Carlin's Cottage Court

Everything was lovely. Should probably warn people about the size of the parking lot. Thankfully we bought my car. Had we brought my husband’s truck, or anything bigger than a compact car. We would not have fit in the parking spaces.

Our cottage was very clean. The big hot tub in room was fantastic. Bed was very comfortable. With real clean bedding . We had ample towels. Because there was no daily housecleaning. And no room service between 9pm & 9am. Our particular cottage did not have much lounge area, small table with two wooden chairs. My wife and I had a little trouble getting in and out of the raised hot tub, kind of dangerous for elderly /disabled . But the hot tub overwhelmed any negatives. We enjoyed our 3 nights .

Great vibe! Great location! SOOOO CUTE! Very clean. Vintage feel. I do wish that it had a full length mirror somewhere in our room. And that the pool was open longer hours. But that being said I still highly recommend this little place. :)

The hot spring hot tub was super relaxing the the staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Great place to stay with jetted tub with mineral water in your cottage, ready to use anytime you want. Relaxing property in a few minutes of walking to the main street, still quiet giving feeling of being in rural area.

Perfect for 3, bathroom and kitchen need updating ( crack in sink, old flooring). Pool and hot tub were clean and an AMAZING temperature. No clean sponge provided for washing dishes, and a bowl was found in the cupboard completely soiled. Overall though, I would stay there again.

Stayed 5 nights, no room service. Had to take out trash myself and go fetch fresh towels and coffee from reception. Pool opens at 9 a.m., had to wait for it to open. Parking is assigned, one car space per room.

We stayed in the Junior suite with a kitchen and sofa which was nice and roomy for the two of us. The mineral pool and hot tub are great and were close to our room. Short walk or drive to the Main Street. Plenty of towels were supplied and the room heater was quite warm.

The Jacuzzi didn’t work WIFI is weak in room

Check-in was easy and the room was clean. The kitchen could use updating and the quality of the complementary coffee is poor. I know that sounds whiny, but there’s better coffee around than that. The walls are thin and we could hear the guests next door. The pool is very nice. All in all, a decent stay for a lower price point than other places closer to town.

Very very clean. Hospitality wonderful. Love the facilities. So quiet close to everything. Having our own in room personal jacuzzi was wonderful! Everything so clean!

We loved it so much. Very cute and beautiful hotel, nice and friendly hotel personnel. Comfortable, clean and very nice place, quiet and safe. The hotel gave us free tickets for the shuttle, too. Close to stores and restaurants. Will definitely come back.

There were ants around the coffee station 😒 but other than that everything else room, bed, jetted tub wete great!

I expected more for $325 per night. I realize it is “harvest season” however harvest is delayed until probably the end of October! Places just off the Main Street are the same price you just need to book sooner than I did. We had mild on our shower curtain and the water smelled like dirt/mold. The refrigerator stunk terribly. We had a full size coffee maker with single serve packed coffee. How does that make sense?? One garbage bag in the bathroom and no where else. Spend a little more and stay somewhere else!!

Older property but very clean and safe. Unfortunately, they do not have central heating. Only a wall unit on the living room. We left the bedroom door open but was still cold in December.

The property is very nice looking. The room was nice but it was very dirty. When we entered there was hair everywhere. We had to wait in the car while they swept instead of vacuumed it. The glassware had food on and smudges on them and the shower groute had a lot of mold. Unfortunately we will not return. Cleanliness is a big deal for me.

A very relaxing getaway spot. Easy walk into town. The room was clean and spacious. The mineral pool was a real treat. We will definitely put this on our list to return to!!

The room was super cute, the bed was comfortable and the mineral soaking tub was amazing; however, I hardly got any sleep at all because the air conditioner barley put out any air, and kept auto shutting off every 10 minutes or so, waking me up. It was in the 100's while were were there, so that was pretty miserable. Also, there are no light darkening shades, so was woken up at 5:30 am with the sun. So, other than not really getting any sleep on our anniversary trip, everything else. was great!

The hotel is clean, and I really wanted to have a great experience. Unfortunately, it was very disappointing. We paid for a room with a jet bathtub, but the jets were not working. After checkout, I asked if we could briefly use the pool. Hotels nearby usually allow this, especially when the pool is empty. The man at the reception did not allow it and said, “It’s your checkout time, so you leave.” When I asked why and mentioned that other hotels do this, he responded, “Why do I care?” His behavior was rude, intense, and unprofessional. Extremely disappointed by the service and attitude, especially after a good start to the stay.

Nice vintage looking motel motor court a few streets back from Main St. It was basic accomodations but nice for a few nights. Ours had a kitchen, 2 full beds and a bathroom. Needs a bit of a refresh. One of the tiles in our bathroom was broken, shower was a tub shower combo with a shower curtain that just kept sticking to your body, since the tub was so small. Wall were thin so we could hear our next door neighbors very clearly. They were up late and early, not doing anything wrong, just having a good time but it was loud. I was there with a friend and we split the cost, otherwise it would have been way too expensive for a couple.

Matt and crew were so friendly and helpful! It was a perfect few days of relaxtion in a simple cozy spot. Reasonable & with everything we needed. Can't wait to come back.

Gina at the front desk was wonderful. She was friendly, courteous and so helpful. The cottages are comfortable and spacious. I liked the charm of the cottage design and little details. Close to downtown Calistoga and easy to walk all over.

What a pleasant surprise! The staff was friendly, helpful, and the room was clean and beautifully stocked with plenty of towels, comfortable linens. The pool was clean and spacious, and the chairs and tables were comfortable. I appreciated the little seating areas outside the cottages to relax. A quick and easy walk through sweet, local neighborhoods to the local grocery and all the shops you will want to see on Lincoln. I will be back to Carlin Cottages again for sure.

Sweet spot really close to Golden Haven spa. Walk back and forth to your treatment and you can use all of the pools at both places! The handmade essential oils for the jacuzzi are lovely and all staff were great. Dog friendly a huge plus, even though we didn't bring ours. We will be back!!

Please check extra fees. I was charged some extra fees by mistake and then I was credited. If you use a credit card they charge 3.5% it isn’t listed at all on Hotels.com. When you get there they have a sign that States you have to pay 3.5% when you check in . ** So, even though my reservation through Hotels.com said that I only was supposed to pay $713 they charged me about 5%!! I noticed the mistake and I told them, and they gave me a partial refund for the 1.5% but still charged me 3.5% for using my card! I was given the option to pay cash and they would reverse the credit card fee, but the closest bank is 15 miles away in St Helena and closed on most of the weekend. I try to be civil and told the owner that I could send them a check when I got home and they could just credit the credit card for the mistake and she said it was too late that the reservation was already closed. If I would’ve known that they were going to charge a fee for using a credit card I would’ve taken more cash from home but it’s not noted anywhere in Hotels.com. Not fair and they didn’t really care. I have an autistic son with a small therapy dog and they had even said about a dog fee. Very sketchy money hungry.
