboards and the baseboards were very dirty the bedskirts were all black . The halls were dirty and had a foul smell. Never again!

The facility was old, and the hallway had an unpleasant smell. The chairs in the room were dirty, and some garbage had been left behind. However, the bedsheets and towels were clean, and the front desk staff was helpful. Overall, the experience could have been better.

The hotel looked questionable...the hallway looked stained and dim, but tge room was clean and tge bed and pillows were good.

The property, lobby & hallways are very dark, dismal & depressing. Not a good 1st impression. Room was very clean & in pretty good condition, was recently renovated, but could use some fine tuning & touch ups that would give better reviews - like curtains/curtain rod & bathroom trim. Good amenities with a desk & table. A/C takes a bit to kick in. but then works ok. Unfortunately there is no place to relax in the room.. beds are low quality & uncomfortable, bed linens & pillows are sparce,just sheets & a thin blanket & 2 flat pillows, chairs are old & hard.

the beds and pillows where very comfy - room clean - owner very considerate- good nights sleep

Bathroom is tiny........one electrical outlet for coffee maker, TV, fridge, and microwave /pretty crowded. Only just a little toilet paper

The noise from the street and surrounding rooms was not conducive to a restful nights sleep.

The room was clean and warm. The bed linens were particularly nice and soft. The bathroom was missing facecloths. Overall very adequate for a budget price.

This is a very old hotel. There are no elevators. It is in rather poor shape but has a lot of character. The beds were comfortable. There are few electric outlets for charging phones computers etc. One of the lowest prices available and is adequate for a one night stay while traveling. The shower worked well and bathroom was clean.

We asked for missing items in our room. Was advised housekeeping would be up and they never arrived. The bathroom is old and moldy. Beds were clean as was the overall room. Floors were in disrepair with chips off the click flooring. Not very appealing accomodations.

Terrible attitude from the staff at this location. Calling it a dump would be unfair to other dumps. Dirty, overpriced, unsafe, bathing products were non-existent!!! AVOID THIS PROPERTY!

After an 8 days stay at this hotel whiling awaiting an Apt the front desk girl entered our room on day 9 unannounced demanding that my daughter call me at work to pay for another day after I was contacted she was informed that I would pay when I got back , she left the room went back to her desk and withdrew an unauthorized payment from my account very rude absolutely unacceptable

The staff ex specially deep was amazing very friendly and assisted with helping change my days of stay without hassle. Advised all amenities and their dining room.that were available during our stay

We called to let them know of our late arrival . When we came in had to wait 20. Minutes for someone to check us in. That took another 20 for him to figure out how to check us in. The room smelled musty and had black mold in bathroom. When they come to clean room all he does is spray fabreez to hide smell. He then wants to have a conversation about his son going to school there. The service was so bad along with the shabby rooms. We asked about the pool that is advertised and it is not working. They also chat on phone having non business conversations and make you wait. They have no ice in machine so have to wait again to ask them for some. It was so bad that I wanted to leave a day early and would not change original stay so had to pay for a day I was not there. I will never go back to that place. My score is -5.

Door key failed to work, had to wait till 8 AM from 7 AM to get someone to open the door to my room. There is no one at the front desk during the night until 8 AM.

Friendly and efficient staff.

The property is being renovated, so parking was limited, our room did have new windows, but more needs to be done, but will be a nice place and convenient location when done!

Parking too close to the street and the smell was not very pleasant coming from the garbage bin.

It was reasonably priced and convenient for visiting the Louisbourg fortress site. It was old and needing updating.

Didn't even get out of the car. Not as advertised. The hotel was under heavy construction leaving very little parking for hotel users. What was left was to tight and small. The entire building looked bad and the area unsafe. This is an example of a place that when the room renter shows up the room should be refunded fully. Youi can only cancel your booking a couple of days prior and still have to pay a fee. This hotel should be removed from your data base for sure. In circumstances like this a total refund should be offered

It's hard to explain. I felt super uncomfortable just as I drove in. I was traveling solo (53 yo F). The exterior is kind of run down. It's at the end of a dead end street behind a bunch of strip mall kinds of places. The staff member I spoke with was very attentive and kind. The halls and the room smelled funny. There was a man in a room just off the lobby sitting in front of a giant screen that looked like he was playing video games and every time I walked by he stared at me. The room seemed clean - there was some staining on the bathroom fixtures, but I admit I didn't get close enough to see if it was just water stains or something else. They advertise the pool/hot tub, but the one area I saw looked out of service (like 3/4 empty with brackish water). I went out to the car at one point and saw a window a few doors down from mine with a brown swath of something smeared - I don't know if it was on the back of the curtain or the inside of the window. (I didn't get that close. I'm a nurse and all I could think of was an old blood smear...) I was so uncomfortable I left even though they charged me for the late cancellation. Found a chain motel nearby for the same price that was much more comfortable.

Quiet. Short distance from restaurants.

It was alright for the kids and close to the big X. Also walking distance to every thing else

The staff at this hotel are very helpful and friendly. We were impressed that our room contained a mini fridge, large flat screen tv, and microwave. The room was very well sound proofed, and the beds are comfortable. The hotel is getting an upgrade, which we're sure will give it a nice facelift. Also, it is within walking distance of a number of fast-food outlets and a mini mall, plus there is a restaurant on-site, so there are plenty of dining options. We will stay there again!

Uncaring owner/fam/staff. Small lobby, dining room not open ever. Their noisy child occupying the two small lobby and seating. The most prominence and only Care being given to an entire room of gambling machines, prominently placed in the front of the public area. Owner yelled at me down the entire second floor hallway when leaving the next morning to “leave my door open!“ His wife, on the front desk, never smiled once during the four separate inquiries I made of her during our stay. I cannot think of how another choice of accommodation could be worse than this one.

Breakfast was not free but we were given a 10 percent discount. We decided not to stay after a coffee but the staff didn't want to charge us for the coffee. Very nice of them!

Motel is very dated, price reflects this. There is a fantastic little restaurant that made the stay much better. Staff friendly and accommodating.

They have an awesome breakfast and are reasonable. Sadly the room we were given had not been cleaned. We were quickly given another room.

Breakfast was good service was quick. Manager was guick to respond to my room to try and fix the tv.howevrr they are installing anew system with Bell and were having major problems. Very apologetic. Basic room for the price. Apparently they are working on updates.

We stay two times a year and Love the breakfast options

Friendly staff, dated but clean rooms, food was great, convenient parking spaces. Food, shopping, booze, coffee etc all within a one block radius.
