Avoid this hotel at all costs! It is far from a 4 star as advertised. I arrived and the rooms are incredibly dirty. When I asked to change the other room they showed me was worse. I knew I wouldn’t be getting the amenities many hotels give, but the cleanliness was what made me want to leave. The rooftop terrace which is mainly why I booked this hotel was under renovation and unable to use. Even after I confirmed my booking 3 days prior there was no mention of this. The breakfast is a rip off, avoid this too. I was told my booking included this then they asked for more money upon arrival. I also found a camera in the bathroom which violates so many things. As a solo female traveller I felt unsafe. The manager also showed me upon check-in where he hides the master keys in case I lose mine and there is no reception. That’s scary as other guests know this and anyone could have metered my room. The safe was broken and they didn’t fix as promised. I had a jacket and an envelope that was hidden in my backpack taken and the manager tried to accuse me of lying. Overall terrible experience. I ended up losing the money and having to book another hotel elsewhere. Expedia is being very helpful and trying to help me get my money back.

The hotel is 200 meters from the main square. This also means that it can get busy & loud under your balcony. The staff is supernice and helpful. The terrace on the top has a stunning view. The room was spacious, well equipped, very comfortable bed. The free drinks are a nice touch, esp. the coffee was top quality. The spa was not working. The room's walls and the floor are worn-out and dirty from the using, needs redoing. Despite this the room was cleaned every day, and I found a tidy place every afternoon.

Centrally located, great comfy bed, we stayed a couple of nights and we enjoyed the experience. We had a free bottle of wine that was promptly delivered after chatting with an Expedia representative. The hotel did not have our VIP status at the beginning, but the issue got easily solved. They have parking available at a nearby location - about 8 minute walk - for an extra 15€.

Der Duschkopf war schrecklich und wurde schon lange nicht mehr gereinigt. Hatte viele weisse und schwarze Kalkablagerung. Ansonsten war die Suite sehr schön. Sehr zentral gelegen und nette Belegschaft.

The room had NO HOT WATER to shower in the morning before leaving for our flight. No one to call because no one at desk until 8:30am. I believe there was an emergency number but o doubt they would have been able to get hot water in less than an hour.

The property is in an excellent location. The staff was extremely helpful and kind. Unfortunately, the property is also very run down. Burned out light bulbs, dirty pillowcases, poor lighting in the bathroom, mosquitoes in the room, noisy elevator before 5:00 a.m., light fixture falling off of the wall near the bed, and breakfast preparation was really loud before 6:00 a.m. every morning I woke up very early, even though I didn't want to. This hotel needs a lot of attention. The walls were dirty. There are huge discrepancies between the rooms. Some rooms are very tiny and other rooms are bigger. The beds are really really uncomfortable.

Alles super, leider hat es immer Zimmer muffig gerochen. Vermutlich hat es an einigen Stellen geschummelt. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hat sich sehr viel Mühe gegeben sowohl an der Rezeption als auch am Frühstücksbüffet. Auch das Reinigungsteam war sehr freundlich.

The hotel is in a good location, close to all major sights, with local shopping and restaurants just outside. We reserved a suite, which is spacious. However, there is a sewage smell that seems to be masked by strong perfumes. The faucet in the sink won’t close properly unless you hit it quite hard. The large round bed takes up most of the walking space in the bedroom, and I have some concerns about the clearance of the big red comforter. The bathroom is very small and quite old. The trim in the shower stall was disgustingly moldy. Additionally, the door doesn’t lock unless you pull it hard. Overall, this will not be a hotel I will return.

This property feels like it's been updated in some parts. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The bathroom looks like it may be the part they didn't upgrade on, they smelled musty. Besides the bathrooms the place is a very nice choice to stay in. It's very central and walkable to all the highlights to see in the city. The staff was very friendly and helpful too. I would stay at this property again!

We enjoyed our stay, staff were friendly and helpful. Room was roomy and we were pleased. Downside is the room was on the corner of the building next to the street market so it was very noisy and difficult to sleep. People out late, kids playing in the night, market starts set up at 4a. If your a lite sleeper like me had very little sleep. Airport shuttle was to be 40 euro, when the driver dropped us off he charged us 50 euro, extra for city tax. Our ride to hotel was 40 euro so we know he cheated us. Otherwise nice stay.

The room was modern and spacious and the staff was friendly and helpful. The rooftop patio was closed for renovation so I did not get to enjoy that, but the view from my balcony over the main street leading to the cathedral was excellent! The hotel was right in the heart of everything! Would definitely stay again!

Rommet var rent og pent, men veldig lytt. Fest i gata på utsiden hele uka til langt på natt så mye støy. Takterrassen var veldig fin, men mye fuglebæsj på bord og stoler.

This boutique hotel is in a great central location and only a few hundred meters to the fish market and the main square and church. However the rooms are very small. My 6 ft husband couldn’t stand up in half of the room and kept hitting his head on the roof beams. The bed is only a double. I would look for something close by but with bigger rooms.

L emplacement est parfait. L hôtel est rénové. Passé cela, 25m2 annoncés, certainement pas en loi Carrez. Clim qui ne fonctionne pas tout en faisant un boucan d enfer: 25 degrés nuit et jour dans la chambre, même avec la fenêtre laissée ouverte. Literie de mauvaise qualité. J avais pris l option petit déjeuner, à quasiment 15e par jour: aucun intérêt (essentiellement que des produits sucrés et transformés). N.B.: une bouteille de vin offerte par l établissement était annoncée au moment de la réservation, nous n en avons pas vu la couleur. Pour résumer, mauvais rapport qualité prix.

The staff were absolutely amazing and super helpful. The hotel needs a refurb throughout.The roof terrace has a great view of the Duomo but it’s a neglected space which could be turned into something lovely for guests to enjoy. The biggest issue for all of our group was the noise from the surrounding bars late at night and into the early hours.

The hotel needs a refurb throughout.The roof terrace has a great view of the Duomo but it’s a neglected space which could be turned into something lovely for guests to enjoy. The biggest issue for all of our group was the noise from the surrounding bars late at night and into the early hours.

The room had NO HOT WATER to shower in the morning before leaving for our flight. No one to call because no one at desk until 8:30am. I believe there was an emergency number but o doubt they would have been able to get hot water in less than an hour.

Centrally located perfect to get a real feel of being in Italy. If you like to walk to local shopping, a cafe or to a bar….this hotel is right in the middle of everything. I stayed on a Monday-Thursday. At night you can hear music from local bars etc. It stopped around midnight. So if you’re a light sleeper and go to bed early….this could be an issue. Room was clean and was functional. The room was LARGE. Staff was very friendly and spoke fluent English which helped me a lot. I normally stay at Hilton Hotels but wanted to try something different this trip. Glad I did!

Avoid this hotel at all costs! It is far from a 4 star as advertised. I arrived and the rooms are incredibly dirty. When I asked to change the other room they showed me was worse. I knew I wouldn’t be getting the amenities many hotels give, but the cleanliness was what made me want to leave. The rooftop terrace which is mainly why I booked this hotel was under renovation and unable to use. Even after I confirmed my booking 3 days prior there was no mention of this. The breakfast is a rip off, avoid this too. I was told my booking included this then they asked for more money upon arrival. I also found a camera in the bathroom which violates so many things. As a solo female traveller I felt unsafe. The manager also showed me upon check-in where he hides the master keys in case I lose mine and there is no reception. That’s scary as other guests know this and anyone could have metered my room. The safe was broken and they didn’t fix as promised. I had a jacket and an envelope that was hidden in my backpack taken and the manager tried to accuse me of lying. Overall terrible experience. I ended up losing the money and having to book another hotel elsewhere. Expedia is being very helpful and trying to help me get my money back.

The hotel was in the middle of the tourist attraction so location is good. The price which we would expect free admission into the spa facility but it wasn’t the case. Breakfast was mediocre. To sum up, not great value for money I am afraid to say.

Prendere il sole in terrazza e guardare i fuochi d'artificio di capodanno è stata un'esperienza unica. La vista dal quarto su piazza Duomo, l'Etna e il mare (che si intravede) è davvero unica. La camera è ampia e divisa in tre ambienti: soggiorno/cucina, camera da letto e bagno. Le camere affacciate sul retro sono tranquille e il riposo notturno è assicurato. Camera bella, ma un po' spoglia. Le informazioni forniteci dalla reception sono state soddisfacenti. L'area intorno alla struttura è abbastanza sicura, anche di notte. Unica pecca dell'albergo è la colazione, che può essere servita in camera (come scelto da noi) oppure in terrazza. Purtroppo la mancanza del buffet si sente. I prodotti sono sicuramente in quantità accettabile, ma di qualità scarsa: baguette tipo supermercato, mortadella e prosciutto provenienti dalla busta, formaggio di tipo emmental o galbanino, frutta portata intera (kiwi, mela) e la spremuta non è fresca, ma tipo ACE. Il tutto servito in piatti e tazze di plastica. Diciamo che su questo punto si può farer meglio. I biscotti dell'ultimo giorno, però, fatti a mano dalla gentile signora, erano veramente buoni. Bisognerebbe puntare di più su prodotti locali.

Nice location, walking distance to everywhere in center of Catania. Top roof terrace you can see Mt. Etna and Duomo. All rooms have Italian movie titles. Large space, we only stayed one night but this is the great hotel to stay long term. The breakfast area, a lady called Giusy was excellent. Very attentive. All the staff were very helpful and attentive. Right by the local market, nice to see their daily living. Great restaurants around. In the market, you can get local spices in great price. Definitely recommend this hotel.

J avais pris l option petit déjeuner, à quasiment 15e par jour: aucun intérêt (essentiellement que des produits sucrés et transformés). My room was facing an open street terrace with the extreme late night noise and a farmers market for the very early setup noise. Couple this with garbage/recycing pickup and street cleanup at 4am, it impossible to sleep because the windows are not soundproof. During daytime the room is much quieter…

There is no one at the front desk from 10am to 8am. The street noise level, at lease in some rooms, is very loud. I was surprised the room did not come with a noise machine and ear plugs. One source stated airport shuttle - no such shuttle - they call you a taxi. The room itself is very very basic - nothing luxurious.
