Hotel in great location if attending a sporting event at the University. Even though it is a newer hotel, the pool was not operating and the beds were doubles when listing said queen/king. People working there are very nice. Space in the rooms is larger, but set up like a dorm room-which seems odd.

Ownership of the property changed midweek. Instantly smelled cleaner with more evident cleaning visible. Dislike that the Today show blares all morning long in the lobby. And weirdly enough, is piped to the elevator lobbies too. I don’t need to listen to ads as I wait for the elevators! Both treadmills broken..unimpressive! Overall felt this stay was not as pleasant as previous stays.

Pool was atrocious. Dirty, murky, unswimable. Air conditioner loud in living room and not working in bedroom. Mattress uncomfortable-could feel springs poking you. Staff was courteous.

Room was okay, bed was average at best. No hand soap in the bathroom, typical for most hotel rooms. Shower was decent. Front door was a bear, spring needed adjustment, it could hurt you. One of the elevators was making some banging noises(counter-weights?). The desk person said a tech had determined it was fine, i was like call another tech. My biggest issue was breakfast. Single well done eggs that were served in this unit that was very difficult to get them out.

Good (and free) parking, well located near restaurants and close to UofI. Front desk staff very good. The rooms themselves felt a bit tired, especially the bathroom. They were comfortable enough, just nothing specia.

The hotel was nice. The pool was closed for maintenance which was disappointing. The breakfast was smaller than other Hilton’s but that is probably because there is a kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, sink, and dishwasher in the room.

The sheets had a hole in it. Toilet was loose. There was hair in the bathroom And an empty bottle of tea in the safe. I’ve stayed here before and the first time was great. This time there were a lot of issues.

Not impressed.. Our room was dirty with dust piles where it had obviously not been cleaned for a while. Greasy hand marks on the doors. Bathroom door was also broken. Also our tv had been broken, with the cord ripped off the back. Elevators looked like they had been vandalized. Pool water was very cloudy and the pool wasn’t very big.

Room was very clean, and the employee working at the front desk was very kind and helpful. I would highly recommend staying at this property again. Plenty of restaurants, stores, coffee shops nearby.. very easy to catch an uber from the hotel as well.

The rooms are not too bad. Although I do bring my own cleaning wipes and as I was wiping everything down it was very dirty. That isn’t something the naked eye would see. The breakfast was cold both days the only real hot item is the waffles you can make yourself. The lobby was dirty and the garbage cans outside were overflowing. Staff was not very friendly.

This used to be my favorite place to stay, but really beat up from my last stay 2 years ago. Lobby still nice. Staff is nice. I was on 4th floor, hallway carpets are stained, my room door would not close or lock without being pulled shut, the couch has big marks and stains, sheets are clean, but are really worn. Bathroom wall by shower, drywall is crumbling at the bottom from water damage. Just lacking maintenance, Hilton needs to spend money to refresh rooms. To be clear still better than many hotels in town especially towards I74. But used to be a 5 star hotel for me, now it's a 3

The place was not cleaned properly. There were fishes in dish washer. Former occupants left clothing items in room. During my stay I asked for service and they hadn’t vacuumed. They just brought towels and more toilet paper.

Overpriced because it is Dad's Weekend at U of I. Way overpriced. All of the hotels this weekend - it's shameless. Hard to get onto the wifi. No extra toilet paper in the room. No housekeeping. For what I paid, you could have made the bed and tidied up a bit.

Being a Hilton honors member and having stayed at many of these properties, I expected so much more. Front desk girls were fabulous. Lobby appeared to be clean, elevators worked fine, parking was easy. The room was just clean enough that I would stay, no bed bugs. Old carpeting, our door was nearly impossible to open and close, bathroom had been surface cleaned, definitely no sanitation on either the room or the bathroom. It was a busy college parents weekend so I kind of expected they’d have prepared better, but also understand that they were likely rushing to get rooms ready. Beds were AWFUL… sinking in the middle. Pull out couch was filthy. And, checkout was noon, we’d gone to the game the night before so my kids were still asleep around 8:30- 9am, and we awoke to a housekeeper banging on our door, not once, not twice, but three times asking us when we were leaving. THAT was just totally inappropriate. We spent over $1200 on a room for two nights and were being rushed out in the morning hours before checkout.

The room was really spacious. Everything was clean and fairly comfortable. My daughter felt like her bed was a little slanted and had to sleep backwards. Mine was great. The sofa bed was a sofa bed. We appreciated the range of pillows. There were at least 3 different styles in each bed.

Our hotel room was right by the fire pit outside, and this noise made it a bit loud to sleep and relax. Additionally, we got a room that had an AC that was too loud. It wasn't the hum of the AC, but rather some creaking noises. If you stay here, I recommend requesting a room that's not on the side of the outdoor fire pit! The gym was a plus, it was clean and had basic equipment. The breakfast was overall standard for a continental breakfast.

Check in was a nightmare. New employee could not find Hotels.com reservation. Told us we were at wrong address. We were not. Had to call Hotels.com to get special confirmation number. Gave us key card that didn’t work. Second time, gave us key to room that had people in it! Took over 30 minutes! Probably need to provide better training to night staff. Beds were ok, but not super comfy. The breakfast was okay.

This property is going downhill. We stay once a year and have liked it in the past. This time the toilet in the room was not working properly, the carpet smelled like dirty feet, and there was a baseboard missing near the shower. The quality of the breakfast has declined. The key system was down the whole week (we were told it was a Hilton-wide issue) so we only had one key between us. We will be trying other hotels in the future but are sorry that this Home2Suites has declined so much.

I had a booking paid from Expedia before I came to check in and they told me my card was declined so they made me pay again in person for my room. I looked on my card and I got charged twice. One from Expedia and one from the hotel in person. This is absurd. I been on the phone for hours trying to call representatives so they can fix this issue and nobody has been picking up. I have only been talking to computer robots on the phone and it’s very frustrating. I will never book here again

Apparently they had a maintenance issue & had no room for us. Was disappointed that they did t find us an alternate room. We had to look for a different motel at midnight & we were both exhausted from traveling. They said Expedia was supposed to contact us regarding the problem but no one did.

The stay was fine, but woken up early in the morning due to a fire alarm. One elevator was down and then the other went down for a bit on the first day. Check-in took about 20 minutes because no one was at the front desk. There was no milk for breakfast. Otherwise everything else was fine.

Staff was friendly, but room keys were not working! Each time I left my room, I had to be accompanied by staff to my 4th floor room in get back inside. Since keys not working, could not use pool, fitness equipment or even leave to go get ice! Had to stay in my room, could not go anywhere. Refused to make accommodation or compensation. Found out various keys didn’t work for over a week. Shouldn’t have booked rooms without working keys! Food not hot, no fresh fruit, limited selections at breakfast. Disappointing 2 night stay!!

The hotel was clean and breakfast was good and had lots of options. I was not happy with a parking fee as this was not disclosed and there was no need to charge because parking was not limited. The location is out of the way if you are just traveling through the area on the interstates.

This is our go-to hotel when we visit our daughter at UI. Very convenient location. Also, they improved their breakfast bar by allowing you to make your own breakfast sandwich rather than them being prepared for you. Also, the biscuit was outstanding.

Overall the facility was really nice. We will stay here again. The pool was fun they have a really nice outdoor seating area. The only thing that my family disliked was the quality of breakfast. After it sits out for so long you need to swap out the product. Otherwise,great place to stay

Just dull. Breakfast was poor. No omelettes, no breakfast sandwiches. Sign said Temporarilyl out. I asked if they were making some. Answer was NO. Toaster was broken. I mentioned it. They said, Yup. Probably need to buy a new one. Yikes! But nick people!
