Ocean Sands at York Beach

Room had 2 queen sized beds. Microwave and Fridge. We went first weekend in October, they just did a ground cleaning in the building, everything was super clean. Friendly check in, fast check out. Across the street from the ocean

Room was spacious and accommodated our group perfectly for our girls weekend away. Great view of York beach from our balcony. However, there was no staff on site all weekend. I was notified that the office would be closing at 3 on Friday, and how to access our room keys, but this message didn't state that the office would be closed all weekend. We also had issues with one of the TVs in the room and couldn't get in touch with anyone to resolve the issue.

Room was clean and comfy. Parking lot was all ice like a hockey rink. Not sure how no one had fallen and gotten hurt. We had to go buy rock salt just to get back and forth to the car.

Never saw anyone from motel. Tv did not work the fiirst night. Beds were soft. Parking lot was an icy mess. They fixed tv for the second night. Will not recommend.

Office closes at 3pm was notified by message. This seems unusually early but it’s fine. but the phone number supplied for assistance went straight to the voice mail. Every time. This is not acceptable. There was someone who booked for two nights at this motel who appeared quite very distressed. Apparently when she tried returning to her room on the second day and found out her key was deactivated. She tried to get a hold of someone out in the cold vehicle for a while and saw me walking in and asked for help. I tried contacting the phone and Expedia and finally somebody messaged on Expedia messaging platform, I needed some supplies but I decided to go without trying to ask for help. Two stars because the room was clean. I will not return
