There isn’t much negative things to say about this hotel if any. 5* isn’t enough, needs to be more. Great location, lovely staff, great food, the the room is of the highest quality. I can not recommend this hotel for your stay more. The spa is also great, gym was perfect with Subhojit providing great PT. Everything about the room is perfect, be it the amenities, the bed, the shower. It all just works perfect.

One of the best experiences I have ever had at a hotel. Everything was impeccable. The staff were amazing. The food options and drinks were both plentiful and reasonably priced for a 5 star hotel. Executive lounge was a treat. You are treated like royalty here. JW Marriott in Kolkata is perfection. I hope they don’t change and would be more than happy to return here.

Kulsum was the best from the moment we stepped in, and her friendly welcoming persona, was embodied by all at JW from our hostess at the Top notch Asian restaurant to the Gym instructor….awesome stay, wish i could go back

I really was impressed with the JW. The rooms were new, beds comfortable, service was great in most areas like the breakfast area and the concierge. Very helpful and smooth business stay. Just the bar was lacking in service. Great place to stay in Kolkata. 25 min from the airport. My driver Ranjun was great and drove me around to various appointments for the day. He was excellent.

Large clean rooms with good HVAC system. Great staff that are warm and go out of their way to ensure your stay is comfortable. This was my second stay and its now my favorite hotel in India (I'm a frequent business traveler in India, Asia & ME) Breakfast and buffet selections are very good. Try this hotel on your next visit!

We had an all around excellent stay, the employees were all very welcoming, hospitable and helpful across the board. At Vintage Asia, our server Remrem was very caring and helped us make the right choices, and took care of the whole family of all ages. At JW kitchen, Mr. Partha Ghosh and the chef got us mishti doi which my father wanted even though it was not available in the buffet, and made it very special for us. They also took care of us across breakfast. Rooms were very clean and hotel was very clean as well.

It was a very pleasant and relaxing stay at the JW Marriott Kolkata. Everything was amazing at the property, from the politeness and attentiveness of the staff, good vibes all around, large, open and quiet indulgences, luxurious and clean rooms, round the clock service from the staff. I would especially like to mention Ankita from the reception area for making my check-in and check-out experience seamless, Chetan for always checking up on me and my family during breakfast and dinner, Florence for always accommodating us to spend time at the JW lounge. All the staff were always polite and courteous. Only one point I felt where some attention is required. Kolkata being a warm and humid city, I was expecting the air conditioning in the property and the rooms to be cold and comfortable but it wasn't really so. I found it somehow manageable but not comfortable for a cozy good night's sleep.

Pillows were horrible to sleep on. Noise from the next door room kept me from sleeping, when I complained about it at 2am to the front desk the noise stopped! Also, in the shower the next morning I slipped, lucky I am still young enough to get up, however there's no phone for emergency in the bathroom. I did hurt myself, I will add.i don't think I will be staying here again.unfortunately.

Stayed here for 8 nights. Really good property (though the views arent much to write about but thats not really what the hotel is about). Great staff and service and the rooms are top notch. My only complaint if I have to have one is that the breakfast got a bit repetitive after a few days. Other 5 star hotels tend to have greater variety but the food was excellent either way

Even though I specifically booked a non smoking suite, all they could offer was a smoking suite. So I had to downgrade to a regular room. The front office check in clerk downright lied about it saying I booked a smoking suite by mistake even though my reservation clearly stated non smoking.I would never recommend this hotel in future

The staff is what makes this hotel home away from home. Starting with the welcome drink, my wife’s birthday cake, and final day gifts reflect the soft touch of the Indian culture and hospitality is a class by itself. Special shout out to Sukanta and 16th. Floor manager for the extra care with room service. Laundry was always on time. The concierge service was superb as well with my unique needs of scanning documents and even medicine. The security staff came to know us and always smiling when we returned to the hotel from our local trips. Shout out to the entire team at JW. No wonder it’s considered a top hotel in Kolkata!

It is well maintained property. House-keeping staff were good and hardworking. Staff in the breakfast area are mostly ok, found a staff (Marina) was terrible. She was rude, unprofessional and disrespectful on multiple occasions. She ruined my experience of having a leisurely breakfast with family. No action was taken even lodging a formal complaint.
