No attached parking. There’s a ramp across the street but it was $62 a night during time of visit. 3/22/2025. Very tight temporary loading area. We had a group of 14 (6 children) so we had a lot of luggage but there were no carts or dolly available so we had to make several trips from the lobby up and down to our rooms. Description online was misleading— saying there was breakfast but it’s actually $11 per person, not complimentary. No microwaves in room. Pillows on bed were very small. No blackout curtains so we can see light shining from the large windows from the building across from us (about 30 feet) even with the blinds pulled down.

My stay was lovely. Couldn’t ask for a better trip. The staff was very courteous besides one lady who was there for the breakfast line but other than that it was fantastic!!! Would definitely stay again

The location was perfect, it was very clean and comfortable. Did have trouble with the bathroom door staying closed even after trying to lock it. The pool room was a little chilly, but overall was a great place.

Excellent staff. Solid property. The elevator situation needs to be looked at. They have three elevators and one has been down for two weeks. Staff and service crew are using the other two elevators and the wait times can become extremely long.

I was there for 2 days and elevator broke down 3 times. Fryer in restaurant was broken limiting menu. Walls very thin, so I got to listen to a crying baby for 2 days. Doors also sweaky. Carpets on floors are frayed by elevators. Needed to leave earlier and manager refused to waive last night, but also did not come out of the office to speak with me instead used an employee as a go between. As a past GM, I know policy could be waived and the room could have been resold as it was lollapalooza and an employee informed me that they were sold out.

Biggest gripe is that the parking is down the street, and $62 per night! That really needs to be up front. The pool is indoor on the second floor with a max capacity of 25 but theres no place for their "pet friendly" guests to do their business. Their suggestion was to take a walk and find some gravel. Even airports have potty zones.

I was very pleased with the location and price first & foremost. The hotel was beautifully taken care of and the room was very spacious of my family of 5. The only minor drawbacks is the pool is small (10 ppl max) can enjoy it comfortably. And avoid parking in the open parking areas!!! They will charge $50+ vs going thru iparkit app and save 50% and best part is you can locate, reserve & prepay parking all around the city. BEST KEPT SECRET!!!!

The bathroom in our hotel room was dingy/dirty. There was 'hair' stuck to the ceiling from a past guest as well a hand towel. The ceiling fan did not work unless there was not one which there should have been. There was also discoloration around the ceiling vent, it could have been water damage or mildew.

Room was very dirty to begin with , dirty floor and sheets and also had a strong smell of chlorine. The girls that checked me were nice but then the guy there when I came back was rude and not helpful at all said he could only downgrade my room if I wanted to change. Only good experience was the check in , everything else made me regret staying here . Will not be returning at all . Don’t recommend staying here

The hotel and room was clean. The room was very small, and dark with a view on the wall of the next building. We understand that it was a prime weekend but selling hotel room this small at this price is very disheartening. We have been in Chicago downtown area very often, and this was by far the most expensive we ever pay and we never had such a small dark room. We felt taking advantage of. Disappointed

Hotel was wonderful. The room was modern, clean and VERY large. It was near subway stop, client, and restaurants. My only complaint is that the motor vehicle noise was loud even though I was on an upper floor.

All electric outlets were not working, and I lost files due to lack of power. Recharging batteries was not possible. It was a short stay and no time to fix anything. Room was not "ready" for the incoming guest. Otherwise, stay was perfect, and I will continue to visit Hyatt Place when in Chicago.

Hotel was good for my family’s visit to Chicago. The only issue we had was the room was very humid and quite warm the first 36 hours regardless of what we set thermostat at. Even the carpeting felt damp. By our last day/night it finally cooled off and became less muggy (it was in the 70s outside so not heat wave related).

Everything about the building was good, however, the check in was at 3 pm and my room wasn't ready by 6:00pm. In the end they couldn't give me the room i requested and ended up giving me 2 single rooms instead of a double and I had to sleep in a different room separated from my family. Even with all the inconvenience, they didn't even offer a compensation.

came in early morning and the staff on duty told us our room was ready (gave us a room key and all. when we proceeded to room, it still had guests in it. when we left for the day and came back around 1030 pm, our room was still not ready. super inconvenient & at that point could have driven home.

I have never been concerned about my safety in a hotel. There was a significant and long disturbance at 1:24am. I had my wife and son and the incident caused me to be concerned that people were entering rooms! I called the front desk 4 times and kept getting voicemail. Eventually I was able to contact the front desk but was so concerned I could not get back to sleep.

We’ve stayed here before and usually have a solid experience. The place is clean and the staff is great, but this visit was frustrating. We were here four nights. For three of those days the outlet bank that powers the refrigerator and coffee maker was out. Maintenance got it working once for a few hours, then it failed again overnight and our food was warm by morning. I reported it during the stay and again at checkout. No one offered a room change, a working mini fridge, or any gesture to make it right. We like this property and want to come back, but please fix the electrical on that side of the room and coach the team on service recovery. A simple fix, an alternative, or even a small credit would have gone a long way.

The room was average and fine for the night. Check-in took way too long, and I didn’t get into my room until after 3 PM. Breakfast also closed up way earlier than the posted time, which was disappointing. The best part is the location, which was really convenient.

Staff was incredible, such a seamless checkin and checkout. Great, safe location close enough to the riverwalk and plenty of coffee and quick grab food places nearby. Ate dinner at the bar and the food was great. Room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Overall I’d recommend to anyone.

Was a great location. We took the train in from Midway Airport and it was 2 blocks to the hotel. Easy walk to History museum, Art Institute, Water Tower, Grant Park, Al’s Italian Beef, Lou Malnati’s Pizza, and the River Walk where we did an excellent river and lake cruise.

Great walkable location. You have to park a ways away but I felt safe walking to and from my car. Close to Giordano’s and Willis Tower. The room was fine. Walls are pretty thin so I could hear the guests in the next room pretty easily. But overall, a good place to stay.

The good bits… - They serve Starbucks - You need a pass to activate the elevator (begs the question: is there an issue with non-guests using the pool, etc? See below) - Beds were comfy - Shower was good - Plenty of towels (& pool towels) The bad bits - Lots of hobos outside hotel and along nearby streets. - 3 hobos inside the hotel, asking staff for drinks!! 1 got in the elevator with me (yes, for real) 1 tried to get in the pool area (yup, for real). But he was unsuccessful. Because nobody would let him in. - Stupid guests activate the elevator for others. (Ie., the above non-residents!) - This place has security issues! - There is only a ‘no parking zone’ for drop off/check in/check out, etc. There is a fire hydrant right on the curb! - Don’t pay the hotel for their parking. Get the iparkit app. The app costs nothing. - I paid $80 for 3.5 days, With in / out privileges. - The hotel wanted $200 (also with the same privileges). Tut tut. Greed? Things to note: This hotel is about 20-40 min walk from the fun, activities, etc. (Check with google maps so you are fully informed) We enjoyed the morning stroll. However, after 12 hours of town life, our feet were throbbing (knowing we still had 30 mins walk to the hotel) Lots of affiliate programs offer free breakfast. Check out before you book. We were asked for $11 each. We declined. There are some great/amazing places for brekkie. (See my other reviews) Weekends are really quiet. Closed places all around

I always love Hyatt. We chose this hotel because it was me and my two teenage kids. We all had our own bed, including sofa bed. Plenty of room, refrigerator, clean, friendly. We had never been to Chicago, so I think I would have stayed in Magnificent Mile now that I know where things are. Hyatt Place in the Loop is in the financial district and a lot of things are closed on the weekend, and early during the week, as far as restaurants etc. That being said, this is still a great hotel and reasonable priced. The food options at the hotel are meh, but still overall with all the options off property, the location is walkable to most things and we had a great time!

We have stayed here before and loved it this time we asked for bedding for the pull out and they were running low, if u do need it ask earlythey told us its first come first serve. This is the first time i have ever had to ask most hotels we stay in have extra bedding for pull outs in the room. Breakfast was a bad experience this time, they ran out of mny things and closed early.

continental breakfast was not very good....most of things not replenished and long lines were not moving fast. showed signs of a wide variety of choices to eat but most were empty and we got there to eat 1.5 hours after breakfast was served. very disapointing
