The hotel location is amazing. That being said, I had already stayed at the “Majestic Hotel” and at the “Palace Hotel”, both 5 stars, and unfortunately the “Monument” didn’t measure up. The room, although very modern, was not that large with very little closet space (and I had a Junior Suite!). There is no “bed turndown service” which you would expect in any 5 star hotel. The only plus was the bed, which was incredibly comfortable. • The gym (by the pool area) has 1 treadmill and 2 other machines, and it is as tight a space as you can imagine. The guest bedroom were probably larger than the gym. The worst part was that it did not look clean, and there were no disinfectant wipes or any cleaning cloths to wipe down the machines. • The breakfast area is what saved it. Beautiful space, fresh selection of breads, fruits, yogurts, plus a la carte. And the best croissants I’ve ever had. • We dined at Oria and that was pretty good as well. Service was outstanding. • The bell boys and door men staff were incredibly courteous and pleasant. • Overall, it was a pleasant stay but I would go back to the Majestic Hotel instead.

Hotel na esquina de importantes pontos de interesse turístico; quartos muito bem decorados. Pontos de atenção: 1) como está em área central, não conta com grande número de vagas no estacionamento que fica ao lado e às vezes o carro tem que ir para estacionamento mais distante e demora muito para chegar; o valor do estacionamento tb é bem exorbitante; 2) quarto realmente somente foi disponibilizado no horário indicado no check in e apesar disso - ou seja, minha espera para a entrada - não fizeram o mínimo esforço para um pequeno atraso no check out que eu solicitei. Café da manhã excepcional.

The hotel was lovely! It was a shame that we didn’t know they were refurbishing both restaurants while we were there. The spa is small so I’d not bother with the facilities but the treatment was great and my massage was lovely. The staff were very attentive - maybe a bit too much door knocking to see if we wanted water/mini bar/ turn down / new towels Maybe just come around the once in the afternoon. The room was awesome! There was a huge freestanding bath and the light in the ceiling like stars in the night was a classy romantic touch! Overall I’d totally recommend it. The location was perfect, the staff were very attentive and the breakfast was divine!

We reserved the second best suite at this property. The suite was so small that it could not properly fit luggage in it. It had a second toilet / bathroom that has a foul urine type odor emitting from the dirty wood floor (porous). The door to this second bathroom could barley open/close because it was grinding into the floor. We wen to pool first day, it had dirt on bottom and floating paper trash throughout the pool. I notified the people they just looked and did nothing! The hotel has 7 levels with only 2 elevators, but only 1 working during our entire stay causing much delays.It took housekeeper 2 days and 3 requests to refill shampoo and conditioners!. The AC in suite did not work properly during entire stay. We notified front desk 2 times and they said they would send someone to fix, but nobody ever came to the room to inspect and or fix!. The hotel does NOT respect do NOT disturb sign on door. Upon check out, they never asked about our stay

The staff were very helpful. The bar service was the best I've ever had at a hotel. The room was nicely designed, but it lacked airflow, which left the bathroom with a stale and musty smell. The smell and lack of air flow brought out several gnats in the bathroom. The television consistently went out and was not suitable for the hotel. While the exterior patio was noise-insulated, the room door was not, and we could hear door slams and people talking throughout the halls all day and night. Overall, the staff were helpful and the downstairs bar was exceptional but the room felt inadequate for a hotel of this caliber. It is in a great area, but it left a lot to be desired and did not feel worth the cost.

部屋に階段があり使いにくかった。小さな虫がいてなんか嫌な感じ…。 ただバスタブは広くて疲れがとれた。 スパマッサージを予約しようとしたが男性スタッフしかいないとのことで。 ワタシにはあまり会わないと感じました。 屋上、朝食のレストランのサービスは素晴らしく良く、明るい雰囲気。 部屋が陰気くさくて。1階だったし、水が流れる音、廊下の話し声が丸聞こえで。 落ち着かない部屋でした。 エントランスのボーイたちは優しく気さくでよかったです！

Beautiful historic hotel in a prime location, diagonally opposite Gaudi's Casa Mila with two Michelin star restaurants to choose from. Amazing rooftop terrace with pool. Concierge, Xavi could not be more helpful with his local knowledge. Highly recommend this hotel for a luxury stay in Barcelona.

Toppenfint hotell och läget är perfekt om man gillar shopping och god mat. En trevlig takbar där man kan ta något gott att dricka. Det enda minuset var väl baren nere vid lobbyn som var dödstyst (ingen musik) och ingen mysig stämning. Men drinkarna var goda.

매우 깔끔하고 고급진 호텔 연장해서 총 5일간 숙박했고 업그레이드 해줘서 주니어 스위트에 묵었다. 유일한 단점은 주니어 스위트 임에도 방이 좁다는것. 가운데 격벽이 있어서 유독 좁게 느껴졌다. 짐도 유산소 정도만 할수있는 작은 크기. 루프탑 풀장은 오픈을 안한건지 물이 많이 차가웠다

Beautiful upscale hotel with a great location. Walking distance to all important attractions in Barcelona. Clean, modern close to the best shopping street in Barcelona. Comfortable bed, the best bathroom in the world with high tech shower options. Great shower pressure. Housekeeping is impeccable. Breakfast is awesome in the rooftop with beautiful views of the city. Hotellet har perfekt beliggenhet midt i Passeig de Gràcia. Nydelig bygning med fantastisk frokost og service. Rommet var dessverre en skuffelse. Veldig mørkt med et lite vindu og man hørte undergrunnen veldig godt i tredje etasje. Vi sa vi fra om støyen til hotellet, men fikk aldri noe tilbakemelding på om hvor støyen kom fra. Renhold var bra, men det ble glemt å fylle på essensielle ting som minibar og vanity kit. Det er for dårlig for et fem stjernes hotell, og jeg mener derfor service og rommet drar ned helhetsinntrykket. Mer som et fire stjernes hotell.

The Monument Hotel is a perfect location for walking, dining and shopping. The entire staff is warm, friendly and eager to facilitate the perfect experience for its guests. We also enjoyed the restaurant as well as the expert bartender in the Harlo lounge. Our only advice is that the room (jr suite) was very small, with very little usable closet space. The Monument Hotel is a perfect location for walking, dining and shopping. The entire staff is warm, friendly and eager to facilitate the perfect experience for its guests. We also enjoyed the restaurant as well as the expert bartender in the Harlo lounge. Our only advice is that the room (jr suite) was very small, with very little usable closet space. Unless you smoke I would not recommend the balcony upgrade either. However, we would still stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to our friends and family!

Great location and spacious room. The staff is top notch on service and did not disappoint. The only thing I would change is the light switches (very confusing) and the TV channels available for those of us from the US (nothing but news and financial programming) - but not a big deal.

Loved the hotel, the service is excellent beside low Internet connection, the room is amazing and pillow and bed is fantastic. Loved out stay and would like to stay here again. In case you wondering, the location is central and tube station is only few minutes walk.

Love the location, however the room is very small even though it's already a suite. The bed frame trip both myself and my husband's legs for two times each. Be careful when walking around near the bed. When I checked in early at 10am, the staff asked me if I wanted to pay EUR100 to have my room upgrade to a suite instead of the junior suite that i originally booked which was supposed to be facing the main street and I agreed to pay. End up I got the same size room without the street view. I questioned her at check out and she insisted that my room is a suite instead of a junior suite, however, it looked exactly the same as the picture I saw in Expedia webiste for the Junior suite that I originally booked. I do not think it worth the money paid and fortunately I only stayed for one night.

The staff were very helpful. The bar service was the best I've ever had at a hotel. The room was nicely designed, but it lacked airflow, which left the bathroom with a stale and musty smell. The smell and lack of air flow brought out several gnats in the bathroom. The television consistently went out and was not suitable for the hotel. While the exterior patio was noise-insulated, the room door was not, and we could hear door slams and people talking throughout the halls all day and night. Overall, the staff were helpful and the downstairs bar was exceptional but the room felt inadequate for a hotel of this caliber. It is in a great area, but it left a lot to be desired and did not feel worth the cost.

All Staff was great at this hotel. The actual room wasn’t that good at all. There is not sound proofing you can here everything from the hallway the room above pipes in the wall make rattling noise in the middle of the night. The air conditioner blows directly in your face when lying in bed. The stand up shower dosent drain good there is hardly a slope for the drain and water pools up and comes out the door you have to spend time to clean up everyday after shower.

The great thing about this hotel are the people. They were super accommodating, polite and super knowledgeable about the city. The hotel is absolutely beautiful. Love the decor. For a city hotel property, I felt the rooms were a good size, but for a 5-star experience you would expect bigger. The breakfast was fantastic! Unfortunately, there were some things that I was not happy with during my stay. The train station is right under the property so you hear the train every 20 minutes or so and there is a slight shaking. If you are a light sleeper, this is not the hotel for you. With the A/C on day and night, it never got cooler than 70F/21C in the room. I like it very cool at night, and I never slept comfortably during the stay. This was in July, so I was very disappointed. The housekeeping service was below average. Some days, they didn't even replenish the coffee station. Overall, I would give this 3 stars bc you go on vacation to relax. The train and A/C would prevent me from staying there again.

The staff was great, very friendly and helpful for providing directions to the city attractions. What we didn't like, is that our suite AC system never worked, stayed on 24.5 c the entire time, so it could have been cooler, but we didn't complain, we really enjoyed the room, we just cracked a door and listened to the birds.

The hotel was lovely! It was a shame that we didn’t know they were refurbishing both restaurants while we were there. The spa is small so I’d not bother with the facilities but the treatment was great and my massage was lovely. The staff were very attentive - maybe a bit too much door knocking to see if we wanted water/mini bar/ turn down / new towels Maybe just come around the once in the afternoon. The room was awesome! There was a huge freestanding bath and the light in the ceiling like stars in the night was a classy romantic touch! Overall I’d totally recommend it. The location was perfect, the staff were very attentive and the breakfast was divine!

The Monument Hotel is ideally located at a street corner with Passeig de Gracie (Paseo de Gracia). It is close to all the luxury shops and offers a boutique hotel experience. One of the key reasons for booking this hotel was the ability to have two (2) joining rooms, so that my wife and I could have our own bedroom and ensuite, while my two (2) daughters have their own bedroom and ensuite. This is very practical when three (3) women must be ready at the same time to attend a timely dinner or other evening events that require hair and make-up preparation. The staff at the the hotel was EXCELLENT! EXCELLENT EXCELLENT!

The hotel is a classic and in an amazing location. I think because of the demand that the hotel has. They really don’t honor or try to honor any EXPEDIA VIP benefits. I wasn’t really offered any upgrade, and I was initially told that all rooms were sold out. After I wasn’t happy with one of the rooms, they ended up showing me 4 other potential options. It seemed a bit disingenuous. This isn’t what I was expecting for this kind of hotel. If they don’t want to honor any EXPEDIA benefits, then why even have an affiliation. I felt bad for the staff because it seems as if this was a decision made from the higher ups. The overall staff was nothing short of excellent.

First time in Barcelona and this was a great pick for a hotel, location was perfect we walked everywhere despite the heat. The room was a great size, bed was comfy, the breakfast was amazing. Air con worked well. What set it above a lot of hotels was the staff, they all need raises they truly were exemplarary from front door/ concierge/ reception /housekeeping / breakfast wait staff. All went over an above. Thank you for an amazing stay in Barcelona. Highly recommend this hotel

We loved the Monument Hotel in Barcelona. The staff was especially courteous and helpful. Our room was very comfortable with a small step-out terrace that allowed us to occasionally “people watch” on the street below and get a feel of the neighborhood vibe. The location was excellent adjacent to the high end shops and one of the Gaudi buildings. Taxi service was quick and easy through the hotel. Highly recommended!

Toppenfint hotell och läget är perfekt om man gillar shopping och god mat. En trevlig takbar där man kan ta något gott att dricka. Det enda minuset var väl baren nere vid lobbyn som var dödstyst (ingen musik) och ingen mysig stämning. Men drinkarna var goda.
Toppenfint hotell och läget är perfekt om man gillar shopping och god mat. En trevlig takbar där man kan ta något gott att dricka. Det enda minuset var väl baren nere vid lobbyn som var dödstyst (ingen musik) och ingen mysig stämning. Men drinkarna var goda.
