Room overall was great, something of mine was knocked off the counter in bath and it could have used cleaning underneath. Ordinarily I wouldn’t have been looking there to retrieve the item. Staff were nice. Common area nice for relaxing. Didn’t have pet but someone brought a dog in breakfast area which didn’t need to occur.

arrived and check in was good, room was very nice, but tv didn't work so they moved us to another room which ended up a wonderful, wonderful stay. very clean , free breakfast, staff very pleasant, pet friendly, lots to do, beautiful building. I would recommend this place when visiting west virginia.

It looks like the area is fairly new. We were driving home from Florida and it was our last stop before Canada. The room surprised us as it was a fully equipped kitchenette which included a full size fridge and a dishwasher! I don’t know if all the rooms are like this but we were impressed with the room they gave us. Right behind us is a new Fridays (we had the steak and lobster special…$24) . There’s also a new IHOP and a Starbucks nearby. The dinning room in the hotel served a hot breakfast and was very comfortable. It even had a fireplace! I would highly recommend Hawthorn Suites and it will be our stop next year when coming home.

This was a much needed getaway and we booked this hotel because it had a kitchen and gas grills. Imagine how we felt when we were told that we had to go to Sheetz and fill the gas tanks ourselves and be reimbursed. Really? Wjy not have a tank on reserve? Also, there was minimal silverware, one small fry pan and one saucepan. We like to cook and don't expect much but thus was extremely minimal.

Quick stop on our way through. Pet friendly. Good breakfast. Quiet and beds were comfortable . All amenities of condo..full fridge, 2 burner stove, dishwasher, kitchen sink, microwave, dishes and utensils.

The staff was great! However this place is very run down. Rooms were not clean, carpet in the hallway is humped up and stained, shower floor had black spots, shower head was filthy, dirt on the walls, stains on the curtains and bedding, furniture was falling apart.

I went to check in at 3:05 PM and was told my room was not cleaned yet. The head of the cleaning department went to clean my room and came back 10 minutes later. My room was not cleaned properly. There were potato chips in the chase lounge and fingernail clippings behind it as well. Also there was dust all over the picture on the wall. Garbage is under the dishwasher. I was happy with my stay at all.

In this part of WV (Bridgeport / Clarkesburg) where we've often stopped over on our way home to Canada from SC, there are a number of nice hotels in the surrounding areas. We've stayed at quite a few (Holiday Inn, Microtel, Wingate, Spring Hill, Hampton Inn) over the years. This was the first time we stayed at the Hawthorne Suites hotel and we were pleasantly surprised, or should i say, blown away. The place was absolutely perfect in every way - check-in, amenities, and especially the suite we were given. Everything in th room was perfect. The room included 2 queen beds, gorgeous sleeper sofa, kitchenette (which incl. a full size fridge, f/s microwave, twin burner induction stovetop, pots and pans, dishware, cutlery, etc.) - basically everything needed for an extended stay. And to top it all, much less in price than any of the hotels I mentioned above. Also the bathroom was immaculate and modern. Well done Hawthorne Suites! I will definitely be on the lookout for your brand whenever traveling throughout the US, and I will also be recommending this particular hotel to friends and family. A true hidden gem! Thank you for a great overnight stay! Keep up the good work.

I would rate this property excellent except for the fact that our first floor room had a shower without a complete door and thus it was impossible to keep shower water from reaching the bathroom floor outside the shower. We had to use towels to mop up the water which escaped the shower, despite our efforts.

Beware when you opt to pay later. They canceled my room when I was driving from another state. Called after 6pm, didn’t leave a message. I had to call back when I noticed a call while driving with bad reception. Then the operator was extremely uncaring and unhelpful. Seemed really cold and like he enjoyed delivering the news.

The hotel was wonderful once we finally arrived. The address provided by Hotels.com did not get us to the hotel. It got us to Exit 121 and the mall. We finally called the hotel directly and were advised to get off on exit 124. Once we did this the hotel was easy to find. Not sure who's responsibility this is, but it is incredibly frustrating to not be able to find the hold when you go to the Hotels.com app and press...get directions! Just kidding, we'll get you close but not exactly there!

The hotel was in a great location for us and well maintained. No issues with anything except the bed. My husband and I kept rolling to the middle of the bed because it had a legit slope. Otherwise, zero issues

Policy to offer housekeeping every 3 days was only told to me when I complained to front desk that trash needed emptied and bathroom towels needed changed. Problem with TV shutting off, staff showed up and attempted to fix but unsuccessful. Good part was the breakfast which was better than most places we’ve stayed.

The hotel was in a good location. The room was ok but the shower had a large crack in it which was patched with caulk. Breakfast was lacking. The coffee maker was broken, no fresh fruit, and bread was stale. The waffle maker did work and was good. Common areas smelled of bleach like elevator. The sprinkler in a common area was leaking onto the floor. Only had 3 silverware for the room and a hair on the kitchen towel and dishes. Our particular room refrigerator would not open all the way because of the door and then had to be moved to close because it would be blocked by the countertop. The refrigerator had wear marks indicating this was common in this room.

Room was huge and comfortable. Was just me and my 15yo son traveling for a basketball tournament and only spent one night. There seemed to be a lot of construction workers staying there but place was really quiet. I was disappointed that there was no tub. After a long day sitting on bleachers, I could have used a nice soak, but plenty of hot water. The only thing we weren’t happy with was breakfast. The eggs were dry and old. They did have melted plastic cheese for them (and peppers/mushrooms) and bagels were hard as rocks. We did show up at 9, so near the end of breakfast, but it should have been fresher then it was. Overall a good stay and would stay probably again
