Check in was a breeze. It literally took 2 minutes. The room was stuffy upon entering but after we got the AC going the humidity was gone and it was comfortable. The musty smell dissipated as well. We enjoyed the pool. It was not crowded at all. It was also clean. The breakfast was good. Typical options of scrambled eggs, bacon, and country potatoes. They also had a waffle maker, fresh pastries, fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs and cereal options. The staff was very friendly. Overall, we had a nice one night stay.

Door in the back of the building crack open that anyone from outside can walk in. The first unit they gave us had plumbing issues in the bathroom sink towel holder 3 of them very loose. We complain and they move us to another unit. Previously we always ask a room with view and we got a room with a wall for a wiew!

I wanted to book an inexpensive place to stay on the way to the galveston pier, to avoid such a long drive the day of a cruise (to be clear: this is not down the street from the pier, nor I intend it to be). It fit the bill for cost. But it was the most bargain basement hotel experience I’ve ever had. I shared a room with my daughter. I was a little worried our bed wasn’t clean. The room was brown and dated - no frills at all. (Like the rest of the hotel). Completely lacking in anything that would make it welcoming - just furniture and cheap carpet. There were 2 elevators to the second floor, where we stayed. Both were very dated and slow (sketchy). Check in experience was not great. There were 2 stations but only one person working. The hotel had a problem synching with payments made through third party travel sites like Expedia, which the people in front of us had also used. The poor guy working was trying to figure out how to enter a deposit for them forever. Finally a manager came out from a room 3 feet away and helped him. My daughter and I stood there with our luggage in a very small and cramped lobby for about 20 minutes, while people coming and going tried to get around us. We tried to eat the free breakfast. We had to eat after we left. The food was gross, and the whole dining area felt unclean. The room itself did have a few “pros” - there was a refrigerator for snacks we had from the gas station and a coffee maker. Would not recommend.

I’ve stayed here a couple times now and it is a nice place! Walking distance to many sit down restaurants, bars, and a grocery store. My boyfriend loved the shampoos in the shower. Comfortable bed, clean room, and a safe place. I am always exhausted by the time I get to Huntsville so I’ve never taken advantage of the pool or other amenities like breakfast. But the freshly baked cookies are always good! Plus the front desk will give you bottled water if you ask. We will be back!

After a high stress family day, it was relaxing to come to a clean, large, comfortable room. Happy hour of water and cookies was an additional treat.

Staff was great. Someone parked behind hotel with their engine running in a high rpm from about 3 to 4 am both mornings lots of trash out back but gone next morning

Our stay was good. The hotel is clean and inviting. The pool was nice. Not crowded at all during our stay, in fact we were the only two in the pool. The breakfast was good, not great, but good. The beds were not the most comfortable, but I've definitely experienced worse. The pillows were soft and full. Overall, we would stay here again.

We booked a room with two queen beds, we received a king bed. Our first room was disgusting as the toilet wasn't cleaned and the bathroom sink and counter were disgusting! Had to switch rooms. Not cool. Our second room didn't have our two queen beds that we reserved either. The staff was terrible and lazy.

The hotel was nice. It was quiet easy today get to Only complaint I have is was the floors in my room bathroom was sticky and the elevators floors were dirty. Overall very nice and friendly staff

The hotel is lovely and conveniently located. The staff were all very friendly. My only complaint is that housekeeping never came and tidied our room or brought fresh towels after the first night we were there. We left around 10:30 AM to go see family and got back late and our room hadn’t been touched. We also never had shampoo in the dispenser in the shower. Otherwise, a very cozy stay.

Bed was comfy, bathroom was slightly dirty upon checkin. Pieces of Sheetrock on the floor, carpets were pretty gross. our suitcase had dirt and gunk all over it from laying it on the floor

I checked in late in the evening. Upon arrival I checked in, went to my room and it was completely dirty. The bed still had dirty sheets and the bathroom was littered with wet towels.

Water damage in the bathroom and very humid. Noisy a/c. The floor was sticky.

The room condition was okay but we had to change rooms after check in. The first room had hair on the sheets and the mattress was pulled forward and it was dirty behind the bed. The couch was ripped on the pillow and the linen was disheveled. I am not %100 sure the bed linen was changed.

Everything appeared clean except the carpets because if you walked barefoot the bottom of feet would get dirty quickly. Other than that everything was good and no issues during stay.

our room was disgusting, upon walking in it was extremely hot and smelled of mildew . the bathroom had a suttle but noticeable foul smell aswell. there was mold alomg the sodes of the shower and the wallpaper was peeling off and dripping down thw walls

Service was excellent. Air conditioning was awful. Mattress should have been replaced long ago

The stay was good! Could have been better if the microwaves had not been taken out of the rooms.

A/Cwas not working well which left us hot most of the night. Breakfast was pretty good!

Breakfast was not very good, we usually went out to eat to escape the poor quality, coffee was not hot, we could go on but no need to. Just BAD !

The rooms were OK but needs improvement. The sockets in the rooms were wore out very loose. The plugs kept falling out. The handicap room didn’t have any handles by the toilet. And in bed close to the wall window in room 408. The bed is broken. Needs a new bed.

Very nice place, super easy check in. Nice clean room, just hated the mattress and pillows. Rock hard mattress and the pillows were like bricks, barely slept!

The room was bigger than most. Spacious bathroom too. That was very nice. I did not care for the breakfast chouces. The coffee was not that great either. All in all, I would stay there again.

Pillows are very very flat. Husband had 3 pillows and that barely raised his head up. Breakfast was not great at all. Oatmeal was dried out at 8:30 and had the sand food as the day before. Bacon people!we need bacon

The room was nice and the bed comfortable. We disliked the pillows. They flatten easily and my husband had some kind of reaction from them on his face.

There was nothing catastrophically wrong with this property, but the staff could clearly care less about ensuring it’s managed properly. I’ve stayed at multiple Hampton Inn’s and they are usually a solid choice. Not this one. -We check in for 2 days but our door keys were only cleared for one. Hence as we come back on the second day, we’re locked out. -Even though the reservation was in my name, the room was in the hotel system under someone named Philips. This meant we could not use hotel wifi. -the coffee was weak brown water downstairs. The front desk could not care less that folks were complaining about it. -day 2, no coffee at all. After 30 mins plus, the staff realized they had not turned the machine on in the back so it was going to be an additional extended period before there was coffee. Folks just left (us included). -the DirecTv remote was missing the back to hold the batteries. Hence, every time you grabbed it the batteries fell out. -the TV was so dark you could barely see the screen. Because all you have is a Directv remote, you can’t adjust it. -the bath towels are shop-towel thin. All this is easily fixable……if someone cared.

Wonderful stay- I had excellent service from the front desk- Elena is fabulous she knows her stuff! Kobe was great and Candice too.

Easy check in, staff was really nice! I couldn’t figure the AC out and someone was there to help within 5 minutes . I would definitely stay there again next time I’m in town!

The location had many stores and restaurants that were all in walking distance. The staff was friendly and helpful.

I booked my hotel through Expedia the night before the actual stay. I arrived to the hotel a little before midnight to find out my room was already taken. I never had ran into an issue like this before. The manager said I would have to cancel my Expedia booking and let me just say its midnight already. I will never booked at this establishment again. The manager needs better customer service and definitely needs to obtain better manager skills. All rooms at the other hotels were sold out and we ended up being screwed without a place to stay. We drove almost four hours and it was a wasted trip. I wouldnt even give this establishment a 1 star.

Check in for this hotel was a nightmare. Wanted to charge $30 to check in 40 mins early at 1pm. We decided to wait and when we went up to the front desk I was told we had to wait 4 mo it’s because it wasn’t “exactly” 1:00pm. Literally made us wait the 4 minutes. When we got to our room it wasn’t ready, linens were on the floor, trashcan turned over. So essentially would have charged us $30 to check in early to a room that wasn’t even ready. Went back downstairs and were told housekeeping was on a break. The absolute worst customer service. Contacted general manager and she was more respectful and listened but nothing was done to correct it.

Fastest check in at a hotel I've ever experienced. Staff was very friendly. Very quiet and super clean rooms. Not far from the SHSU campus. We stayed for a college visit. Our only complaint was the location of the AC unit in the room. Wish it were next to the bed instead of across the room by the couch.

Good Stay...Excellent Location despite the road work. Lots of places to eat in walking distance. Everyone nice, room great. I will stay here again.

The hot water was NOT hot at all. The breakfast was as cold as the water. No clerk at desk when I was ready to check out. Room was adequate, bed was good. Did I say how bad the breakfast was?
