For us Bannisters was a mixed experience. The overall feel of the hotel is one of quality. The staff were universally friendly, helpful and efficient. The rooftop restaurant was excellent with a great ambience. The pool area was also a very pleasant place to spend some time though the pool itself was on the smaller side. So far so positive, but the room itself, whilst satisfactory, was not quite of the same quality.Wifi is provided by an unsecured network and signal strength is very variable throughout the hotel but poor in our room. Easily the worst of the 16 hotels we stayed in on this vacation. Some of the woodwork in the room was showing signs of wear and the white comfy chairs looked better than they were to sit in. The safe was inconveniently placed in a wall mounted cupboard and too small to take either my laptop or camera. Not so in similar quality hotels that we have stayed in this holiday. There had obviously been a problem with the bathroom door and the repair had clearly been done cheaply. The toilets, whilst superficially clean, had limescale both around the rim and at the bottom of the bowl. Perhaps what one might expect in a small scale motel not in one that operates in Bannister's intended market. To be fair, I must say that the room we stayed in 6 days later was much better but still starting to show its age.

The evening meal was the only disappointment; overpriced for what you got; however the next morning breakfast was great. Accomodation was of excellent standard and very clean on arrival. Off street parking with undercover protection for your vehicle was most welcome.

Bannister's Pavilion is a great option - well priced modern accommodation with a casual rooftop pool & restaurant & bar, located a short included transfer ride to the Main Hotel by the water and Rick Stein's terrific restaurant. Our third stay and we will be back!

We were really looking forward to staying at Bannisters Pavilion Mollymook for our baby moon, but unfortunately the experience was extremely disappointing. For nearly $700 a night, we expected a well-maintained, comfortable beautiful — instead, the hotel felt run down and not taken care of at all. There were cobwebs, stains on the carpet, and an overall sense that the room and hotel itself hadn’t been properly refreshed in a long time. The pool is tiny and facing the road. When we went up to the rooftop with the lounges they were all covered and had cobwebs all over them so was not nice or inviting to lounge around. The bathroom flooded after a simple shower, and we had to request a rubber mat just to be able to use it safely. Honestly, we’ve had far better accommodation at 2–3 star hotels for a fraction of the price. We don’t normally leave negative reviews, but this stay really missed the mark. For the cost, we expected so much more. Unfortunately, we wouldn’t return or recommend based on this experience.

Our king bedroom was clean and The rooftop bar and grill restaurant had great food and service for dinner but the first breakfast morning was frustrating. Some hiccup with their staff as it took forever to place the order, twice as long to receive it and then arrived wrong. 2nd morning was excellent. EV charging convenient and efficient. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

Beautiful room although we were woken at 7am by a lot of noise from not sure where! Sounded like maybe a laundry room or the kitchen. We made a complaint to front desk and the said next time we come we would get put on the lowest floor. Not sure that is helpful. Otherwise beautiful room

Dated hotel missing the luxury feel that is advertised. Bed was very comfy and staff were excellent - that saved our stay. Very loud road and rooms were not sound proof. Only told the week of our booking that the restaurant onsite was closed to a private event both nights of stay. Overall experience was not worth the price paid.

Dated hotel missing the luxury feel that is advertised. Bed was very comfy and staff were excellent - that saved our stay. Very loud road and rooms were not sound proof. Only told the week of our booking that the restaurant onsite was closed to a private event both nights of stay. Overall experience was not worth the price paid.

Nice hotel, lovely breakfast. Hotel knew it was my birthday as my husband had called up previously but noone said Happy Birthday to me from reception staff to staff in the restaurant. Just would of been nice that they acknowledged this as It was my birthday when we were staying.

Just enjoyed a 2 night stay at Bannisters Pavillion at Mollymook. Room was very comfortable and quiet. We were not on street side so not sure how noise is there. We had a lovely breakfast each day that was included. Plenty of options to suit most tastes. We also had a delughtful dinner at the rooftop bar and grill. I had a Balinese coconut curry with Baramundi and my husband had a steak dish, and grilled prawns. Delicious. We also walked to the beach for a swim as it was not very far from the hotel. There was a shuttle bus that went between Pavillion and Bannisters on the Sea if needed but didn't have time to check this out. All in all had a lovely few days and will be back again soon

Bannisters was comfortable and relaxed, with everything we needed. Even though we chose the cheaper room with a garden aspect, the outlook was lovely - rain forest. A highlight was an easy walk to Mollymok beach in the morning we saw dolphins and a sea eagle , with time to buy a coffee from the Bannisters coffe can before the checkout time if 10.30. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Good location and waitress staff (shame i didn’t get her name-brunette working Thursday night 8/05 )were fantastic at restaurant Food was ok and good range of drinks! Only thing - photos of the prawn Linguine shows whole fresh prawns not frozen peeled ones like a normal pub feed- perhaps let ppl know that fresh is unavailable whilst ordering

One of those trips to tick off the list. Dinner at the Rick Stein restaurant. We stayed at the Pavillion. Very comfy, a little dated now, needs USB points in the room. Main bar and restaurant top notch. Area is nice.

I informed admin staff via email and a wonderful lady at reception by the name of Jessica upgraded rooms for our wives & also left them a complementary bag of chocolates made by a local confectionery business.
