The rooms are a bit Spartan, but everything functions well. that's the only reason I would not give it 5 stars. What is really fantastic about this hotel/restaurant is the restaurant. The food quality is exceptional and the indoor/outdoor restaurant is open all day and nigh, and you will be served whatever you want at any time you want. This is important when you are jet lagging. breakfast at 5:00 pm, no problem. Sit down and have a coke at dinner hour, no problem. but the food is exceptional. Everything on the menu was excellent. I enjoyed several dinners, and others who I knew staying there, from the conference we were attending, had exactly the same experience. Stay at Upper Diagonal for the food, service, and cleanliness.

I had a terrific stay at the Upper Diagonal Hotel. It was very nice - great room - friendly staff - excellent attached restaurant/bar with a wide variety of options and friendly staff as well. Two thumbs up!

El hotel es funcional y con buena ubicación cerca a la Av. diagonal y universidades como Esade. La habitación es cómoda y el restaurante es muy práctico. Lo mejor es la atención, tanto del personal del restaurante como las personas de recepción. Sin embargo el hotel tiene muchas oportunidades de mejora, por ejemplo: en la habitación el baño no cuenta con ammenitties, el gimnasio está en regular estado y com un horario de servicio nada conveniente, abre a las 8 am; la TV por cable es regular y el internet presenta fluctuaciones en el desempeño; las anteriores opciones de mejora que harían mucho mejores las estancias en el hotel

Struttura su due piani con poche stanze a poche centinaia di metri dall’Università e dal centro congressi, con centro fitness ma privo di piscina. Benché avessi già fatto il check-in online come consigliato dallo stesso hotel ed avvisato dell’orario di arrivo abbiamo dovuto aspettare sul piccolo divano davanti al bancone della reception (la hall non esiste) circa un’ora poiché la stanza non era pronta. Le stanze sono grandi e tutto e’ nuovo e ben tenuto. Ha un ristorante che riscuote molto successo di spagnoli anche con bar seppure con pochi posti e la colazione e’ buona ed abbondante. Ho ricevuto il Vip access da Expedia di cui non si capisce il senso: un drink all’arrivo e basta? Io avevo capito un drink al giorno trattandosi di soli tre giorni e devo dire che in hotel mi hanno offerto ogni giorno il drink seppur poi chiarendomi con gentilezza l’equivoco. L’upgrade della stanza e’ stato poco evidente poiché le stanze erano tutte molto simili. Unico neo grande di questo hotel mettere la macchinetta del caffè e la brocca x scaldare l’acqua in camera e poi mettere le cialde e le bustine per il te a pagamento. Non ha molto senso. Comunque tutto il personale molto gentile e disponibile. Bus e metro a pica distanza per andare in centro.

The hotel was great—so convenient for the Barcelona Open! And there is a lovely coffee shop right down the street. The rooms were clean and overall comfortable. The restaurant at the hotel was quite good as well—a large selection and everything was tasty!

Suite à se séjour j’ai plusieurs bouton qui ont apparue suite à la literie et au serviette peut propre. Beaucoup de poussière dans la chambre je suis très déçu. Je met plus jamais un pied là bas.

El Hotel muy limpio, nuevo, con recepcionista siempre, en la mejor área de Barcelona, la limpieza excelente, no tiene alfombras y a mí me encanta porque las alfombras me dan alergia, caja de seguridad, refrigerador mini bar, TV, baño lindo, me encantó, si regreso a Barcelona me quedo allí, si vienes cerca de la Universidad, ESADE, estás a 10 minutos caminando, el hotel tiene restaurant delicioso y a buen precio.
El Hotel muy limpio, nuevo, con recepcionista siempre, en la mejor área de Barcelona, la limpieza excelente, no tiene alfombras y a mí me encanta porque las alfombras me dan alergia, caja de seguridad, refrigerador mini bar, TV, baño lindo, me encantó, si regreso a Barcelona me quedo allí, si vienes cerca de la Universidad, ESADE, estás a 10 minutos caminando, el hotel tiene restaurant delicioso y a buen precio.

The hotel has an excellent location, ir was quiet and had clean environment. The property appears new and modern, enhancing its sophisticated ambiance. Although the room was not large, the space is well-distributed and comfortable . During our four-day stay, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast included in our reservation . is not a self-serve buffet but offers a menu with great choices, making it worthwhile. Both the hotel and the restaurant were exceptionally clean and sophisticated, we had a pleasant experience and we definitely enjoyed. Front desk and employees were friendly and helpful.

Struttura accogliente, vicina alle fermate di bus, metro e tram, in zona tranquilla. Camera spaziosa e silenziosa, dotata di tutto l'occorrente, con sistema di riscaldamento funzionante alla perfezione. Angolo per caffè e tisane, frigo bar ben fornito, ma non l'ho utilizzato. Nota dolente la pulizia: polvere sui piani e all'interno del cassetto del comodino ho trovato sporcizia e un vasetto di vetro vuoto utilizzato da precedenti clienti e non ripulito dal personale addetto alle pulizie. Personale alla reception attento e disponibile.

All was excellent. One point for improvement: the room temperature was very high (27 degrees) when we arrived and it took awhile to reduce it to comfortable temperatures.

We ended up leaving after the first night because it’s pretty for away from a lot of the main attractions in Barcelona. The room was tiny but clean. I just didn’t love the location

I got the room with a balcony the look of the room was amazing I loved the darks features of it additionally I loved the details of lights that are in the room for example, there are lights above the curtains and around the bed frame and you can switch the lights on and off to create a nice atmosphere. The balcony was huge as it was on the first floor it was more like a terrance and was big.Theres also a good amount of snack bar options in case you come to the hotel late at night. Staff was friendly, the area is a bit more away from the centre so if you like a quieter are this is a good option it is only 10-20 minutes away depending on your transport option. Overalls I recommend this hotel it’s idea for a couple getaway and if you smoke it is nice to have a terrance.
I got the room with a balcony the look of the room was amazing I loved the darks features of it additionally I loved the details of lights that are in the room for example, there are lights above the curtains and around the bed frame and you can switch the lights on and off to create a nice atmosphere. The balcony was huge as it was on the first floor it was more like a terrance and was big.Theres also a good amount of snack bar options in case you come to the hotel late at night. Staff was friendly, the area is a bit more away from the centre so if you like a quieter are this is a good option it is only 10-20 minutes away depending on your transport option. Overalls I recommend this hotel it’s idea for a couple getaway and if you smoke it is nice to have a terrance.

Concerns from a platinum Expedia member. While we had a lovely time overall, there were a few aspects of our experience that fell short of our expectations. Upon check-in, my wife and I noticed that our room had not been upgraded, and we did not receive any additional food or drink options during our four-night stay. We were also surprised to find that we received only two drink coupons for the entire duration. Additionally, we had booked what we believed to be a king bed, but instead found two double beds pushed together. Each bed was fitted with two separate double sheets and comforters, which did not provide the comfort we anticipated. El hotel es funcional y con buena ubicación cerca a la Av. diagonal y universidades como Esade. La habitación es cómoda y el restaurante es muy práctico. Lo mejor es la atención, tanto del personal del restaurante como las personas de recepción. The rooms are a bit Spartan, but everything functions well. that's the only reason I would not give it 5 stars. What is really fantastic about this hotel/restaurant is the restaurant. The food quality is exceptional and the indoor/outdoor restaurant is open all day and nigh, and you will be served whatever you want at any time you want. This is important when you are jet lagging. breakfast at 5:00 pm, no problem. Sit down and have a coke at dinner hour, no problem. but the food is exceptional. Everything on the menu was excellent. I enjoyed several dinners, and others who I knew staying there, from the conference we were attending, had exactly the same experience. Stay at Upper Diagonal for the food, service, and cleanliness.

I would return to Hotel Upper Diagonal without hesitation and recommend it to any friends traveling to Barcelona. Lovely hotel. Clean, modern rooms with nice amenities and a quiet, relaxed environment overall. I would recommend it. The only super small criticisms would be that the staff could be a little bit friendlier and the air con seems to be set at a limit so I was quite hot in August & couldn’t get it below 16C.
