This hotel has an excellent view of the lake and is across the street from the waterfront. It’s about a 15 minute walk to the Chapel Bridge. Our stay was a bit rainy but the hotel had umbrellas that we could borrow. We got a wonderful dinner recommendation from the front desk. Our room was clean, lovely and spacious. The hotel itself is stylish and charming. There is art everywhere—which is a nice touch. The only drawback was that parking was a little inconvenient (difficult when it is pouring rain) but other than that our stay was great. The real strength of the property was its very friendly and accommodating staff. We would stay here again if we return to Lucerne.

Great location. Very convenient to all tourists site. Plus there is a beautiful park and boardwalk across from the hotel with amazing views. The hotel is very old, however the staff do a great job to ensure guests are taken care of. Plus the two bedroom option comes with 2.5 baths. Only one negative is the portable AC unit, but that’s not that much of an issue.

Really lovely property near the lake, a short walk from the centre which we enjoyed each day as you walk by the lake with beautiful views. The air con was a mobile unit on the floor and was noisy so we did have to switch it off during the night.

Bon hôtel pour une nuit à Lucerne, sans payer les prix lucernois exorbitants. La chambre est petite mais fonctionnelle, avec de petites attentions bien pensées et des bons produits de toilette. Cependant l'isolation est mauvaise et les locaux sont un peu bruyants et enclins à l'humidité. Je n'ai pas trouvé non plus le matelas très confortable mais il s'agit d'une opinion personnelle. La propreté était bonne, à l'exception d'un cheveux retrouvé dans la douche et cette dernière gagnerait d'ailleurs à avoir une paroi et une porte plutôt qu'un rideau. Le petit déjeuner était bien servi et joliment dressé, avec des produits locaux et variés. Le personnel est très avenant et souriant.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights during our Swiss vacation. This was her favorite hotel of the five we stayed in. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable, the staff was very friendly, and the breakfast was delicious. It was easy to get to other parts of Lucerne, by going for a nice walk or hopping on the city bus (free for guests) for a few minutes.

Elegant yet homey lakeside hotel. This hotel is in a fantastic location, within easy walking distance or a quick bus ride to old town Lucerne. Our room had fantastic views of Lake Lucerne, and the two-room suite provided ample space for our family.

The hotel offers a beautiful view of the lake and is within walking distance of everything. I love the location. However, the hotel itself is outdated, with squeaky floors at every step. The shower is located outside the room, in a separate space across the hallway. They do provide a robe, which is convenient.

Very charming hotel and room. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was a little cramped. The bathroom door would not shut tight. The hallway, stairs and room floor creeped pretty bad. We are early risers and I couldn’t walk quietly, no matter how hard I tried.

Absolutely phenomenal stay from the moment of check-in. The blonde woman was so kind, courteous and welcoming. She wanted to ensure our room was ready, sat us down with a cappuccino and took our bags to our room. It was absolutely a wonderful welcome. The rooms were nice size with balcony, gorgeous lake views and sitting area and generous size bathroom and the beds were SO COMFORTABLE!!!! We wish we could have stayed for a week!

She wanted to ensure our room was ready, sat us down with a cappuccino and took our bags to our room. It was absolutely a wonderful welcome. The rooms were nice size with balcony, gorgeous lake views and sitting area and generous size bathroom and the beds were SO COMFORTABLE!!!! We wish we could have stayed for a week!

Nice boutique hotel across the street from the lake. Lake-view rooms were an adequate size, clean and comfortable. It was worth paying-up for the view. Hotel is older and the floors squeaked and creaked, but we were on the top floor so didn't have to listen to people walking above us. Service was adequate and friendly. Breakfast was good and pretty standard. The location of this hotel is the best part. About a ten minute walk along the lake to the main tourist area or a five minute free bus ride to/from the bahnhof from right outside the hotel. My only complaint is that smoking is allowed on the balcony. I paid extra for the balcony and want to be able to use it or even just open the window without smelling smoke.

Gorgeous hotel close to the centre. Clean, hot shower and lovely room with a view of the lake. Could not have asked for better service, especially Victoria who was so generous with both her time and knowledge. Recommendations were excellent! Would definitely recommend and hope to return.

The hotel manager and front desk team were incredibly kind and helpful. The hotel is beautifully located right in front of a stunning lake and majestic mountains. I accidentally left my computer in an Uber, and the hotel manager and team went above and beyond to help me recover it. I truly appreciated their patience, support, and warm hospitality. I feel so lucky to have stayed at this beautiful hotel, and I will definitely choose it again when I return to visit Lucerne.

My wife and I loved our stay. The staff were so friendly, helpful, and went out of their way to make our stay that much better. The location is fantastic with a wonderful view of the lake and a short, beautiful 10-minute walk to downtown. We would highly recommend this hotel!

The entire hotel staff was very kind, cheery and helpful. We were without our luggage, they provided us with essential items, opened the kitchen for us to get a meal and always provided tips for getting around the city. A special shout out to Moritz, he was so helpful, kind and welcoming. Would give the hotel 10 stars if it were a choice!!!

At first I was concerned as there was about 15-18 min from center of town, but what a beautiful walk along the promenade, and if you decided to take the bus, it was only 1/4 block from hotel and ran every couple minutes. The room we had with lake view was a very spacious and very clean and comfortable. The people at front desk were very accommodating and breakfast was wonderful.

Phenomenal place for the best view of lake and all that Lucerne has to offer ! Quick walk to train station ( or hop on the bus ) and ferry . Excellent restaurants and shopping . Best part is the view from hotel lobby area . Staff was very friendly and helped us to get guest pass and all information about area to enjoy . Highly recommend

Amazing 150 year old boutique hotel! The lakefront location was great and right along the bus line. The service was outstanding! The only downside is the rooms are small, but understandable considering the age of the property.

Candidly this hotel worked out. Pricey for a basic hotel. Staff was great and rooms very clean. Location was spectacular. Easy 1 mile walk to old town, beautiful to walk across the street to a Lakefront. Bus stop 500 ft away if needed

Such a cute property! It was close enough to the old town to walk but there was no noise. And right across the street from a beautiful park. The staff was very helpful and so nice! Loved our stay.

Convenient location punctuated by the complimentary local transportation pass - a great way to see more of the city. Multi-lingual reception staff very attentive and helpful. Breakfast was perhaps a little limited unless you are a fan of granola. Luzern offers so much to see and do - highly recommended.

This property is in a fantastic location with beautiful views. The staff is extremely friendly and very patient with questions about the area and transportation. Breakfast includes outside seating with a soft breeze and views of the water. It was a truly wonderful stay. Many of my colleagues stayed there as well and were very pleased. I hope to go back on a personal trip someday with my husband.

No staff after 11pm, breakfast is just a small selection of breads, cereals, cheese and fruit, no hot options, no menu. Old building, so lovely to see, but not very comfortable as a result. Pretty basic offering. Staff were very pleasant and welcoming though.

Staff was extremely friendly. Decor was fun and artistic and the old building is full of charm. Lots of fun touches like the sock monkey mascot and free chocolate bar in the room made it unique. Breakfast buffet is fantastic. Only drawbacks wee creaky floors (to be expected) and very tiny elevator, but many old places have no elevator, so we can’t complain!

Pillows were uncomfortable, way too soft/flat. Breakfast was basic & inconsistent. Shower curtain stuck to your body while trying to shower. We had to leave after one night due to personal concern. They would not refund even part of our money. We paid for 3 nights.

The hotel was so cute and nice with beautiful view from the breakfast room and beautiful art decor. We had a 2 bedroom suite so the it was spacious and we love it. The elevator was unique and small. The only complain is the pillows, they are too soft, so we have to sleep with 2 pillows. We tried the breakfast once but the portion was too small so we skipped it for the rest of our stay.

Arrived to hotel check in was fine arrived in room it was clean and nice but warm in the room found the the A/C wasn’t working and asked them to check into it said they would they never did would not have been an issue if it wasn’t 31 degrees Celsius at the time also asked them to refill the cream rinse in the shower never happened

A wonderful hotel full of marvellous character. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the location is perfect for enjoying the lake, especially for a refreshing morning swim. It’s also just a short walk into town, making it easy to explore and soak up the fantastic history. A truly memorable stay!

We loved our stay here. This is quite an old hotel and some of the decor was somewhat dated. There is an ongoing refurbishment. However, the bedrooms and bathrooms are well equipped and comfortable. The dining and sitting areas are lovely and have a slightly old world charm. Our bedroom had windows and a balcony overlooking Lake Lucerne which was beautiful. All staff are friendly, attentive and really helpful. Breakfast buffet was good. The location of hotel was also great. There are terraces for eating and drinks outside overlooking the lake. Also just a few steps across the road to sit by or swim in the lake. Transport links excellent, close by front door but also a very pleasant walk into the centre, waterfront or station.

The bad: through hotels.com it was not disclosed that the air conditioned room we booked actually had a **portable unit**, which made the noise of a loud laundry machine and woke us up several times a night, every night. The ugly: we had a bug in our bed.
