Venetian styled oasis! Glorious baths in your hotel room with epic views of Mt. Fuji. Free shuttle rides to Kawaguchiko station daily. The best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Excellent amenities. Excellent private and public onsens. Quiet. Calm. Relaxing. I slept like a. Baby for 13 hours after a massage and two hours at the onsen. Great breakfast too!!! Incredible stay.

Great mountain view in unit, convenient access to your own hot tub as well as public and private baths. It's a short walk away from the shore of lake Kawaguchi, where you can find great spots for photos of mount fuji. We had a very comfortable stay here.

The property location is stunning as you can probably see. The lobby has a lounge with view of Mt. Fuji. With welcome drinks and free coffee, it’s the perfect place to chill. The private onsens are a nice touch with 5 different rooms to try. I preferred to sit in the hot tub in my room to have the view of Fujisan though. The only downside of this place is that there is only French restuarant with a set menu. It would have been better if it was Alacarte. There are no nearby restaurants so I ended up skipping dinner that night, luckily there is a breakfast buffet which I recommend! This is the perfect place to take in the beautiful view and relax!

Hotel was great but the spa was not. My friend and I booked 120 minute massages. The quality of the massage was okay but the massage was cut 10 minutes short and the masseuse left for 15 minutes during the facial part. They put a face mask on us then left the room for 15 minutes. We would hear them in the other room and it sounded like the were cleaning up and trying to close up early as this was we were their last of the night. I checked the time when we were done and it was 5 minutes short as well. We paid for 2 hours and the massage part only lasted about an hour. Unacceptable to cut it short and to leave the room without saying anything for 15 minutes in the middle of the massage.

Beautiful hotel with a magnificent view of Mt Fuji. It is a grand yellow hotel nestled in the hillside so the hotel itself is quite picturesque. We booked a room with a private indoor onsen with a spectacular view of the Mt Fuji from the room including from the onsen. The water was hot and relaxing and the hotel has free bath salts of several fragrances to add to the water. The breakfast is quite good with a large variety of food. Dinner also has a lot of variety and quantity. It is not directly in Kawaguchiko and is about a 15 minute drive away from the station with a free hotel shuttle to and from the station. Definitely worth it for the view.

The property is half-way up a little hill so it's very quiet. The rooms and dining room have an excellent view of Mt. Fuji. Our room (2 twin beds) is of a good decent size and has a bath tub and balcony facing Mt. Fuji. Buffet breakfast has both Japanese and Western dishes - lots of choices and very tasty. There is also a free late night snack of ramen. There are also 5 private baths and one public bath. All very well maintained and clean. Service is impeccable. Would definitely stay again and recommend this to my friends.

We booked this hotel for its view of Mt. Fuji which it delivered. Besides that, this hotel is average at best. It’s a very old facility. It seems like you can’t control the AC in your room, after asking them they might enable it for you, but then the AC unit would not give any cool air, just warm. You would be spending thousands of dollars, but they don’t even help moving some items for your comfort. The cleanliness was also subpar, as you would see mold in the shower.
We booked this hotel for its view of Mt. Fuji which it delivered. Besides that, this hotel is average at best. It’s a very old facility. The staff were very hospitable and kind. The rooms were dusty, but clean overall. The most beautiful view of Mt Fuji with the open air bath tub on the balcony. We loved our stay. Food was okay, very very expensive but was worth it.

Wonderful views, great staff. Just a little quirky for us. Not very comfortable mattresses or pillows so struggling to get a good night's sleep. However dinner was superb how to rates this place... to some I can understand its high however at the price there's better, maybe just without the views.

Comfortable, good location with shuttle to get/from Kawaguchiko, and lovely staff. We had a great view of Mount Fuji, 4 different types of slippers (!), in-room amenities including coffee beans that you could grind yourself, and a lovely tub with a view.

La Vista is set quite high up so if you're coming on the tourist bus (red line near stop 17) like us it's a bit of a mountain goat trek up the hill. If you have heavy bags it would be advisable to get a taxi. But when you get to the hotel the view is awesome. I think all the rooms have a view, and we were lucky that Mt Fuji was visible and the day was lovely. The bathroom and balcony overlook the settlement below and the mountain. The rooms are quite traditional but comfortable and clean. Ours had twin beds which were quite firm but I think this is standard for Japan. The TV had no English speaking channels so that was a waste of space. The staff were nice but most had poor English so there was a bit of confusion with a few things. We were told there was a light meal served in the bar at 6pm but when we went down there it was only a selection of 3 biscuits so poorly described (more "afternoon tea"). The restaurant was fully booked so we didn't really eat that night. The breakfast was quite varied but more traditionally focussed than for Westerners. There were enough options but it was definitely aimed at locals not tourists. Again tho, our main reason for booking the hotel was for the view, which was excellent. So all up I think we were happy with the choice and the view lived up to expectations.

Every member of the staff except one, was kind, polite and helpful. The manager declined to allow me to eat dinner because i had no reservation. There are no other restaurants nearby. And he said getting a cab would take awhile. I am a 62 year old person with back and hip issues. Instead of finding a solution he sent me down a very steep road to the 7-11 2 miles away. This is an expense resort and there was no explaintion that dining in the hotel was the only option. I was embarrassed and disrespected by only one person. Otherwise it would have been a lovely visit.

Comfortable, good location with shuttle to get/from Kawaguchiko, and lovely staff. We had a great view of Mount Fuji, 4 different types of slippers (!), in-room amenities including coffee beans that you could grind yourself, and a lovely tub with a view.

We showed up for the Mt. Fuji marathon and paid a higher than normal price to stay here. We arrived at 5PM and asked to have dinner and they said no because the dining room is full. However, We had friends who checked in before us who went to dinner and confirmed it was actually not full at all. We then asked what we can eat or if there was room service. They said that most things are closed and we have to take a taxi to all of them anyways. For the marathon the following day we asked for help getting a taxi to the start and they were of no help. We saw a hotel car and they said they don't start service until after the marathon had started and the return service was hours after the marathon had ended. They told us to walk ...5KM in the morning of the marathon and back. Just so that it's clear, I had emailed them multiple times leading up to arrival and no response. I assumed (incorrectly) that they'd at least have food available for hotel guests and since there was a shuttle and many marathon runners were staying there the shuttle would run. But nope. It was the worst stay on my entire trip to japan.

Excellent Hotel. The view of Mt Fuji is breathtaking (subject to weather). Hotel runs a shuttle service but we’re also very accommodating with regard to bus information, booking a taxi etc. The onsens are a nice touch as are the outdoor baths in the rooms. I would recommend going half board as the evening meal was great value for money

Good services with reasonable room prices. Our room comes with complementary breakfast and dinner, and dinner menus are different on each day. Great view of Mt. Fuji from our balcony and also in suite private Onsen! The only negative is the decor is a little dated. Also on our departure day the Fujisan Marathon was held and most main roads were closed. So we asked if the hotel can drop us at the train station earlier than the shuttle schedule which they agreed and sent a private car to take us there. We literally just for there as the train doors were closing! This is excellent service although the staff could have warned us thee day before to reserve more time, as they must have known the marathon beforehand!

The location is not that convenient,a little bit far from the center,and we didn’t know there was an reservation needed for the dinner, we have to walked down the hotel to get the dinner,and the restaurant within walking distance all closed at 7:00 pm,we walk back to the hotel to get instant cup noodles instead.

We loved our stay at La Vista. Was blown away by the view of Mt Fuji from our balcony even though it was a bit of a cloudy day. Welcome drink + coffee machine in the lobby with a view of the moutain is superb! Loved the private onsens as well. Did not try the public female/male ones. Room was very spacious and luxurious even with an extra adult and toddler in tow. We had a hire car (highly recomend for the Lake Kawaguchiko area) otherwise the hotel does have a courtesy bus at various times. It is a bit of a splurge staying here but well worth it. A highlight of our trip!

La Vista is set quite high up so if you're coming on the tourist bus (red line near stop 17) like us it's a bit of a mountain goat trek up the hill. If you have heavy bags it would be advisable to get a taxi. But when you get to the hotel the view is awesome. I think all the rooms have a view, and we were lucky that Mt Fuji was visible and the day was lovely. The bathroom and balcony overlook the settlement below and the mountain. The rooms are quite traditional but comfortable and clean. Ours had twin beds which were quite firm but I think this is standard for Japan. The TV had no English speaking channels so that was a waste of space. The staff were nice but most had poor English so there was a bit of confusion with a few things. We were told there was a light meal served in the bar at 6pm but when we went down there it was only a selection of 3 biscuits so poorly described (more "afternoon tea"). The restaurant was fully booked so we didn't really eat that night. The breakfast was quite varied but more traditionally focussed than for Westerners. There were enough options but it was definitely aimed at locals not tourists. Again tho, our main reason for booking the hotel was for the view, which was excellent. So all up I think we were happy with the choice and the view lived up to expectations.

Stunning view of Mount Fuji. Hotel is very isolated and unless you have a car you will struggle to find anything. Staff at the hotel found it very amusing that we couldn’t beaccommodated for dinner and there’s is nothing to buy in the hotel.

Gorgeous! Great size room with an amazing view of Mount Fuji and a bath on the balcony (very private). The staff is absolutely lovely and they will do anything for you to have a memorable and incredible stay. They have so many freebies as well (juice, wine, snacks, ramen). There is a full amenity section as well in case you need anything. The only caveat (which they tell you in the confirmation email) is that there isn’t a lot around and the restaurants close early, they do offer dinner on site which you need to reserve ahead of time. We had a little walk around and went to Lawson to grab some snacks (which is 20 minutes away on foot).

Love the hotel, could not have a better location of viewing Mt Fuji and Lake Kawaguchiko. Beautiful architecture. Fabulous rooms and amenities. HOWEVER, my husband and I were very disappointed, slightly shocked, that we could not be seated for dinner when checking in at 630pm. The hotel staff knew from email communication that we had traveled all day because we pre-booked the last shuttle. Hotel location away from town does not have other options for guests (without their own car) to find a meal. The front desk staff and dining room hostess would not even check to see if we could pay for a plate of rice!! Management should plan for new guests to be saved a few seats for dinner.

The property location is stunning as you can probably see. The lobby has a lounge with view of Mt. Fuji. With welcome drinks and free coffee, it’s the perfect place to chill. The private onsens are a nice touch with 5 different rooms to try. I preferred to sit in the hot tub in my room to have the view of Fujisan though. The only downside of this place is that there is only French restuarant with a set menu. It would have been better if it was Alacarte. There are no nearby restaurants so I ended up skipping dinner that night, luckily there is a breakfast buffet which I recommend! This is the perfect place to take in the beautiful view and relax!

Beautiful hotel with a magnificent view of Mt Fuji. It is a grand yellow hotel nestled in the hillside so the hotel itself is quite picturesque. We booked a room with a private indoor onsen with a spectacular view of the Mt Fuji from the room including from the onsen. The water was hot and relaxing and the hotel has free bath salts of several fragrances to add to the water. The breakfast is quite good with a large variety of food. Dinner also has a lot of variety and quantity. It is not directly in Kawaguchiko and is about a 15 minute drive away from the station with a free hotel shuttle to and from the station. Definitely worth it for the view.

Overall an excellent experience! The food to die for. We had half-board and really enjoyed the breakfast and kaiseki dinner. The free onsen, free snacks, daily wine tasting... We had it all. And of course, the breathtaking views of the Mt. Fuji right from our balcony.

The hotel itself is clean, the rooms are a reasonable size, the facilities are good and the breakfast is very good with plenty of variety (even for my wife who is vegan). We used the private sauna / Onsen facilities every day. (you cannot use the public Onsen / Sauna facilities if you have tattoos). we walked a lot locally and ran 5 - 10km every morning on the lakeside which was very nice. My only complaint which isn't a deal breaker is that there are no laundry facilities. As I try to travel light when travelling across a country for a long period of time, I rely on laundry facilities a lot. As this was our last stop before flying home, it wasn't too much of an issue. Would I book again? YES - WITHOUT DOUBT. Oh...and free wine between 3pm and 7pm.
