We stayed at the lodge two nights. In terms of location, it is far enough from the town center to not be disturbed by the bustle, yet close enough you can be there in a few minutes easy walk. The lodge is built right on a small river that provides a pleasant noise to fall asleep to. The property is well maintained and has a nice breakfast area and includes a little "store" for buying snacks, water, etc. There is a common balcony with a couch that let\'s you sit above the river and watch the sun rise/set on the mountains which is a neat little The rooms are a bit small and spartan - if you just need a reasonably clean place to stay as you hike/explore each day, they are fine. I took two showers and one had no hot water or pressure, the other was adequate. My room and my friend\'s room both had a slight sewer smell that increased when the wind blew hard - I covered the bathrooms drains with towels to try to suppress it. The staff were very friendly and cheerful. On a day we could not have breakfast (which is a nice simple breakfast with eggs to order) they offered to provide breakfast to go. I was honestly a bit disappointed overall and might look elsewhere if I were to return, however it did suit our needs and I might consider returning.

The hotel is a little walk from the town but well worth it. Lovely little lodge and the people running it were so friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean and comfortable and being right on the river was so nice. You could hear it running by. The breakfast was good and they made a sack breakfast for us the day we left early to MP. They held our extra luggage until we returned. Highly recommend staying here.

It was a very comfortable stay except for a plumbing issue where my family has to move from one room to another. The view of the mountain is amazing from our room and the sound of river gushing from my family’s room. My family’s room has 3 bedrooms, which makes it a great one for my sister and my 2 nephews. When Edith found out that we have not had a chance to have dinner before checking in, she cooked omelette with bread and cheese. Stan, her husband helped with the luggage and they let us store our luggage while hiking Machu Picchu and arranged transportation for us. Thanks!

We rented 5 rooms for our family. The Canadian hostess was warm and helpful. The beds were comfortable with a wool blanket and a very comfy comforter. Plus we all had hot showers. They had a standard breakfast ready for our early departure and let us store our luggage while we were at Machu Picchu. The property borders a nice little river. We had some street noise early on, but then again we went to bed at a very early hour.

When we arrived there was no host on site to check us in. Hot water was not turned on and we had to ask. No soap, shampoo, conditioner and hair dryer were provided. No drinking water or bottle water were provided and we had to purchase. No assistance with luggage. This place doesn’t meet many criteria for being listed on Expedia.

And they even helped arrange transportation to tours, which was a very cool experience. The rooms were very nice, shower had hot water, the view was great, and the sound of the water can put you to sleep quickly. Highly recommend this place and visiting Ollantaytambo. Beautiful city with the best food around Peru! It’s also very walkable no matter where you want to go in town.
