Hilton Garden Inn Jackson/Flowood

We checked in and discovered there would be no breakfast because “we didn’t choose that package”; however, that option was not provided, but ok. We went out to eat and came back about 9pm to discover our room key pad was damaged, but worked (we hadn’t gone up at check in, just out to eat) and the door was dirty (I have pics). Still it worked and the inside locks worked and since we hadn’t planned on leaving we were ok with it. We get inside and the desk chair arms are extremely tattered. We asked about buying bottled water, but they had none because the delivery truck hadn't arrived. Plus, the vending machines were all sold out. Then, the remote only controlled the on/off, and volume. So no TV! This was about 10pm so we didn’t bother with trying to get someone to fix it. They weren’t helpful with the drinks so why would they care about the TV. Finally, as we were packing to leave I discover a used disposable laundry bag in the closet. When we checked out I tried reporting the issues but the clerk said “Yeah, we know and we are working on this problems. Like I know these aren’t huge deals, but we got the impression that our room was on hotels.com as a “discounted rate due to damage.” The issue is that we could’ve (and will going forward) stayed somewhere else. We presumed that as an upper scale Hilton family hotel that it would’ve been a treat but instead we were terribly disappointed.

There was some damage to the first room I was given and I had to be moved. The second room was fine. Day 2 of a 3 day stay, my room keys stopped working, so after a long day I had to trudge all the way back down to the front desk to get them reprogrammed. The restaurant was out of several things the first 2 mornings, but had been restocked by the third, so that made it somewhat better. Selection for snacks even to purchase was quite thin, and the vending machines were all broken, which was disappointing. I will say that the staff is all super friendly and tried very hard to be accommodating, but there was only so much they could really do.

Very clean, comfy beds , excellent staff. Room did not have black out curtains and ice machine on second floor did not work. Room was super cold, we loved that. Lobby was very warm.

Shower door wouldn’t close and elevator button on first floor went out. We had to wait on someone to come down in elevator or walk stairs.

No safe to protect valuables, rooms need new furniture, mildew stains on ceilings in bathroom, office computers not working, below average gym. Just seems like an old outdated hotel.

Lack of towels. AC was out in the fitness room. Service was below par.

The hotel has really gone down hill over the last 2 years. It's in need of a complete make over and lots of things repaired. They do not have the kitchen open anymore in the afternoons either. I will not stay there again but I will go hang out with Tim at the bar. He is the only reason I didn't give 1 start. He is entertaining and fun to be around.

Hotel was fine. However, the bar/restaurant apparently are closed on the weekends. This needs to be disclosed as I would not have stayed here knowing this as I didn’t have power following a storm and just wanted to relax with dinner and a glass of wine.

LOCATION WAS GOOD. PROPERTY I GUESS WAS DOING SOME UPGRADES. THERE WAS ALOT OF BOXES IN LOBBY. OUR ROOM THE OFFICE CHAIRS ARMS WERE COMING COMPLETELY APART. THE ELEVATOR WAS MAKING A LOUD NOISE SO THAT WAS A LITTLE SCARY. FOR A HILTON GARDEN INN I WAS EXPECTING A LITTLE MORE.

Carpeting in the room didnt appear clean, the furniture was dated and damaged and the shower door wouldnt close. When i told the employee at the desk her response was "I know but we are working on getting things fixed". So basically they know that there are rooms that are not up to Hilton standards but care more about making money than giving guests what they are paying for.

My room still had trash in the bins. There was plaster on the floor from a hole in the ceiling. The shower leaked out into the entrance and bed area. Left with bites on feet and upper leg area.

The website claims there is an onsite restaurant and room service but neither is accurate. The rooms are painted a mauve- pink and seriously need updating.They have a musty smell. The room cleanliness is lacking. The overall experience has been disappointing. It is not up to the usual Hilton standards. I can’t recommend this place.

Bathroom was dirty floors where not clean and the blow dryer was filthy I will never book this hotel ever again

After staying at this property a couple of months ago, I decided to stay there again this weekend. The furniture was old and worn. The bathtub was dirty. The carpet in the hallway was in need of cleaning. The entry way rug needed vacuuming. This property did not appear to be crowded; however they appeared to put everyone on the 4th floor. The people that was placed in the room next to mine were extremely loud. I could literally hear their conversation. This was definitely a different experience from my first visit to this property.

Lobby area clean rooms not clean bathrooms very dirty staff were nice would not recommend this property at this time needs rooms updated

I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Jackson/Flowood 118 Laurel Park Cove, Flowood, MS, 39232 on Thursday October 12th - Sunday October 15th. On Thursday about 15 minutes after I checked into my room, I called down to the from desk because the refrigerator was not coming on. Upon further inspection I saw that it was unplugged. As I tried to plug it back up water started leaking from it. I also saw how dirty and nasty it was. I explained this to the young man and he came right up. He said that he was the only one on duty and said that I’d have to wipe up the water because house keeping was gone for your night. He said that he would leave at note for the manager to call Mr the next morning which would have been Friday 10/13. I cleaned the water up and he plugged the refrigerator up however, I didn’t use it because it was nasty and had mold it in. The next morning I went down for breakfast around 6:15 and asked to speak with the manager. I was told that she wasn’t in yet but would call me call me when she got in later. The lady also said that house keeping would be up to clean the refrigerator. I advised that I put my “do not disturb” sign on the door because I funky like people in my room while I’m out. The lady at the from said that’ll be ok and they would find while I’m in my room. I waited in my room for about 4 hours that morning no one came and the manger didn’t call.I left and stopped at the from desk yet again.

A better job really needs to be done with the rooms. The carpet was dirty, shower curtain and a dead bug that apparently was smashed with the curtain. All the furniture looks like it had been purchased from a thrift with how poor the condition was and lastly, if this is a non smoking hotel, the rooms wreaked of cigarette smoke. I know it wasn’t just one room but many rooms because our in-laws stayed in another room. Poor job Hilton in letting your franchise and your brand tarnish in this way.

The service from management sucked. I told her about the situation and she said she can only offer me snacks from behind the counter. Very bad whoever the foreign woman was. The shower area wasn’t clean (I have photos) there was a leak in the shower area water came out on floor badly I had to use all the towels to clean up the water. The shower surface was dirty. Look like mold in the corner. I was so upset until I didn’t shower because of the unclean area. My family showered but I took a bird bath from the sink.

We have stayed at this property several times with no problems. This trip was different. The shower water was not hot. No extra sheets or blanket in the closet for the pull out. The room was muggy. There were people partying in the adjacent room ALL night. I called the desk around midnight to ask if there was something they could do. I’m not sure if they did, but it never stopped. The awful music and yelling continued to at least 3am. Again, we’ve stayed here 5 or 6 times in the last 2 years and have never had problems. Wasn’t the best visit this trip.

Only real complaints are the pillows went flat and there wasn’t enough, and the shower setup is weird and creates a lot of water on the floor.

Blinds was in the corner only had a transparent blind hanging and the lights shown in all night, reported to front desk that evening and at check out

Extremely friendly front desk staff.

AC was great! Room was clean and our floor was quiet despite the hotel being full of young cheer squads in town for competition. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

They sent us to 2 rooms that already had someone in them and then changed us from a 2 queen room to a king with a sleeper sofa which I never stay in.

The afternoon and evening staff is wonderful as they have for the past three years!

Overall our stay was great. The only issue I had was housekeeping knocking at 8am waking us up to ask if we were getting ready to leave or if we were a late check out. Then she came again at 10 and asked the same question. Check out isn’t until 12. My sleep was disturbed

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. It was very peaceful, and the hotel is located near one of my favorite restaurants.

We had an issue at check in, on our end, not the properties. They were very helpful in resolving the issue. The property is in a great location.

Yes, however breakfast was a-la carte when it advertised as breakfast was provided for an additional 6 dollars. This caught many of the guest off guard. staff extremely polite.

The room was okay, had a weird smell and the pillows were not comfortable. The hotel was very hot, in the lobby, the hallways and elevator. The breakfast was not open like it says on the website. I would not stay here again.
