Birchmont Townhouses

When we arrived- we found a vacant hotel under major renovation. There was no signage directing visitors to check in desk and there were only a handful of cars in the whole place. We cautiously entered in the entrance of Kahuna Laguna and saw a family of 3 enjoying the water activities and 1 life guard. We stood at the front desk for a minute- then rang a bell we saw on the counter. A woman came out and I ask where check in for the townhouse was, She waived us over to a computer and said “name”? I was feeling very concerned about the “ghost town” we encountered and wondered if the unit would be as disappointing. I asked if we could see the unit we would be staying in- the woman walked away and could be heard angrily making a phone call. A minute or so later she returned and said she would take us to the unit. We attempted to follow but she went out the door so quickly that the door closed abruptly rather right in front of my husband. I asked the woman who was visibly upset to not be angry about our concerns with the property and that I only wanted to be reassured that the unit would be clean and free from smoke or other odors before I paid the $350. She brought us to the unit which was dated but overall clean and acceptable for the one night we would be staying. One of the reasons we chose to stay there was for the indoor water park but that was a very big disappointment since they offered no discounted prices even when there was only 1 hour left of the day.

Very nice set-up, full kitchen. Two bathrooms was great.

The room was disgusting. Mold in the bathroom shower cover on the floor. Spaghetti stuck to the ceiling in the kitchen. Smelled horrible. Buds in the bathtub upstairs and everywhere in the townhouse. Staff was nice. Do yourself a favor and never go there.

The property was a great space for a family of five with three older teens. Clean, quiet, great location.

Great location and the pool was perfect for our kids. Having a full kitchen was great too. Space was clean, but a little dated. Definitely nothing fancy but works if you need a crash pad for the family.
