Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott San Antonio Brooks City Base

Room was clean. Hotel parking felt safe. Area was ok close to several stores and places to eat. Bed was mid. Pool was mid. Breakfast was mid. Front desk person at night was very efficient and nice. Didn’t catch her name. Morning person was not as friendly. The only problem during the stay was the pool times. The sign by the pool says open from 6am to 11pm but when we called and asked the front desk they said 10 am. Since we didn’t go check the door prior to 10. Not sure who was telling the truth, the sign or the front desk person, but we waited around like an hour and maybe we could’ve gone in the pool earlier but went off what front desk stated.

I liked that the staff were friendly and outgoing. The outside of the building, as well as the lobby, were both very well kept/maintained. The pool looks much bigger on the website due to creative camera angles. In reality it is a large hot tub. The room was clean, but smelled like someone had been smoking in it previously. It was supposed to be a non smoking room. We did not ask to change rooms but did inform the front desk so that we did not get charged a cleaning fee for smoking in the room. Room service did not come and empty the trash. There were five people, including a baby which means diapers, staying in the room, so the trash overfilled quickly. Also had to call for more wash clothes as were provided a whopping 2 wash clothes. This is a decent looking property and the staff is friendly enough, but the small things matter when you're traveling with small children. So having a room that actually is non smoking, the trash removed daily, and the towels & washcloths replaced daily are important. If these services aren't standard practice then guest should be informed that they'll need to call the front desk and ask for trash pick up and washcloth & towel replacement. I would stay here again, but would definitely remember to call every morning and ask for trash take out etc. (final note; the receptionist was friendly and offered to let us change rooms to a cleaner/non smoked in room, and towel replacement was quick when called for)

We had nowhere to park. The parking lot was full of big work trucks and a bus. Then, at 1 this morning there was a big ruckus next door at the Lowe’s parking lot. (Not the hotels fault) not a very restful stay. The hotel is nice and clean though. Give 5 stars for that.

The property was so clean. We enjoyed the free breakfast, and they have a smaller nice and clean pool. The rooms were a good size. Not big or small. They have a microwave and small fridge in the room. The staff was nice. They checked us in quickly. Free parking too. There are lots of restaurants within walking distance and a Walmart across the street. This is our second time here, and both times were great.

Everything was great! I do wish they had more laundry because they only had one set and with a line of people who forget to get their clothes after 30 mins

This was a very well kept hotel with decent beds. The team was friendly and attentive. My only complaint was that the pool was cold-Freezing. The area is between fast food, construction, and warehouse areas. It’s convenient to freeway and travel but not walkable to anything except 1 fast food restaurant. It is not convenient to Downtown San Antonio.

We stayed for two nights and the hotel was decent overall. Not great but decent. The property was dated but mostly clean, parking adequate, situated by a freeway surrounded by stores and restaurants. The downside of course is traffic and the freeway noise which we heard all night. The mattress was extremely firm and the refrigerator froze all of our food. The clock radio would randomly make a static noise unprompted, so we ended up unplugging it to sleep. We also had ants in our bathroom the entire time. We’ve definitely had better stays elsewhere but it was fine for a short stay. Longer than a couple of days and I’d spring for a nicer room elsewhere.

I've had to travel a lot due to my job, this was one of the nicer hotels I've stayed at. The staff were very nice and professional. The waiting areas were spacious, the dining area doubles as a work area and there's access to printers. The gym and pool looked great. The room itself was in prestine condition and very spacious. The only downside is traffic. To get to the road the hotel is on, you have to bypass a busy street, which always has traffic. That said, the area itself has plenty of places to eat and shop, within waking distance. A bonus is that Dowtown San Antonio is only 5 to 10 minutes down the highway. I highly recommend this location and plan to stay here again.

Avoid first floor rooms. Strong pool smells and some ants. Besides that it was a good stay.

We found a great deal at this location. Extremely clean and close to Sam’s, Walmart and places to eat. Comfortable beds for a good nights rest before heading out to our next destination.

The lobby smells moldy and the room smelled like an old dog. The bathroom floor and carpet wasn’t clean. The armchair was so stained and dirty that I wouldn’t even put my purse on it. The lighting was extremely poor to apply makeup.

Friendly staff. Lots of breakfast options. Clean. Very reasonably priced. Would stay there again!

Clean rooms friendly staff

The room had bugs in the bed, when it was bought up to management we were advised that they were "sugar ants" . There was no refund available or discount due to booking through Hotels.com i was advised.

Great breakfast, very clean property. Pool was clean and available until 11pm.

The carpet in the room we had was soaking wet and we found eaten chicken bones under the bed. The hospitality and management are unprofessional.

Somehow the pillow covers and bed sheets are not smell good. Also AC unit thermostat is not in good condition. Not able to adjust the properly. Other than those, service and staff are good.

Good location if you plan to go downtown since it was only a 15 min drive. Place was clean and the staff were friendly. Nice showers and appliances worked well.

This is one of the better hotels that I have stayed in while in San Antonio. Friendly staff, large rooms, and comfortable beds. I am looking forward to staying there again.

Seriously is a great place to stay with very nice staff. Nice and spacious rooms as well, and the bathroom was very clean!

its a great place, very clean, the Gym its great!! the room was very confortable, during my stay we had a lightining storm and we had a couple of blackouts during the night, and my AC reset making it very cold and the WIFI didnt worked, It seems they had an issue to getting the server back on, everything else was great!

The rooms (suite) were big compared to others we stayed in. Didn’t like the refrigerator in the room it froze my medication

The hotel is ok. But the air conditioning in the room was Too noisy that it didn't let us sleep.

Stayed a night for a short trip, I came a little late so had to park a little far but totally understandable. Room is spacious, clean, bed and pillows are comfy. TV has a lot of channels, especially Netflix & Youtube. Check-in and check-out was very easy. Staffs were super nice and welcoming. Definitely recommend this hotel!

Great place. They accept packages for you, you get free breakfast, everything is super clean, the internet is fast to do some useful work. I love this place.

Staff was rude

Concierge or manager on duty was very helpful, professional, and explained hotels rules in an extremely polite manner. We even received a phone call about 15 mins after check in to insure our room was as expected and if we needed any additional toiletries, bedding, or towels.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. One thing I didn’t like was that they double booked our room and the two options given to us didn’t really suit us but we had to chose one

stay away from this place!!!!, They said it is a Marriot but they are just a franchise! I booked this hotel through Hotels.com for 2-night stay with pay at the facility. As I reached the Hitel I find my booking was done for 3 nights. I called Hotels.com and they said they will refund the money if the Hotel agrees to the extra night. I talked to a manager at the lobby in the night and he said, they can refund it and ask Hotels.com to make a call. The next morning I connected with Hotels.com and they made the request there was another lady there and she won't cancel the third night because I started my stay and rates are negotiated for 3 nights. I can clearly see Hotels.com have various price for each night of my stay and I'm also a Bonvoy member! She refused to refund me and argued with me that she is just a franchise and that not all Marriot have the same cancellation policy!! that was ridiculous, this is not the first time I changed my bookings in Marriot I never had such a rude customer experience. Now the story didn't end there, after my first day of stay, My room was not cleaned, I thought it was the first day, and the next day I went outside and came back around 3 PM, the room still not cleaned! I went downstairs and again that lady manager there started arguing with me showing the work chart that I put a "no cleaning" sign on my door. It was not me and I requested her to clean since I was going out. I came back by 10PM and room left uncleaned! stay away from this place!

Check in was wonderful but the front desk person at checkout was rude. Went to load our luggage at 9 am and our key to get back into the hotel and our room no longer worked. Had a cleaning lady come in the room without knocking before we checked out.

Front desk staff was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The accommodations were excellent.

The customer service was outstanding. Never have I had someone from the front desk. Call me after I’ve checked to ensure that everything was to my liking. Customer service outstanding.

Walkable to Sam's Club, Wal-Mart and other stores. Property is adjacent to freeway and can be very noisy at night Good breakfast. Friendly staff.

The Fairfield Suites at Brooks City Base was very clean and the service was geeat. The location waa walking distance from a shopping center with a Walmart. It also was near a lot of restraunts. 10 minutes from downtown. Hoghly recommend. The only issue was with the traffic light on Military that turns left onto Goliad where hotel was located. I sat in the left turning lane almost 10 minutes before it turned green. For the remainder of my stay I continued straight on Military past Goliad and made a left at the next light going around the Walmart. Much quicker.

I stay at that Hotel when in San Antonio. Stores all around the area. And the Hotel is very clean with a great staff.

Very nice, well maintained. Check in was simple, breakfast had the basics. It’s a very safe area and there’s plenty of shopping and food in the area plus it’s easily accessible to main roads. Definitely would stay here again!

The hotel was very clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was acceptable for my family of 5 (3 kids), of course, it could have been better for us adults, but no complaints!!

The stay was good. We asked for room service and even tipped the last, but she didn't even vacuum. Cheez it crumbs from my kiddo were still there. She didn't make the beds. Idk but that was disappointing. The breakfast was decent, but bacon wasn't an option either way and my son was upset as he doesn't eat sausage. The rooms are super clean. Beds are comfy. My husband really likes it.
