Within walking distance from CIQ. However, i was directed wrongly when i was so near to getting to it, and had to walk the long about way to get to the lobby entrance. In fact it could be reached via the zenith lifestyle building directly opposite JBCC Komtar building. Loved the facilities and property conditon. Check in was a breeze and Yahzid made it a pleasant experience. Had a quiet swim, a quick workout at the gym the next morning which was adequately equipped. The hotel was also next door to 2 plasant cafes one of which is Principle Cafe by T.A.M. Opposite the hotel is a food court area which featured lots of local food. Room wise was spacious, and was given a room on 16th floor. Ok city view as it looked directly opposite the condo next door but also a partial city view where the might view was pleasant. Only quibble it was hard to control the temperature of the shower...it kept giving me very hot water despite adjustments. Didn't get to try the spa or head to the library. The hotel even has a play area room for the children. Didn't get to try the F&B.

Its very convenient. Shopping area just across the street. Room is very spacious and clean. Staff are very friendly. Parking wise, there is adequate parking lots. You will need to get a parking ticket from the gantry for the concierge to validate, after which you have to head down to level 2 of the parking use the carpark auto-pay machine to validate again. They do not accept Touch n' Go card for free parking validation.

Very good location. It was just a short walk to the JB checkpoint so perfect for travellers commuting between JB and Singapore. We also enjoyed the breakfast which offered a lot of options and tasty food. The room was spacious and the shower was great. However, there were ants on our bed, in the drawers and in the bathroom. When told about the issue, the staff only applied some insect repellent and did not resolve successfully. On our last evening, we went to the pool bar to relax, but were told that most of the cocktails were unavailable. We had wine instead and it was not properly stored. Very disappointing and we had to cut the evening short. The hotel could definitely do better with more staff training in terms of housekeeping and managing its bar.

I stayed at the hotel for 1 night with my family. The location is perfect ( on the opposite side of two shopping malls). Easy to connect to the check point of Singapore. The room is big and clean. The most important thing is the beds are super comfortable! Swimming pool and gym are nice. The staffs are helpful and friendly. Staying here means you can enjoy the time in JB for sure. Highly recommended for everyone!

The stay was terrible. Chekcin was delayed by more than 2 hours and we got the room after 5:00 pm. We paid for the entire 2 days to park our car and the coupon doesn’t work to get validated. We had to wait for the security for 5-10 mins everytime to get the car out of the parking.

Location is very good Room condition is average. Reason 1. Aircon is not cold 2. Mini is not working even after replacement is still warm 3. Pillow is so hard and uncomfortable. The issue is still the same, the temperature for the tap is still having issue, no matter what direction we turn to, the water is still very hot. The housekeeping didn’t refill the shampoo n body wash gel until we have to call up and ask for it.. the balcony was super dirty when we check in.. Hope the next time, they can do a cleanliness check before asking the customer check in and ensure everything is ok during housekeeping

If you book this for VIP membership access, there’s none. For gold membership room upgrade, front desk lied and said the hotel was fully booked but every web said there’s tons of room avil. Other than that, room was good, space and set up is no issue. Toilet wasn’t cleaned properly but the rest was ok. Not sure if I would choose this again as I only picked this hotel for its VIP access status. Sadly there was none offered. So maybe another hotel would be better. I came here to do a review on the hotel before booking it for my company trip with the team. Not sure how would it stand above the rest of the hotel near by.

I booked Amari JB with great expectation as I had a great experience staying at Amari Penang for many times. Unfortunately, it wasnt a pleasant stay. As we checked in, I went for a shower, and only shampoo is around, no body shampoo. I called the operator, and I need to repeat 3 times on what is missing, and thats the first unpleasant encounter. Next is bath robe that is super dirty and stained as the attached picture. This is definitely something the hotel didnt manage well, how could such dirty bath robe ended in a so called newly cleaned room. When i went to the reception to highlight the issue, i was told that it will be informed to the manager and wanted to send a new robe to my room. I request to prepare at the reception and I'll pick them up when i come back. The service recovery wasnt done at all, i dont feel the staff genuinely know the serious of this hygience complaint, and just change the robe withtou further handling of the issue, and I guess this is how the so called manager handles it. I'm not happy with it. When i go back to take the replacement robe, there is another staff at the counter and when I mentioend my room, he was like so blur and not sure why im there for.. this is another lousy internal communication by the staff, showing that the hotel is not handlign this seriously. I'll consider if i want to book and stay at JB Amari again.

I checkin at 3 pm and was given a 8th floor room with no privacy. I was told by the indian receptionist that this is the only room available. The window was facing the gym and people walking to the pool. Throughout i had to pull my curtain closed and i had no view. People come back late banged their doors the dip pool was open till late so the light sleeper me was unable to sleep. The toilet flush was weak and cant flush whatever was inside properly. Plus point is that the room is clean though.

Stay was at most average, was there slightly early (less than 1 hr ahead of check-in time) with a sleeping baby. Proceeded to check-in, asking and hoping that the room would be ready ahead of the official check-in time. Staff checked, and advised that room is ready, and the housekeeping just needs to do a final check. Requested for me to take a seat and the room will be ready shortly. Did so, but ended up waiting for more than an hour for the room to be ready. Ironically, guest that arrived later than us got their room ahead of us. Ended up having to join the check-in queue to get check-in again. Terrible experience. Room was spacious but clearly under-maintained.

We arrived early and knew check in was at 3pm but we were willing to wait. The female front desk staff told us that she can only register us as guests but for room availability, we had to check again at 2pm. However after waiting for about 40 minutes, a male front desk staff name Dennis came to me and informed me that they manage to get 1 room ready for us. Dennis was the epitome of professionalism. He was polite, professional and kind. He even brought the other room key card to us in our room. All the other staff at Amari hotel are polite too. Overall the rooms are clean and big plus housekeeping was also prompt. We had a great stay. Thank you Amari Hotel JB!

I am writing to formally lodge a bad experience regarding my recent stay in a suite (#1820) at Amari Johor Bahru from 9–11 August. We are not aware of any exclusive perks that we could have enjoyed., After check-in, it was only when I called the hotel staff to check if breakfast was included, that we knew this entitlement. There was no mention whatsoever of the other suite privileges. We only learned about these additional benefits at check-out, after we gave feedback that the Level 20 breakfast was very limited. Because of this lapse in communication, we were denied the opportunity to enjoy the full benefits that we paid for. The suite rate we booked was significantly higher than standard rooms precisely because of these added privileges. Not being informed of them from the start is not only unfair but also represents a clear failure to deliver the experience. No response even as we emailed them since 11/8.

Walking distance to checkpoint and near Komtar and City Square Mall. Reached hotel in the morning and left our luggage since room is not ready. Hotel lobby is very beautiful with many staff. There is a library and play area. Received a message around 1pm that the room is ready. However, we only reached back around 7pm and heard live singing at the restaurant. Was surprised to see our superior room to be upgraded. Look like to one bedroom suite. Room is spacious with separate living room and bedroom, 2 toilets, 2 tv, work area, balcony, complimentary minibar. Next morning breakfast has many varieties. Pleasant to see live singing while eating breakfast. Highly recommended.

the breakfast was amazingggggg!!! So many options and it was the highlight of the stay. It was quite convienent. The rooms don't really reflect a 5 star hotel. The rooms were made up quite late in the afternoon. The Aircon reflected 25 degrees but it felt more like 20.
