Me and boyfriend stayed here for two nights for our city break. Great stay!.. from the moment we walked in staff were very helpful and welcoming! Rooms were clean and spacious and the hotel pillows were to die for!. Breakfast had a great selection of cold and hot food!. Great location too!.. only let down was we booked the hotel for its roof top pool and when going to use it, it was out of order and was a building site. This was not told to us on arrival, we found this out on the 3rd day!… however it did not ruin our holiday!

Great location, friendly staff and incredible room (junior suite). Very comfortable and spacious with a balcony and amazing view of Casa Batllo. Transit, both bus and train located just across the street. Restaurants and sports bar across the street as well. The room cleaning was definitely lacking, the floors were filthy and not cleaned the whole time we were there, or prior to us arriving, especially noticeable in the bathroom. No stocking up of the (instant) coffee or clean glasses. We made sure to clean everything before we used it and opted to using our own cups we’d brought from home. The pool is very shallow but comfortable temperature, got quite busy at times for the size. Pool deck is falling apart and has some quite loose boards around as well as loose stairs to get in and out. Overall, loved our stay and the fabulous location. A bit disappointed in the cleanliness but should have asked for further cleaning.

The hotel is ideally located in the city center; however, the rooms are small and inconvenient. The housekeeping staff tends to be quite noisy, as their supply room is situated near the guest rooms, leading to frequent loud openings and closings of the door. On a positive note, the reception service was excellent. Unfortunately, the TV channels were limited, and we were charged extra for additional channels. The paid breakfast was just average. Overall, for a four-star hotel, I expected much more! Also, the swimming pool is quite small—more like a hot tub—and seems designed to deceive people through its pictures.

Small odd shaped bathroom, Service wise they were all very friendly and accomodating but had to ask 3 times and took over an hour to have a bottle of water refilled..a service they promote. Ticket also wasn’t validated for neighbouring public carpark causing angst on exit. Note neighbouring car park a big asset. Wasn’t a bad stay…more just an average. Think reasonable value but hard to compare..

No to Room Mate Anna - Barcelona I am a long-time admirer of Room Mate Hotels and have enjoyed staying at their properties around the world. However, after my recent experience at Room Mate Anna, I have decided to exclude it from my future travel plans. Here are my reasons 1.Room Layout and Design: The furniture arrangement is highly impractical. I had to remove the desk chair to create enough space to move to the bathroom. Additionally, one of the closets could not be fully opened because of the commode positioned too close to the bed. 2.Lighting Issues: The room lighting is extremely dim, making it difficult to see properly after sunset. It was so inconvenient that I had to pack my luggage a day early to take advantage of daylight. 3.Cleanliness and Flooring: The flooring was poorly maintained and dirty, far below the standards I have come to expect from Room Mate properties. 4.Air Conditioning: The air conditioning was ineffective and did not cool the room properly. 5.Bed Linen: Upon arrival, the bedsheets, pillowcases, and covers were not properly cleaned or changed. I had to request a complete change of the bedding the following day. Overall, I have never encountered such issues at any other Room Mate property. While the breakfast was satisfactory and the staff were professional and attentive, these positives are not enough to bring me back to Room Mate Anna.

We stayed for 3 nights prior to a Mediterranean cruise. What a delightful hotel. Staff is courteous and very helpful. We had a Jr suite with balcony, with a view of Casa Baltto. Lots to do within walking distance and safe neighborhood.

I must have been unlucky with the two rooms available. Both were very dark with virtually no natural light. The noise of the metro rumble and rattle every 5 mins and the sound of running water from the plumbing/drains from the rooms above. Awful experience

Lovely stay at Room Mate Anna. Stylish comfortable rooms (we had a Deluxe Double) with a pretty balcony. Roof terrace was open during our stay in January and we enjoyed the views over the city. Perfectly positioned to explore the different parts of the city and to get to and from the airport. Everyone was really friendly and efficient. Recommended.

Amazing location and nice staff. Avoid the first floor rooms, the whole room vibrates every time the metro goes by underground. Room felt small and cramped around the bed. The shower was awesome.

absolutely lovely hotel - great location, fabulous towels, showers and really comfy beds and brilliant breakfast. Do not recommend the basic room as it looks over (not a courtyard) a lift shaft - we woke up in the morning not able to even see daylight, very claustrophobic and disorienting. Pictures on the website are a little misleading but I would otherwise highly recommend this hotel

I don’t usually leave reviews, but our experience at Room Mate Anna was so wonderful that I felt I had to share. After a long, exhausting flight from the USA, we arrived at 7 AM with a toddler and a school-age child. The summer heat and travel took a lot out of us, but thanks to Mauro and the team allowing us to check in early, we were able to rest and feel so much better right away. We truly appreciated their kindness and flexibility—it made a big difference for our family. The location is fantastic—close to everything and very convenient, which was perfect for exploring the city. The atmosphere was welcoming, and we felt right at home. A big thank you to everyone, especially Mauro, for going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We would definitely recommend Room Mate Anna and look forward to returning!

The stay would have been fantastic if it was not the rude, offensive, racist behaviour of one of the staff, Marion. My family and I will never stay and never recommend Room Mate Anna because of that person. She ruined our stay just the last day of our stay but it really overshadowed the rest of the stay and the staff. No hotel should have such an agressive staff. I may have questioned some bills but I believe it is in the right of a client who paid multiple thousand of euros for a stay. Please don’t make the same mistake and stay in a welcoming place where staff are professional.

hotel location is nice, hotel staff is very nice, friendly and helpful. breakfast is great. the only odd thing is when we check in and got our key and opened the door to our room, there’s already a suitcase inside, meaning the room is already occupied. really quite shock. the hôtel system should not have made such a mistake.

Hotel Anna is in a great location, walk out the front door and turn right you will see what I mean. Room was really comfortable and clean, a really liveable space. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Our hairdryer didn’t work and the front desk sent us one in less than 5 minutes. The breakfast was great. We have been to Barcelona 3 times and this was by far the best located hotel we stayed at.
