Beautiful hotel with a lot of amenities. The breakfast included was wonderful and if you pay a little extra you can go to an upgraded buffet. We also ate dinner at the Sky and it was lovely. My only suggestion would be for the food to be kept warmer. Last, this hotel has amazing amenities, free parking and the most beautiful koi garden. I was only disappointed that it didn’t have a self serve laundromat.

The view was absolutely beautiful. The amenities were clean and modern. The only suggestion is to extend the pool hours as this was a big attraction but we weren’t able to use it as it was often closed.

Great pool with long opening hours. Lovely accommodating staff. I was shocked when I saw a laundry bill for £170 (32,000 Yen) for what would be 1-2 loads in a washing machine. Prices before hand would have greatly influenced my decision but I was not informed until after the laundry was finished, how much I owed.

The Hotel New Otani Tokyo Garden Tower was an absolute dream. The hotel and grounds are gorgeous, and our room was spacious. It also had a great view of the gardens and waterfall below. It is conveniently located near the subway and close to lots of restaurants. My kids and I enjoyed the pool and the lovely service. I didn't want to leave!

Great hotel. A bit hard to navigate as it is so large. But you get the hang of it after a few days :) Staff was wonderful and accommodating. Best garden around. Absolutely stunning. Thanks for having us!

Overall nice property…really big! We were in the garden tower. Room (standard king garden view corner room) was nice and clean. Bathroom really small. Not great is the gym - very small and bare bones (no weights). The property had a nicer gym but we had to pay more for it so we didn’t used it. Double check pool hours and times during your stay - it was limited during ours (traveled mid-late June). Hotel is or very much like a convention hotel (think Vegas but without the casino). Overall fine but we liked something a bit less chaotic.

Breakfast was excellent. The pool was a bit of a walk from the hotel and there is no direct access from the hotel but it was nice as there are few hotels in Tokyo with pools. The service was amazing. We enjoyed the sky bar in the evenings for food and drinks and the sky bar buffet was very good. There is an elevator from the garden tower to street level where you are just a 3 minute walk to the subway.

Check in and out was quick. Room was clean and the room service is great. I requested for dehumidifier and shower cap, it came quite quickly even though it was in the evening. The next day they gave me another shower cap automatically. Also, the taxis are readily available there even early in the morning. I really liked my stay but wish I had more time to try out more facilities.

Very comfortable, clean rooms. Nice bathroom. Good view. Professional staff. A variety of food nearby. Japanese garden is a huge plus. My only complaint is that the rooms were very stuffy. This was in late March, on a 72 degree day and there was no air conditioning. Upon contacting the front desk we were instructed to call room service. They told us to turn off the heater, which wasn't circulating air at all. Our room was about 78 degrees which felt intolerable since there was no air circulation at all. If you are driving, parking can be a bit confusing. Overall, still a good experience but I don't know if I would stay again.

The view from the room and the garden are amazing. Sadly, that was all that was amazing. The free breakfast was ok. You get 3 places to choose from, a traditional Japanese breakfast restaurant, a small breakfast buffet, and a medium sized breakfast buffet. The huge breakfast buffet shown in the photos costs an extra $20 per person! We did not try it and stuck with the free medium option. There was an acceptable selection of food options and the food was generally ok. Not great as expected from a hotel of this level, just mediocre. There is not an omelette station. This was disappointing. The individual food items were not at the quality expected for what this hotel represents. Combined with the room experience and this hotel leaves you with a 2 star hotel wrapped in 4 star wrapping paper. The grounds around the hotel are amazing. The rooms were extremely lacking in proper repair and maintenance. Repairs were poorly performed. There was rough patch work in places, lack of caulking in the tub. The provided body wash and shampoo was of the type you would get at a cheap motel in the states. Our room was spacious with a great view, but otherwise felt almost like a bait and switch. The shops and restaurants all match with what you would expect from this caliber of hotel, with prices to match. It is truly disappointing how they are neglecting the rooms.

Positives: It is near a lot of restaurants and a major subway station that is within walking distance. The staff are also very helpful and friendly. The room we had was also pretty large and quiet, which was mainly what we were looking for. Negatives: The Garden Tower is starting to show its age. I stayed in a large deluxe room and the layout was unusual along with having a small outdated bathroom. We also noticed that there was mold on the ceiling in the living room. Big mold spots on an area probably 5 or 6 feet across. I took a picture and went down to the front desk and they quickly moved us to another room which had been remodeled recently and looked more updated. They also gave us a free desert for our trouble. Also the television was not a smart TV, and only had access to local cable channels. I feel like having access to streaming services should be a basic amenity in 2024. The breakfast at this hotel is also very bad, I'd say the worst I had in my 2 months in Japan. I strongly suggest you skip it. It was crowded and the food was lukewarm and honestly not very good. We paid nearly 5,000 yen per person felt very ripped off. Because of this experience on our first morning here, we didn't even try any of the other restaurants they had at the hotel. Final word: This hotel is ok, but it could be an incredible hotel if they updated the rooms and had a respectable breakfast on site.

ニューオータニには何度か宿泊したことがありましたが、今回のガーデンタワーの宿泊は禁煙ルームを希望したものの喫煙臭がしました。スタッフの方からはタバコの臭いではなく湿気によって匂う臭いとのこと。夜中に連絡したにも関わらず丁寧に対応いただきました。ガーデンタワーの古さから匂ってしまうものなのかと思います。好きなホテルの一つですが、今回の部屋の匂いだけは残念でした。

This is a very large property. The staff are very helpful. The rooms are larger than average for Japan, and very comfortable. Our views were wonderful - the gardens and Tokyo Tower. Very convenient to several train lines.

The room was nice and clean. Normal size for Tokyo, which will seem a little on the small side. What makes New Otani shine are three things: A magnificent view, the gardens, and the service. The view from our room was amazing. Twice, we woke up to a view of Mount Fuji. The view of the city was breathtaking. The gardens have a rich history and are a wonderful relaxing walk when you have a few minutes. It's hard to believe you're in the middle of the biggest and busiest cities in the world. It's unique to have this as part of a hotel. The service is impeccable. You get used to good service in Japan but New Otani is over and above. Meticulous care for your room and the staff are always helpful and polite. We loved the people at New Otani. The New Otani Hotel is the best hotel in Tokyo!

This is a great hotel, with all the amenities and accommodations you would expect at this level. Service, restaurants, shopping, location (close to a subway station) are all first rate. The only minor complaints are related to the room itself, it had limited storage space - OK for a weekender but not so much for a multi-week traveler - and having only one night stand. That said, it was super quiet and it had an amazing view on two large windows. All the staff was incredibly helpful and polite. Definitely recommended.

Being charged 1/2 the room rate to have a 3 hour early check in was unconscionable and by itself I will NEVER stay here again. The shower did not work as well, there were no additional blankets and the newspaper in the morning never arrived. SUBSTANDARD --and there are too many fine hotels to ever go there again... STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!

We enjoyed all areas of this hotel from the Sky Bar to the interesting shops, the small dining areas on the lower level and the gorgeous garden offering a pleasant walking opportunity. It was easy to get a taxi at any moment for seeing Tokyo sights. The staff was courteous and pleasant. The people at the Concierge desk were a huge help to us in planning our day trips. All in all, this was a great experience!

We stayed in the deluxe triple -really great except the beds were too hard. That said, when I asked for a pillow top/extra duvets to sleep on, management responded very quickly and re-made the beds within about 10 minutes and extended that request to the other room I had to switch to without me asking. Exceptional service throughout the hotel.

This hotel is excellent all around. The rooms are large for Japan and ours, with two twin beds had a table and chairs and felt roomy. The food for breakfast and dinner one night was very good. The walk to the nearest subway, which has good connections, was under five minutes. The staff were unfailingly helpful.

Easy access to four subway lines. Within walking distance to many restaurants and shops. There are also many food choices within the hotel. The hotel itself is quiet, and the service is excellent. The fabulous Japanese garden at the hotel is a wonderful oasis in the busy city of Tokyo, and great for unwinding after a busy day or starting the day off.

Very beautiful hotel, a little out dated. Gardens were awesome. I tried to eat in the restaurants and they wouldn’t accept walk ins even when they were half empty. I ended up eating in the hotel in front, which was ver good and with better cost-benefit. Personnel was very attentive and nice. Even when there is a subway station nearby, you need to walk 10-15 minutes to get to the platforms

Fantastic location! Away from the hustle and bustle of Shibuya and Shinjuku, which we appreciated as it was a bit quieter. But still so close to everything with the train being just around the corner. Rooms were clean and were a good size. Hotel has many restaurants and shops. Staff were incredibly friendly. The only complaint I have is that the pillows and mattress were very firm. But overall it was a pleasant stay!

It was a bit of a walk to the train station and on the way back it’s uphill. Grounds are beautiful the Japanese gardeners wonderful the restaurant is way overpriced, and the immediately local dining options are limited. The room was very large and comfortable. Check in check out and baggage hold were easy with good service.

Really good hotel although not super modern if that’s what you are looking for. It is located close by the station and there are plenty of amenities within a short walk. The hotel is in a quieter area of Tokyo which we appreciated at the end of each day. The gardens are lovely. Would recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at the New Otani Tokyo Garden Tower. The service was top-notch and the gardens were absolutely beautiful—very well-kept and serene. I recommend visiting the gardens at night and during the day to get two different experiences and types of photos. It is conveniently located near the train station and the Imperial Gardens. The rooms were slightly dated but clean and nicely appointed. The restaurants were very overpriced for my taste, but there were plenty of food options nearby.

What an amazing room and facilities. You have to have breakfast in the Satsuki restaurant, it's well worth the extra!! Such a great space for our last stopover before flying back to Edinburgh. Thank you Japan, we have loved our holiday across this magical country.

This is a beautiful property, excellent service. I only have two complaints. One - I do not like the heated toilet seat… there should be an option to turn it off. It actually made the bathroom hot and uncomfortable. Two - food is ridiculously overpriced. The cost of the buffet was not acceptable. We would return however kind of a pain to go look for food elsewhere.

Everything was good. Could really use concierge help in making restaurant reservation. They weee suppose to be open until 7pm but was gone at 6pm. Also, unfortunately the breakfast buffets were underwhelming. They are far below Asia standards.not enough selection,
