Hampton Inn & Suites Falls Church

Not having a pool would have made the difference between staying here or elsewhere. Did not know when booking that the pool was out of service. This should have been made aware before booking and at check in. We could here pounding on floor above us. The ice machines did not work other than lobby, so had to go down to lobby just for ice. We will most likely not stay again or recommend just because I do not trust the "listed" accomodations to actually be accessible.

Nice clean hotel, nice close location for visit to DC only about 15-20 min away from most sights depending on traffic.. **take note* they charge for parking in the lot which makes no sense at all your booking the hotel why shouldn’t you get to park for free!!! This needs to be noted on site and hotels.com.. I wasn’t happy for sure but still a very nice hotel.

One elevator was broken down the entire stay

Can't blame the hotel for the elevator being knocked offline by a severe thunderstorm. However being on the 8th floor and no ability to switch rooms was horrible (we are smokers in a non-smoking room). Thankfully the issue was fixed at check-out. An apology would have been nice but hey.

Facility charges extra $10 for parking without notice

Stayed five days with five people. Overall a pleasant stay. Great breakfast selection. Pool was nice and the room was clean and the bed was average.

Laundry room is clean and washer & dryer is nice and clean, and most special is guests can use it like at home without using coins. Parking convenient and nice indoor pool.

Well located, safe area, clean, nice pool for the kids. It is a good value. The Greek restaurant beside is very good when you don’t want to take the car to go out.

Friendly staff. Good frre breakfast. Pool and gym very nice. Location to walkout for food not that good. Laundry facilities on third floor a bonus. Would stay here again.

This property has started to decline. During COVID they stopped housekeeping. In the years since, they've refuse to restart daily housekeeping. To that end, the shower takes ~30 to get hot water and when it arrives, the water pressure is laughable. I ended up showering at the gym at work. Not worth the money.

Floor carpet is damp, sticky

The front desk was very helpful and kind. The tub didn’t appear to have been cleaned (hair there when we arrived and if smelled of mold and stomach).

We had no housekeeping during our entire stay. We had to ask for towels daily. When mentioning this at checkout the front desk person showed me a new sign that said housekeeping was only if requested. The sign was not there at check in, nor did they mention it anytime we asked for towels.

The location was easy to find. The room was clean and was kept so during my stay. It was quiet. Climate control was good.

Out of toilet paper and shampoo in our room. Staffs in restaurant are not friendly.

Our room faced a very busy road so it was noisy at night. The carpet was very sticky as if something had been spilled and then spread all over vs being removed.

We stayed in a double bed room for 2 days. It was a 20 minute drive from Washington DC, close to a nearby Korean restaurant, the breakfast menu was really good, and the indoor pool was nice. The only thing was the smell from the pillows and blankets, but if that were not the case, we would come back.

Bed bugs. We had two parties in two rooms across two nights, and switched rooms between the first and second night. All four rooms had bed bugs. One or more of us in each room ended up with fresh bites on both nights. No manager on duty over the weekend, so the woefully un-prepared front desk staff muddled through. We were comped, but had to deal with the manager over the phone.

Very clean and nice

Friendly and helpful staff. Nice variety of breakfast options. Easy parking and check-in and checkout. Rooms are spacious. Bed was good, but could be more comfortable. Curtain was broken.

No working tv channels and couldn’t change degrees of heater

The room was perfect and very clean. Bathroom had great water pressure and was well stocked. Parking was easy.

Overall this was a great experience. Staff was excellent, breakfast was above average. My wife did not like the bathroom door at all. It was a rolling barn door that was shared with closet and would not close securely at all. The hall and elevators were very hot but the room air worked great. I would stay there again.

Currently laying in bed listening to the neighbors conversations because walls are paper thin. You can hear cabinets shutting and even them walking. The window in the room is thin and you can hear every car drive by. Air conditioning will work for a min each hour. Never again..

First room tv didn’t work nor did the fridge, moved to a second room the fridge in that room did not work either. My daughter birthday cake was ruined. The morning staff told me that they have two freezers downstairs that we could have placed the cake in, but the night staff never mentioned it to me even when I brought the cake downstairs to show them.

We have stayed here many times in the last two years. Our room looks great, as usual. Bed is comfortable but the pillows...ugh! Used to be wonderful.

Room was nice, but faced the Main Street and you could hear the traffic.

We booked and paid in advance for a two-queen bedroom months ago, but when we arrived and got our keys, we found that the room we were given was a king room. When I told the front desk that we had booked a queen room, he said none were available and offered us an upgrade to a king suite. Being very tired, we accepted that. We found that the king suite room was no larger than the king room, and there were a few issues with this room. One, but location of the TV and the fact that it was bolted down to a desk, you could not rotate it so you could watch it comfortably from either the sofa or the TV. So, you always had to watch it at an angle. Also, the AC didn't seem to work properly - either you froze when it was turned on, and if you turned it off it got very hot and stuffy in the room. Also, the room faced a very busy highway, and the noise was very noticeable. The toilet was not functioning properly, and had very low flush rate and took a very long time to refill after flushing. The water pressure in the shower was acceptable, but the water pressure to the toilet and sink were very poor. The ice machine was not working on our floor, but I went down to the lobby to get ice. I found no vending machines in the building, so you had to purchase snacks from the concierge. Two soft drinks and two candy bars were $12.00. I will say that all the staff was very nice and tried their best to accommodate us, but the hotel is not a place I would revisit.

Only negative: I requested close to the elevator due to physical limitations. I reminded the check in staff of my request, and we were still assigned a room 3/4 down the hall from the elevator. Very nice hotel but disappointed that my request was ignored. 🙁

It was all good, except we asked for late check out and the maids kept trying to get into the room.

I had a great stay at this Hampton Inn. After an issue with my booking the manager returned my call immediately upon his return to the office and corrected the issue. Highly appreciate the flexibility and ubderstanding.

Micheal at front desk is amazing great customer service excellent communication skills extremely knowledgeable.

Great location with easy access to DC and NOVA. Felt quite safe. Very clean. Would stay again!

Convenience to Metro station

Great location when visiting DC. Away from the connection but super close to all the excitement of the city. My child is in college in DC and we just found our now hotel when we are in town!

Clean, quiet, and a good value. Nice pool and breakfast. Wish the area was more walkable to the nearby shopping that's across a sprawling highway interchange, but can't complain for that price.

I love the proximity to Arlington Blvd and how easy it was to get around from this location.

It is walkable to different food choices.

The property is right on the main road, and was really uncortable navigating across 4 lanes of traffic as per GPS instructions. There was minimal parking at the front or sode of hotel, so we chose to park in the back. There were often sketchy people hanging out in their cars back there which made us uncomfortable coming and going. The only good thing is our room overlooked the lot in the back so we could keep an eye on it when we were actually there.

Place was easy in and easy out. Near where we needed to be. Appears safe

Clean, great staff decent breakfast

The hotel was very nice , great location and free parking which is great. It also had breakfasts-another strong point; however, the breakfasts were absolutely horrible so we ended up not eating there on the second day.

This was a nice Hampton Inn. The only thing I wish they would do is serve real eggs for breakfast buffet. This is for all HI’s.
