Honestly loved it. I don’t usually leave reviews, but this BnB felt like home and the people running it were so friendly and warm. You can tell they really care about their guests’ experience. Dont miss the 5:30pm “Texas high tea” with Tommie - she’s a treasure.

Our stay at La Maison in Midtown was everything we needed! We were greeted warmly on arrival and were given all of the info we needed. Our room was spacious, well kept and spotlessly clean. We had the breakfast on each of the 3 mornings we stayed, and they were all different but equally delicious! Staff were helpful & friendly throughout! La maison was perfect for our 3 night stay, good access to the tram (within 10min walk) and easy, free parking - would absolutely recommend to anyone who is considering booking!

Unexpected option to avoid chain and cookie cutter hotels in midtown Houston. Very friendly welcome. Daily "happy hour" where guests can meet and chat over a glass of wine. Check in was very simple. We arrived early and were able to check in 2 hours ahead of time. The room was decorated beautifully and the balcony provided a great view. Breakfast prepared by the host was the chef’s kiss to an enjoyable weekend. Would love to come back.

Th e rooms are beautiful- had a balcony to enjoy the sunset. Glass of wine at the end of the day and a wonderful breakfast to begin! My hosts made great suggestions for places to eat and shop. I will be back!

This is a hidden gem!!! So private and quiet and home away from home. Not a big reader but felt like lounging in the comfy library and reading about an essential part of our American history. And the happy hour “tea time” was a perfect start to the evening!! Breakfast very good!!

This intimate bed and breakfast was the perfect choice for us as we faced a grueling day in the nearby federal building passport office. Our room was quiet and luxurious with upscale bath amenities and extra touches. On the second floor we found a 16-seat conference room with a coffee station and wet bar, ready for small meetings during a business retreat. We were served a hot breakfast: sausagey baked egg dish, fresh and ripe melon with toast, coffee and two juices served at our table by our perfect hostesses. We will stay here again and again when we visit Houston.

My man and I booked this as a staycation for one night during Breezy Bowl XX and our stay exceeded my expectations. The owners and staff made our stay comfortable relaxing and memorable. The suite was spacious, clean, and well decorated. We had two bathrooms with jetted tubs and rainfall showers and our favorite was the wraparound porch with rockers. We even had a customizable breakfast of strawberry banana pancakes, bacon, and eggs prepared by Chef Joseph. My man says it was "Bomb". I have raved about it to friends and colleagues and definitely plan to stay again.

Just about the most comfortable B&B that I have ever stayed in! We had a spacious room (203b) that was thoughtfully and beautifully furnished, with a large bathroom. We enjoyed a warm welcome from the owners and staff, a complimentary glass of wine in the evening, and delicious breakfasts. The common areas were very inviting, and parking was easy, located immediately behind the building. The midtown location was very convenient for Houston’s outstanding art museums and also for extremely good neighborhood restaurants.

It was stocked with all the amenities you would need including extra bath robe, extra pillows, towels etc. Private parking lot so no wasting money on a parking lot across the street like most places around town. The chef made an excellent breakfast! Do not skip it! The whole property and staff is so welcoming! Like you are coming home! We will definitely be back! EXCELLENT STAY!

La Maison is a beautiful building. Nicely renovated and clean. My room was very nice. Light colored carpet could have used spot cleaning. Hall carpet was great. Breakfast was great the first day and ok the 2nd. I think they should give you 2 options. I wasn't crazy about grits. I guess i could have asked for another option. Staff was nice.

Lovely house. Location convenient for driving to places. Local streets didn't feel too safe after dark walking. Great service and breakfast and Gloria Latin Restaurant nearby. Struggled to understand the older shower/bath operation without standing in the shower with reading glasses and one or two minor maintenance issues.

The property was immaculate, the rooms were sophisticated and beautiful. It was quiet and very restful. The two ladies who own and manage La Maison are hospitable and gracious. Unfortunately, our schedule did not permit us to enjoy breakfast or high tea, but hopefully we can return when we have more time.

This was one of the nicest stays we've EVER had anywhere. The small hotel is custom-built along the lines of a European guesthouse/American B&B, but with the comfort and modern amenities of a four-star hotel. The cooked breakfasts by Chef Willie were phenomenal, with warm and professional service. There is ample parking and easy access to several nearby neighborhoods with lots of restaurants. There are too many thoughtful touches to mention -- I mean, a lint roller in the bathroom in addition to all the typical amenities, need I say more? There is a conference room available, which made me wish I were closer to visit for retreats and the like. The AC in our room (303B) made our bathroom rather noisy with machine rumbling, but that was the only downside.

We had a one night stop (room 203B) before starting our road-trip and La Maison was perfect for this purpose. Room was very comfortable and clean. Our only issue was with road noise and persistent loud music until the early hours of the morning. Breakfast was very nice and sent us on our way nicely.

French Quarter vibe, with lovely common rooms. Our suite was great, large room, balcony, and large bathroom. Decor was very nicely done, continuing the French Quarter feel. Breakfast was made to order for us, as I have some food issues. Very accommodating. Really nice property.

The nicest owners. Very helpful and thoughtful. They have cameras on property so they knew when we arrived and held doors opened for us. Beautifully decorated, loved the Library! Wine every night from 5:30-6:30 pm. A very, very quiet property that is close to Spec’s, St.Joseph hospital, restaurants and bars. A hidden gem! Excellent personal chef made breakfast. Huge selection of coffee, hot tea, delicious honey for the tea. The bacon was perfectly crisp, French toast with fresh blueberries and eggs were superb! Julia is also a trained vegan chef. She loved her job and it shows.

Genora was there to greet us personally and the amenities were great. I highly recommend staying here rather than in a big-box hotel as the attention they give you is next level. Great, homemade breakfast the next morning, too. What's not to like?

La Maison is perfect. Absolutely beautiful design and decor makes this a very welcoming and comfortable stay. The staff greeted me warmly, accommodating my special requests (foam pillow). I felt like a guest, not just another customer in a bed. And the breakfast was fantastic. La Maison in Midtown will always be my address when I am in Houston.

The property was immaculate, the rooms were sophisticated and beautiful. It was quiet and very restful. The two ladies who own and manage La Maison are hospitable and gracious. Unfortunately, our schedule did not permit us to enjoy breakfast or high tea, but hopefully we can return when we have more time.

Lovely place. Very friendly hosts and staff. We were initially afraid that we might be too far from the city center for convenient sightseeing. Shouldn’t have worried - it’s close to the metro and there are plenty of things to do, see, eat etc within 10-15 min walk.

Our stay at La Maison in Midtown was everything we needed! We were greeted warmly on arrival and were given all of the info we needed. Our room was spacious, well kept and spotlessly clean. We had the breakfast on each of the 3 mornings we stayed, and they were all different but equally delicious! Staff were helpful & friendly throughout! La maison was perfect for our 3 night stay, good access to the tram (within 10min walk) and easy, free parking - would absolutely recommend to anyone who is considering booking!

Lovely house. Location convenient for driving to places. Local streets didn't feel too safe after dark walking. Great service and breakfast and Gloria Latin Restaurant nearby. Struggled to understand the older shower/bath operation without standing in the shower with reading glasses and one or two minor maintenance issues.

Just about the most comfortable B&B that I have ever stayed in! We had a spacious room (203b) that was thoughtfully and beautifully furnished, with a large bathroom. We enjoyed a warm welcome from the owners and staff, a complimentary glass of wine in the evening, and delicious breakfasts. The common areas were very inviting, and parking was easy, located immediately behind the building. The midtown location was very convenient for Houston’s outstanding art museums and also for extremely good neighborhood restaurants.

Such a gem, we will definitely be staying here again! The rooms were large and clean, loved that they all seemed to have balcony access! Room 203B was very private and cozy. The 2nd-floor conference room had water and coffee for when we first got up, then we went down to breakfast and Chef Joseph treated us beautifully! My only request is more vegan options, like vegan sausage. Parking was super easy and free. We were able to walk to some excellent dining options, and it was easy to get a Lyft/Uber. Thanks for a great stay!

La Maison is a beautiful building. Nicely renovated and clean. My room was very nice. Light colored carpet could have used spot cleaning. Hall carpet was great. Breakfast was great the first day and ok the 2nd. I think they should give you 2 options. I wasn't crazy about grits. I guess i could have asked for another option. Staff was nice.

Excellent B&B! What a wonderful surprise to find this place in midtown. The place is beautiful and extremely well kept. The breakfast was outstanding and the chef a great guy. Host was very helpful and personable. Would highly recommend!

This was our second stay here. We like it because it’s close to family with lots of great restaurants close by as well if you don’t have a car.. It’s clean and quiet. They offer a great breakfast by a chef in the morning and wine in the evenings.very friendly staff !

Overall, the room was clean, comfortable, the breakfast was good, and the location was excellent. Unfortunately, the service left me disappointed. From the moment I checked in, I felt like I was being policed rather than welcomed. I entered through the front door because I hadn't been given any specific check-in instructions, yet I was made to feel as though I had done something wrong. The morning of my checkout, after breakfast, both of my key cards stopped working. Fortunately, the chef was there and let me back into my room with a master key card. It seemed staff were generally available in the afternoons, but not in the mornings when I actually needed assistance. Later that morning, no one was available and no one answered the phone. I understand this is a bed and breakfast rather than a hotel, but it made me wonder what would have happened if the chef hadn't been there or if I had been locked out with no way to reach anyone. I also didn't feel comfortable with luggage being stored in the open living room, as it didn't seem very secure. Finally, the housekeeper questioned why I was still in my room at 11:30 a.m, even though the written instructions clearly stated that late checkout was available until 12:00 p.m. The room itself was lovely, but the lack of staff availability and the overall guest experience would make me hesitate to stay here again.
