The pool was closed for maintenance and this was not disclosed prior to checking in, not was any compensation offered. Of course this is our of hotel management control but was a main feature of consideration in choosing this hotel so we were very disappointed that not into was it inaccessible but staff were unable to give an estimate of when it might be open again. It was closed for the duration of our stay. We also noticed that there were noisy drafts in our room due, we think, to window seal being inadequate. Other than that it was a nice apartment, nicely cleaned and maintained. Staff were friendly.

Great views from the balcony of the city high rises. Comfortable stay. Pool area very small - more like a lap pool. Photos make it look more appealing than it actually is. Friendly service at the desk. Easy car parking inside.

Our first room had a very noisy ventilation fan. We moved to a second room which resolved the fan problem. Very nice room although let down by not being very clean. Hair on the toilet and oil splatters over the overhead cupboards in the kitchen. No soap in the shower dispenser and the shampoo dispenser broken. Things were quickly attended to when raised. Very nice hotel overall, just let down by the cleaning. The pool and bbq area was excellent.

Good property and location but pool area and fitness area area are awful - only 2 people can fit in the pool, only 4 chair, super small. The fitness center is tiny and not good. Close to shopping and coffee shops, safe and easy in and out!

We have stayed at Imagine Marco in Southbank before and previously had a great experience, which is why we chose to return but unfortunately, this stay fell far short of expectations. The room was poorly maintained. We paid extra for a sky-view room, but the window glass was cracked, the walls were badly scuffed with poorly patched holes, and both the cupboards and floors were dirty. The lounge and carpet in the living area were visibly worn and unclean. The balcony, which should have been a highlight given the stunning view, was also dirty and not properly serviced. The gym was clean and well looked after, however the pool area was very disappointing. There were cigarette butts and beer bottles in the pool, despite it being a shared guest facility. We were told the pool was heated, but it was freezing cold. The poolside lounge chairs were also dirty and covered in bird droppings. Additionally outside the hotel there was trash everywhere in the parking lot and outdoor bins were overflowing. This stay did not reflect the standard we experienced previously, and we would not recommend staying here based on our experience.

Booked and paid for a month ago . Arrived to be told i had no booking . Took 30 minutes to correct . Then given room that smelled stinking dishwasher. Inspected 2 more rooms unclean and broken toilet.Finally placed in room two and a half hours later only to find when using bathroom the waste bin was full of cigarette butts and tampons . Terrible experience would not recommend Checked out at 7 am to find other accomodation . Awaiting refund

Location was excellent but the hotel in general did not give a clean and pristine look about it. The stairs in the foyer were not clean. The room we were in was dirty. It needed a deep clean. The shower surround was mouldy. The crockery was not consistent. There was only one tall drinking glass. One day our apartment had not been serviced when we returned at 5:00pm. We had to go back down to reception and made a complaint. Towels were replaced soon after but no cleaning done. The bed was far too soft, no substance and pillows to soft to lay on. Also the wifi was intermittent. Not good enough.

There was a build up of food grime on the kitchen tap, the sink was not clean, the crockery was dirty, the microwave could not be easily used because it is tucked away behind the cooktop, the bed mattress was so worn, it sagged into the middle and worst of all, the hotel is positioned directly next to one of Melbourne’s busiest freeways - no window or external door is double-insulated resulting in extraordinary traffic noise. I will never stay again nor will I recommend this hotel

More cons than pros unfortunately. Pros - friendly staff, well appointed room with all conveniences, comfy bed and pillows, close to Southbank. Cons - surface clean but otherwise dirty, our room desperately needed a deep clean and a repaint, noisy despite double glazed windows (hard to stop noise when your hotel is right next to the West Gate Fwy), rubbish everywhere outside hotel entrance. Not a 4 star hotel at present, won’t be staying again sorry.

I attendes for the grand prix. The location was an easy 20 minute walk to the track, making it convenient. It was also close to southbank, and had Woolworths, trams and cafes nearby. Biggest disappointment was the room. It was very run down with scuff marks everywhere. Blinds were damaged. The bathroom didn't look like it had been cleaned. There was soap scum in the shower and on the vanity. The bedroom carpet hadn't been vacuumed and hairs were found in the bed. The staff at reception were very helpful. Only reason for the low review was the cleanliness of the room.

The staff was very helpful when my wife and kids arrived early they were happy to check us in an available room. Unfortunately, we were checked into a room that wasn't clean properly and was infested by cockroaches they were in cupboards, bathrooms, and bedrooms. The next morning I went to the front desk and they gave me another room. Not sure I'm comfortable to recommend to others.

Clean and tidy but a very outdated apartment. Spacious living areas but tiny rooms - no where to fit a suitcase. Location is ok but nothing in the immediate area, so with melbournes 4 seasons in a day you gotta walk quite a bit to get any food or drinks. Its nice they give some milk in the fridge, but no tea or coffee available?? If all you want is a clean place to sleep then this will do.

Bedrooms very small, barely enough room to walk around the bed. Living area space was good but one cushion had extremly bad smell. A bit grubby generally carpets etc. Could do with a deep clean and paint. Quite noisey from adjacent motorway. Location was very good.

We checked in a 2 bedroom apartment sky level. Got into the room and 1 of the bedrooms was locked. Called over and over again to have it unlocked took about 2.5 hours. By this time it was 11.30pm. Balcony on sky level un un-safe. No chairs or table. Just like standing on a cliff. Glass was shaky. Location was good thats about it.

The apartment is modern, it is a good location straddling between Southbank and South Melbourne so can enjoy both sides. Woolworths across road. Pool area was nice, furnishings modern. We had a great view from 30th floor towards the Port. My gripe is with the freeway traffic, absolutely no way you would be sitting on balcony (it is deafening). Even with closed double glazed doors you can hear the truck compression breaks / cars through the night. There is 10 lanes of traffic immediately adjoining the building (the pool area is facing north, whereas we were facing south). Not sure if facing any other way would have helped.

The apartments are like they were architecturally designed by a nine year old with a crayon; the spaces are poorly designed and a bit rough around the edges. We had a fridge were the temperature outside was colder than the maximum setting of the fridge. The shower drains a small dam every time you have a shower- no water saving here. Location is fine with supermarket next door. If you hate road noise don’t stay here, the freeways go all night and so do the trucks. There is no room cleaning and don’t expect there to be anyone at reception in the evening or on the weekend. In all an OK place to stay if there is nowhere else.

This apartment is a bit of a mixed bag. Great location with proximity to Southbank, and terrific views from the 33rd floor Apartment has a balcony but no outdoor furniture. It could also have been cleaner - baked on grime around the gas cooktop burners, and a dried food spill on the arm of the leather couch in the living room. Fridge, microwave and rest of apartment was fine though. Kitchen layout is awkward with microwave in a bench recess that means the door only half opens before jamming against the side of the cooktop. Annoying and also dangerous for getting hot things out. Good and effective AC, but it made a high pitched whine that was annoying. Bedroom was a real squeeze, with not enough room at the foot of the bed to get past without bumping into the wall mounted tv, and the bed was uncomfortably soft. Good pillows though. Bathroom was clean and functional, but I don't recommend the clothes washer/dryer for drying items eg towels if you need them any time soon. 3 hours to dry 4 towels. Pool area was lovely but no towels available there, and very limited seating. Pool is quite small too - a lap pool that is 1.2m deep all along, and really only wide enough for 1-2 people to swim in at a time and no place to sit in the water or pool enclosure itself, so not really suitable for anyone with young kids. Overall it wasn't bad for a few days and nights and the location is great, but will probably look for something better next time we go to Melbourne.

The staff were lovely and helpful and friendly and responsive. They addressed an issue with some loud, drunk people making a lot of noise. The walls are thin between rooms as I could hear every movement the people in the next room made and that kept me awake on night one. All nights after that were OK. However, although the kitchen/living area were clean and tidy, the bedroom and bathroom had clearly not been properly cleaned in a long time. The bathroom floor and shower door had built up dirt/mould that had not been addressed. The crockery/cutlery had not been replenished and I had only one knife and one teaspoon and one mug. The hallway on my floor was unkempt and not vacuumed but all in all it was OK.

all was well, was my second time staying. only issue was that me and my missus had a big night the night before clubbing and she didn’t feel so well in the morning, very nauseous so i expressed this and asked for a 30 minute later checkout but wasn’t granted this, but when i went to the lobby to checkout another person said they “misplaced” their phones and asked for a later checkout time and was granted it.

The stay was overall ok for the two nights we were there. The biggest issue I had was the hotel flat out refused to do late check out. not for any reason but that the management simply dont allow it. it was a great inconvenience and it baffles me. as someone who has stayed in hundreds of hotels I am confused why this wasnt possible and why the hotel simply chooses to lose money.

A great place to stay thats close to the CBD and walking distance to some great places. Amazing views even though we weren't that high up. Great that there's a Woolworths and Cafe a few minutes walk away, as theres no facilties at the hotel other than self catering. There's also no support with luggage so be prepared to move it around yourself, including the stairs to enter. There is a small lift near the entrance but its super slow. The place wasn't as clean as we'd liked either, as there was this white powdery dust everywhere and on top of things.

It was a great property for a couple nights for me (solo traveler). They allowed me to drop off my bags at the property in the AM when I arrived before the unit was ready (securely behind front desk). Location was excellent for the Australian Open Tennis, walking to Crown Casino and enjoying all the great restaurants in the area. I was very happy with the value! Thanks for a great stay!

A great place to stay thats close to the CBD and walking distance to some great places. Amazing views even though we weren't that high up. Great that there's a Woolworths and Cafe a few minutes walk away, as theres no facilties at the hotel other than self catering. There's also no support with luggage so be prepared to move it around yourself, including the stairs to enter. There is a small lift near the entrance but its super slow. The place wasn't as clean as we'd liked either, as there was this white powdery dust everywhere and on top of things.

Very handy location to the Arts precinct which is what we needed. Walking distance to Flinders Street Station and St Kilda Road. Nice to have a pool and gym, and the apartment had amazing views. A few larger cups/mugs in the kitchen would be useful. Overall really enjoyed our stay and would return.

The location was great for the activities we had planned The apartment was missing crockery and cutlery and needed a good vacum there were dirty dishes in the dishwasher which had a bad odour. The aircon in the second room was about 5c cooler than the rest of the apartment and despite being reported to the front desk was not fixed.

The negative about the stay: No Netflix on tv Staff seemed inconvenienced by the smallest requests eg- can I please borrow an umbrella or have another blanket for the bed as freezing day with pouring rain. The heating does not come into one of the bedrooms so was very cold. There is minimal kitchen supplies and they are all in the draw dirty. There is 2 balcony areas and neither have chairs or small table to sit outside. Carpark is $25 per night when a short walk to crown is $18. The first day we get there, they close the pool and gym for a week saying it’s due for maintenance. They asked for every guests ID and took a copy upon checking in. I’ve stayed in better hotels that never even did this. It’s very odd. Positive - Woolworths across the road. Walking distance to crown.

Stayed there for the F1 weekend. Awesome location for it and spacious 2 bedroom apartment. Would have been full top score if it weren't for two things: 1. Road noise. Very noticeable noise from the big roads outside. 2. Sparsely equipped kitchen. A few more and better knives, at least one dishwasher tablet per day and maybe a few Tupper Ware boxes or similar to put left overs in would have really improved the usability of the kitchen. Now it was only the bare minimum of utensils.
