Location of this property was fantastic. Beautiful neighborhood, and easy to walk places. Metro stop just a few blocks away that allows easy access to train station and airport. Facilities were a bit dated, but overall we had a great stay.

The „gym“ is the biggest scam/joke. You literally have two treadmills in there that’s it. The rooms are build weirdly, bathroom was very nice, the beds were moving around with the smallest movement on it. The pool is dirty. Scan for this price and never 4 star, more like 2. The staff is the opposite, super nice and always willing to help. Safe yourself money and don’t go here.

Habitaciones muy pero que muy ruidosas sobre todo si das a la calle Rosello. Las paredes son de pladur. Se escucha absolutamente todo lo de la habitación contigua. Las puertas de las habitaciones hacen muchísimo ruido al cerrarse aunque lo hagas con extrema delicadeza. La almohada de dureza extrema. Sin posibilidad de cambiarla. El aire acondicionado no funcionó durante dos días, aunque en recepción dijeran que si. Nos ofrecieron un ventilador y después tampoco nos lo dieron, pues los habían repartido todos. Como compensación un desayuno gratis, que al ir a desayunar tampoco estaba notificado al personal del comedor. El desayuno no es nada variado. Más bien justito. Recepción muy pequeña. No tiene categoría de 4 estrellas. La piscina y el solárium… solo tres sillones/tumbonas con espacio muy reducido. El personal muy atento pero sin posibilidad de resolver los inconvenientes, salvo el cable de la antena de tv que tampoco llegaba la señal. Con respecto al cambio de toallas. Tal como recoge la cartelería si no las pones en el suelo y están colgadas significa que las reutilizas. Aún así, cambio diario de las mismas. Poco amigable con el medioambiente. Lo bueno, personal amable, la cercanía a la rambla, metro muy cerca, buena gastronomía por la zona. Pero si buscas algo más de confort y descanso, este hotel no es recomendable por el precio que tiene. Una lástima porque era la segunda que vez que iba a este hotel y no tuve esta sensación la vez anterior.

Værelset er samlet set ok. Rengøring var de kommet let omkring. Sengen rigtig god. Badeværelset var fint. Morgenmad ok, udvalget er set større. Service i receptionen var ok. Undrer os over at det er et firestjernet hotel. Pool og tagterrassen var helt lukket. Det fremgik ikke da vi bookede. Beliggenheder i forhold til sightseeing i byen er hotellets absolutte fordel. Vi vil dog nok overveje at finde et andet hotel i området.

Very clean and bright, uninspiring breakfast which we skipped so we could enjoy the local restaurants which were amazing. The staff were friendly enough but often busy, some being more attentive than others, while others being very kind and helpful. Overall really nice but basic hotel. The pool and amenities are disappointing. AC worked really well. Come here for a quiet night's sleep but a little pricey and generic overall.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the 1881 Gran Rosellon Barcelona, and I'd like to provide an in-depth review. Overall, the 1881 Gran Rosellon Barcelona left a good impression. The location was excellent, making it easy to reach various attractions quickly and conveniently using public transportation. The rooms were spacious, and we had a large bathroom, which added to the comfort of our stay. Unfortunately, there were some aspects that affected our experience negatively at the 1881 Gran Rosellon Barcelona. Despite the information that the pool would be accessible until the end of November, it was inactive during our stay, which was disappointing. The beds in our room were quite uncomfortable, especially the pillows, which were very hard. Another downside was the Smart TV function on the television. While it was available, it didn't work because the TV was not connected to the internet. This is a minor issue that could be easily resolved and would undoubtedly make many non-Spanish-speaking guests happier. Overall, our stay at the 1881 Gran Rosellon Barcelona was mixed. The accommodations were clean and spacious. The location was excellent for exploring the city by foot. We enjoy walking so we didn't mind the 15-20 minute walk to the downtown hub of Barcelona. We had issues with the air conditioning unit in both rooms they set us up in - there was a loud humming noise which lasted about 10 seconds every time unit started cooling the room. The "pump" turned on every 45-60 seconds so this was very disruptive to our sleep all night. This went on all night every night and kept waking us up. The staff went out of their way to make us comfortable but the units in both rooms behaved the same. I would book the hotel again, if they could fix the air conditioning issue. Staff was GREAT! The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The staff were very kind and helpful at all times Hôtel rooms were very clean but the pillows were very hard as were the beds. The beds were also too short for someone 6ft 1in as feet were left hanging over the end. Breakfast was very good for the price of approximately 10 euros with lots of options. The only slight I have with the hotel is in the lobby they must have air fresheners so if you have an intolerance to scents you can’t sit there. I would definitely stay at 1881 Barcelona Gran Rosellon again. 😊👍

The description says this is soundproofed - it is NOT. I got to the room, and could hear everything from the room next door - full conversations and the sound of videos on a phone. I ended up checking out and moving to a better hotel.

Staff was amazing, but the room was not good: not an actual queen size bed, but two twin size pushed together. And water from the shower leaked under the glass into the bedroom and the bathroom put the user on display due to its glass walls and lack of soundproofing

The staff were very kind and helpful at all times Hôtel rooms were very clean but the pillows were very hard as were the beds. The beds were also too short for someone 6ft 1in as feet were left hanging over the end. Breakfast was very good for the price of approximately 10 euros with lots of options. The only slight I have with the hotel is in the lobby they must have air fresheners so if you have an intolerance to scents you can’t sit there. I would definitely stay at 1881 Barcelona Gran Rosellon again. 😊👍

Location of this property was fantastic. Beautiful neighborhood, and easy to walk places. Metro stop just a few blocks away that allows easy access to train station and airport. Facilities were a bit dated, but overall we had a great stay.

I loved this place. It was nice and comfortable. The hotel was very secure and the staff were amazing. The surrounding neighborhood has so many amenities in walking distance. Great restaurants, convenience stores, bars, and night clubs were all in walking distance. There were also nearby self service bicycle rental stands. Taxis and uber was abundant. Perfect location to check out the local culture, shopping, and the tourist must see spots.

Very clean and bright, uninspiring breakfast which we skipped so we could enjoy the local restaurants which were amazing. The staff were friendly enough but often busy, some being more attentive than others, while others being very kind and helpful. Overall really nice but basic hotel. The pool and amenities are disappointing. AC worked really well. Come here for a quiet night's sleep but a little pricey and generic overall.

Biggest issue was the bathroom shower as the oddest set up I have ever seen. Beds come with no blankets so you have to request them. If on the street side it will be noisy, many parties till 2am. Was difficult to impossible to get language changed on TV but maybe just me on that one. Staff was very helpful when asked of anything. Breakfast was very good and convenient but scrambled eggs always cold, not room temperature but cold, that was very odd. I rate it as good and use if the area and rate works for you.
