Tremont Lodge & Resort

We stayed a week for the Jeep invasion. The grounds were fantastic. We loved the three pools, the gym, the fire pit and two outdoor kitchens. The room was nice and clean. However, they were a little dark. A nice floor lamp would have provided adequate light. I also would have liked a small sofa or chairs to sit in instead of the odd desk. The trash cans in the room were far too small. Breakfast was fair. The staff was friendly and helpful. We look forward to staying again.

Check in was easy and quick. We were staying there after a couple of days of camping so a nice bed, hot shower with good water pressure, and working a/c was a must and we got everything we could ask for and more. My in-laws were also staying there and there was plenty for us to do between the three pools, pickleball courts, and other activities that were available through the resort. Would definitely stay here again.

Very good hotel. Indoor/ indoor pools. Pickelball court. Only complaint was our neighbors had dogs that barked every time we moved in our room.

There were neat little surprises everywhere we turned. The game room had a hidden speakeasy room that was fun to discover. There was a gas fire pit, and the one we preferred was the wood/log fire pit with a nightly movie playing just beside it. We got to enjoy the movie while cozied up beside the fire pit. We also were very surprised to finally have turndown service provided. Thought this was all but a lost service at most places we've stayed at. It was a pleasant surprise to come back to emptied trash bins and a made bed turned down and ready. Wow!

This was an off season stay. We pretty much had the place to ourselves. Room was very nice. Office was a great help to find our way to the back side of the property. Early spring was in the air, the resort was still getting ready. For our trip, this was just a stop on the way. When in full character, I would want to stay here every time: multiple pools, BBQ-grill spots, outdoor movies.

We enjoyed our stay. The room was missing a door sweep or weather stripping and that made the room very hot! We went and bought a fan and turned down the AC so that it would keep both the living area and the bedrooms cool. One pool was closed and the other needed some maintance to the concrete but the pool itself with the waterfall was very nice and relaxing. We will stay again!

The place definitely looks a lot better in pictures, we decided to stay there because of the facilities, but the hot tubs weren’t working. Otherwise the place was nice and clean.

Beautiful and so peaceful. Loved the pool and the work out building. Pavilion with grills and fire pit were great!

Hot tub in the indoor pool wasn't working and water in indoor pool was cold. Everything else was fine.

I checked in, went to my first room,ceiling tiles missing in the bathroom and enough dust in the exhaust fan to make a rug. Went to front desk and they put me in “one of their best room”? Second room as dirty, no soap either at the bathroom sink or in the shower. Ceding times are again disgusting, where the ceiling met the wall, several areas of spiders! A live mouse trap was seen behind the refrigerator. I slept on top of the bedspread in my clothes.

Amazing stay. Room was very clean. Great couch. Conveniently located across the street from different places to eat. I'll def be staying here again next season.

Booked here for a weekend stay. First red flag was trying to contact the office to notify them of our late night arrival the contact number is an out of state Utah phone number and the woman that answered both of our calls was 3rd party. Told we would receive an email from property prior to arrival with instructions on how to access lock box for keys if we arrived after office closed. Never got the email. Fortunately we arrived just before closing and check in was fast and easy by 2 friendly staff members. Now for the room. We booked based off many very positive reviews so we had reasonably high hopes. Extremely disappointing. Our king room looked nothing like the pictures on hotels.com. Description did not match what we got. No kitchenette, no dining area. Just a hint of mountain view through the trees. Cleaning was sub par...dust/dog toy behind tv/dresser, water on floor in front of ac unit constantly flooded outside balcony....room had strong mildew smell throughout....clearly from water collecting on and under vinyl plank floor...living area desk chair falling apart...front door faced indoor pool, unable to close door without slamming it really hard...door locks and catch were rusty...stains on balcony drapes looked like dried blood...Property felt rundown..dust and rust throughout indoor pool area..balcony had tons of cobwebs and no switch for outdoor light which attracted every flying insect for miles. Continental breakfast was disappointing. Comfy bed,plenty pillows.

Bathroom could have been a little cleaner.

Our room was extremely unkempt. The sheets were dingy, the comforter had several yellow stains, and there were bugs and dirt in the corners of the room. We also found miscellaneous debris under the bathroom cabinet. Very disappointing experience, ad we expected much better cleanliness for the hype received via emails from NEW management!

Room was immaculate. We love the renovations. Hotel staff kept us updated through text if and when there was things we needed to know. Thank you for a wonderful week. Can’t wait to return

A beautiful room and very comfortable. We would have given 5 stars if there wasn't some trash visible and perhaps need for better vacuuming and spots on the bathroom wall. Breakfast was wonderful and we appreciated the texts to tell us of events. The indoor pool was very nice as was the outdoor pool closer to the office.

Cleanliness was average, and the stay was ok but there was an issue with our room that was pretty serious yet it was not taken seriously and one member of staff was pretty rude about it.

The front desk staff were nice. The room however was terrible. It was above the indoor pool and it smelled like chlorine,itgave us an instant headache and made our eyes burn. My husband had to literally push the door open because the door frame was warped and the door stuck The room was not very clean . The furniture was old and beat up Two of the drawers would not close. There were spider webs on the ceiling fan,dirt around the baseboards and the baseboards were gapped and the mirror,toilet and shower was dirty. The only lamp in the room had an electrical wire connector for the lamp switch.the curtain was old and dirty. The place was booked solid and no other rooms were available. We are very dissappointed.we will not stay there again.

Great stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. Trevor was super nice. Room was spacious. Beds very comfortable. Quiet and less crowded. The only thing not so great was the hot water in the bathroom was lukewarm at best. The morning staff said they would have maintence look i to it. Overall great stay.

I checked in and went to my first room. The door was automatically unlocked and had a strong cigarette smoke odor. The lights did not work either. It was a very old room. This was in one of the older buildings so I’m guessing it depends on which one you book but that’s still unacceptable. They did give me a new room that did lock and have lights and it smelled okay the bed and shower were clean. You can tell they are trying to fix it up but maybe go ahead and close the older rooms down to guests until those are also renovated. If you do book here make you sure ask to be put in a “new room, and building.”

The rooms were remodeled, but they were smaller than expected.

Front desk staff was super, room was really nice - loved having a balcony!!

The room was very clean and the area was quiet and peaceful. The air unit was in the living room space so although that area was kept cool, the bedroom was warm. The ceiling fan was also in the living space so there was no air flow in the bedroom. The curtains do not fully cover the windows in the bedroom so the light from outside, made it difficult to sleep.

Great location, clean, friendly staff. A/C doesn't reach bed area because it's located towards the back sitting area, thankfully we travel with a fan!

During our stay the hot tub wasn't functioning properly and swimming pool while technically an "indoor pool" the door to the outside was in a constant state of open. Possibly a soon to be remolded section. None of this really bothered us much but I will say the layout is a bit confusing. Like different hotels that were bought up and now have the same owner. Breakfast is in the same place as the office. But it was a drive for us to get there. Could have been walked but if there was bad weather you wouldn't want to due to the nature walk outside to a different building. Our building was where the pool and hot tub were. Not that we needed the amenities since we had a Jacuzzi in our room that worked perfectly. I will say the wifi was inconsistent. Like the office was where the router was and occasionally the wifi would drop from my phone. Overall it was a nice stay though. Service was top notch. Just inconvenient having the distance between buildings involved

Room was very humid. Humidifiers were in the rom but did not help much. The beds almost felt wet from the humidity. Think the rooms were overpriced.

The carpet seemed old. The room needed updated. They seem to be making some improvements on the property, but they have a lot to work on. The neighbors were loud late into the night. We could hear every voice and every toilet flush from the neighboring room.

A good stay, if you’re not in one of the upgraded rooms it is a bit tired, you can see the areas that they’ve started renovating and these are much smarter, I’m sure it’ll all be like that soon but for now definitely pick upgraded if you want it to have the feel of the hotel images, otherwise you may feel that you’re in a different hotel! Price wise it was still decent, I just felt a bit misled by the images.

Jenna was very rude. She put us in dirty rooms after “checking” to make sure they were clean.. We got there at 4 (check-in time) but couldn’t check in until 5:30.. We had no clean sheets towels or comforters and when i finally had enough of calling trying to get someone to answer I went down there at 1AM and she yelled at me. I got my refund back but they turned around and took my whole stay back out of my bank.. I wouldn’t waste my time here.

We had a problem the second day where the door wouldn’t open went to the office for new key back to the room didn’t work again went back to office she got man’s man finally came and fixed the lock my husband had to go to the bathroom he had to go in the woods due to long wait to fix door also main door needs fixed as it sticks

Very nicely updated place to stay in Townsend. Staff was extremely pleasant. Owner even reached out to make sure the stay was good. Feels great doing business with people instead of a corporation. Would stay here again.

Checking in was a nightmare tried putting in a nasty room they we didn't reserve we were supposed to be in a king suite they wouldn't let me speak to the manager it was 630 way after 4 before we got a key and thats when I figured out not the i booked bever would i recommend this olacevto anyone i want my money back

When you have a whole lobby of people waiting around for their rooms 20 minutes after the posted allowed check in time then you are failing as a hotelier. No refund or price concession offered for this hugely impactful (to us) lack of delivery. Not at all acceptable for the price we paid. "Ready in moments" does not mean still not ready 20 minutes later. Got the impression from the nonchalant attitude that this is a chronic situation that mgmt thinks is no big deal. It is never a small matter when you overpromise and underdeliver with paying customers - period. The room was a bit dilapidated - lots of things were chipped, cracked, etc. and sparsely furnished for the price. (Older Motel 6/Red Roof Inn quality.) Hot foods on breakfast bar were not kept at food safe temps - food poisoning waiting to happen. Seems like new management has a lot to learn. Would avoid for a few years.

We arrive, checked in and went to room. Walked in and room was dirty. Went back to front desk and she was very apologetic. She upgraded our room which was nice. We found new room unloaded and were about to leave for dinner and i noticed that the door wouldnt lock. I called front desk again and she came to check out the situation. We went into the wrong room. It was unlocked. That is how we accessed it. She switched rooms again since it was same kind of room. Slight mix ups but she was very helpful and understanding. We would probably stay again.

The hotel is not bad, but I had a not so praiseworthy experience. Needed a pet friendly room and the my gave me one in building 4. Would have been great, but I got there at 6 PM and the room wasn’t clean. Tried to call front desk but call was routed to the Philippines. Took three calls and over an hour before someone came to clean the room. Stayed two nights, and room was not cleaned on second day. Night Mgr did offer me a percentage refund for all of the inconvenience. As of this writing one week later, I have yet to see any refund applied to my card. I was also disappointed that for Building 4 there are no handicapped parking spots. Showers were dangerously slippery. Need to add the non-slip strips that had worn off. Generally, the rooms are nice and I had a small balcony, which was a nice addition

Excellent service. The AC in our room was suboptimal and Caitlin was able to provide us with an excellent room which was significantly better overall than the first room. That alone makes us want to come back! Unfortunately, the warm breakfast amenities were out of stock at the time we were there, but we were told more was being prepared. We wanted to get our return trip home started early so we left without breakfast. I suspect it was just a fluke coincidence given the other outstanding services provided.

Great staff! Updated rooms.

It was a great place to stay on the quieter side of the Smokies. It is so convenient to Cades Cove. There are several places to eat so you don’t have to make the long drive back into Gatlingburg.

Location to smoky mountains fantastic!

I appreciate that this property was quiet and close to dining options as well as close to GSMNP.

This hotel was great! Very clean, very friendly! I would highly recommend this place and we will be back. It is half way between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Great little restaurant across the street called the Abby. Look it up, grest food and atmosphere.

Decent place for a family. The pools were fun. Location good. Need better lighting in bedrooms and shower curtains washed or replaced. Didn’t have bathroom fan. The beds were comfortable and workers friendly. Breakfast was not bad. Waffles and yogurt. Boiled eggs. The African American man who stocked the breakfast room did phenomenal. The other people the previous day didn’t do well. I don’t love the choice of bed frames. My ankles didn’t appreciate lol. The big pool was getting worked on. The water wasn’t clear so I assume that’s why. The room was clean! The beds were fresh and pretty. Need softer toilet paper

A couple of us went down to Townsend for a motorcycle trip. The hotel was very nice, and the location was great. They appear to be doing some work on the property, so there was some construction going on, but it did not inconvenience the guests at all. Breakfast was good: hot meats, breads, eggs, etc. would absolutely stay there again.

Breakfast not served until 7 and office didn’t open until 7. We had to leave at 6:45. No offer of accommodation made

Great location just outside the Smoky Mountains, with a beautiful drive along the river in morning on the way to Clingmans Dome. We loved the comfortable queen beds, nicely decorated room, and hot shower. It was clean overall, though the bathroom could’ve been a bit cleaner. The pool area looked nice, and the breakfast area was simple but pleasant. Staff were very friendly and polite. We’d definitely stay here again!

Cons:There were no USB plugins in our room, not in the lamps or wall sockets. The towel holder at the sink was low, causing the towel to just reach the counter top. The toilet/shower area was cramped. The grounds needed mowing. The coffee in the room was bitter. The breakfast room was being repaired, so no hot breakfast was available. (It is supposed to be repaired by next week.) Pros: I liked the hardwood looking floor in our room. The bedroom was spacious. Everything appeared very clean. The coach was good for not holding pet hair. The room had been recently renovated. It looked modern. Our room had a porch with chairs to sit outside on. The swimming pools were well kept. One pool even had a waterfall. The overall grounds were beautiful. There were several areas for groups to gather outside. The views were great. The property has a multi-purpose trail right next to it, near the road. The staff members were very friendly and helpful. I was grateful we could bring our dog. They have rooms set aside just so people can bring their dogs. They have an exercise building that seemed to be reasonably well equipped and well maintained.

First time at the Tremont Resort and we absolutely loved it! The rooms are very nice, the resort amenities are numerous and every one is very nice. The location really couldn’t be better and the views are amazing. The only downside are the breakfast choices.

Tiles in bathroom ceiling had bad water stains. Curtain only covered half the window. Breakfast was cold cereal. Tub had large chips in it. The beds were comfortable.
