It was a huge advantage to have access to the area shuttle whenever we needed it. The Holiday Inn area shuttle allowed us to be driven to and picked up at Mon Health whenever we needed it. Since I needed surgery, I never had to worry about driving because of the shuttle. The shuttle is free, so it also saves on the high cost of taxis. It truly sets this hotel apart from other similar hotels in the area. It was the main reason I chose this hotel.

The staff was friendly and welcoming. Our room was very clean, large and well made. Beds and pillows were comfy. Bathroom was a good size. Good location to get around. The patio needs updating (weeds and old/dated furniture). Also the TV's had bad reception which was annoying. I loved how other hotels in the area allowed you to enter your Netflix passwords - that would be a great perk.

The room was clean and beds were comfortable. I totally hate the $25 charge for no good reason…. Additional needs or charges should be taken care of at check out. Not even sure what a guest would have an extra charge for. No room service, no video rentals, no laundry service. Also, the rooms have No black out curtains ( so I was up at daylight) and No charging outlets for phones.

At first everything was fine however, the most important part for a motel is the mattress, the King size mattress was the worst Uve ever slept on in my 50 years of traveling. My wife could not sleep on the right side of the mattress so we changed sides. At 4.00 AM my lower back was killing me. I stayed the rest of the night on the floor. My wife woke up had back issues as well. Even though everything else was fine the mattress ruined the rest of my trip driving back home with a bad back. I told the clerk when I checked out that the mattress was bad in Room 300. He told me he would check it out. Did not offfer any type of refund which WAS expected. I will never go back there again.

Gentleman checking in was not friendly, asked if we could get a room close to my sister. Checked it and never said another word so I had to assume it was. My daughter also said he kept giving us "weird dirty looks" when we were in walking through lobby later. Pool was way over crowded, unsafe, unruly, 5 y.o. daughter was kicked several times while swimming, footballs being thrown across room, we just left. Extremely over priced just because of cheer comp and with no breakfast, couldnt enjoy the pool as well as behaviorably challenged staff. Nicest staff - was girl that brought me an extra blanket because the one on the bed was thin like a flimsy throw with a duvet. Just an icky miserable night (15 hr) for almost $200.

Property is aging and dingy. Its intent is high volume occupancy with minimal maintenance and deep cleaning for maximum profit. Property allows pets and sound of barking dogs passes through walls and is very annoying when trying to sleep. Desk staff appeared to be disgruntled about something and was very short and unwelcoming. Room key was not correctly activated to open room door. Desk staff offered no apologies when returned to get room key activated correctly.

We went up for a UWV game. The hotel is located just down the street. A very easy walk to the stadium. The room and bathroom had plenty of room and we very clear. No problems. Attached to the hotel is the Smokin Rib and Brewhouse. They had great food and it was a great place to hang out and meet other fans from both teams. Their staff was outstanding. Many TV's to watch other games before and after our game. It was snowy and cold when we were there so it was nice to have a place to hang out since we didn't venture out like we had planned.

Room was clean but I did reserve a king room and got 2 queen not a big deal. Beds were comfortable. We were here to visit family in hospital and this was close place just couple minute drive. Breakfast though was BAD. I paid extra for it and couldn't even eat it. Waited and waited for waitress to bring us coffee and when we finally got it. Well it was cold. So I definitely would not recommend paying extra for the breakfast. Everything else was great.

The hotel accommodations were good however we purchased breakfast with our reservation. When I tell you it was the worst meal we ever had I am not exaggerating!! The service was super slow, the restaurant was practically empty, the waitress kept apologizing but I’m not sure for what. The home fries were as hard as a crouton, everything was barely warm not even close to being hot. My husband said it was the worse cup of coffee he ever had. We left hungry! We had dinner the night before in the hotel restaurant, it was good.

The Excellent: the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on in a hotel. Amazing! It was a California King which I liked. Plenty of pillows. The Good: Shower was beautiful, plentiful hot water, just Ok pressure. The shower head was very high on the wall. Good for tall people. The awful: Breakfast. Even though it was included in my room rate, it was incredibly disappointing. Dirty silverware, long delay in getting seated and getting coffee, (then no spoon to stir coffee!), meal was not prepared fresh, but certainly came from warming pans in kitchen. (Extra charge for fried eggs!) Only white bread for toast option and when offered a bagel, it came cold and without butter or jelly. Scrambled eggs were lukewarm, sausage was clearly precooked and light gray, hash browns were deep fried then left to sit. The bacon was the only redeeming part of the meal. Would be livid if I paid the menu price of $15! The unacceptable: only Coffee Mate for coffee in lobby. To this coffee drinker, that is a travesty. Powdered creamer in the room. Awful. All in all, I would stay here, for that heavenly bed! Pro tip: Do not pay extra to include breakfast. There are plenty of great places to eat in Morgantown. There are also great local and national chain places for great coffee.
