Quite smart hotel although some maintenance requirements were noticeable. Even though we didn’t get the smallest room it was quite small and dark. The hotel did not represent particularly good value. Location was convenient. Staff were friendly and helpful. The roof terrace and pool were small but nice to have anyway.

The hotel looks fabulous, very arty. Minor housekeeping issue where a glass with cigarettes was left on the balcony behind the shutters. When we opened the shutters, the glass broke. Otherwise great. We walked everywhere... beach, la pedera, casa batllo, MOCO. The surrounding area felt safe for me and my daughter, even at night. Breakfast was sufficient, coffee great, and the honesty bar on the rooftop was much appreciated (though lacking a bottle opener). Staff were lovely. I would stay here again, and would be happy to book other Room Mate hotels

Hotel was nicely located, outside the tourist trap but close enough to everything. Staff were lovely and the vibe was also good. The room was small, we had a balcony which was nice - without this my rating would be less. We were located on the 5th floor next to the cleaning cupboard which was loud every morning. Additionally next door building had builders which some days started drilling before 8. You could also hear other guests move furniture around the room. Therefore overall the noise levels were quite high. The bed was really comfy. And bathroom looked lovely. However the controls for the shower were complicated and temperamental. The hotel bar is self/service which killed the atmosphere. Overall it wasn’t a bad stay, but I wouldn’t stay again.

Très bon hôtel : très bien situé pour visiter Barcelone, propre, chambre confortable, très bonne literie, excellent petit déjeuner avec beaucoup de choix. Le personnel est sympathique et très serviable. Nous n'avons pas pu évaluer le roof top qui etait fermé lors de notre séjour (travaux). Nous recommandons vivement cet etablissement !

We loved this hotel! Visiting Barcelona for 3 days the location was ideal and we mostly walked everywhere. The rooftop view and pool were a lovely addition in a city hotel, the breakfast was great and the staff just couldn't have been more helpful. Also, from someone who is usually uber fussy about these things, the beds and pillows were amazingly comfortable! If we return to Barcelona this is where we will be staying.

We had a great stay at Room Mate Gerard and would happily recommend anyone to stay here. The location is perfect walking distance to places across the city including Plaça de Catalunya, La Ramblas, the Gothic Quarter, Harbour, Park de la Cituadella. The neighbourhood is quiet and safe also. Our room was lovely and kept clean throughout our stay. The staff were friendly and always willing to help or offer recommendations. We will be back!

Front desk staff was extremely helpful and excellent well mannered and super friendly. On another note, the room was horrible, the lighting was very dim,to top it off the room was dark not enough lighting which led us to seeing the dust and lint on our pillows and bedding. I’m we rarely had a good night rest . Unfortunately, we won’t be booking this place ever again

I had a great stay at Room Mate Gerard. The rooms were very clean, and the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. They made sure everything was comfortable and went out of their way to help with anything we needed. I’d definitely stay here again!

Maybe I unluckily got the worst room in the building with the wastewater pipes in my wall. But I was up all night hearing what seemed like every toilet flush in the building. It was pretty rough.

The hotel and facilities were excellent. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was trendy. The buffet breakfast was amazing with decent choices of hot, cold and fruit options. The reception, housekeeping and the breakfast staffs were very friendly and supportive. Very well located, only 10mins walk from the Place Catlunya. Not an inconvenince, but i felt the room could have been a bit spacious.

Whilst the hotel’s location is convenient, the condition of the property was poor. The bathroom door was a sliding one and we couldn’t close ours at all meaning no privacy. The wood at the bottom of the door had completely rotten and was in a bad state. What’s disappointing is, this is clearly not a new issue - why has it has been left like that and still offered to guests? Not worth the money.

Rooms was spacious and quiet. Great location just away from all the chaos and in a nice, safe area for easy walking to every place we wanted to visit. Only negative is room walls needed painting and because wall paint was charcoal it darkened the room too much. Excellent breakfast!

The hotel was not as described on Expedia or online. It was very small and located in a bad area, directly across from numerous trash containers. There was no warm welcome or amenities like drinks, coffee, or juice that other properties typically offer. The room was extremely small, and overall, it was a disappointing experience. I only stayed one night and canceled the second, but they refused to refund my money—even though I had booked a flexible rate. I will never stay there again

Loved my stay here!!! The room was very spacious and convenient for my friend and I. We're both girls so it was perfect for us getting ready lol! Our rooms were always kept tidy with the staff! And the staff did a very good job accommodating us with whatever thing that we needed in the area. DEFINITELY coming back to this hotel again!!! I would recommend this hotel 100000 times. We noticed after checkin that the sliding bathroom door was damaged at the bottom and we couldn’t close it. After notifying the front desk and even showing a picture they did nothing to fix it. Did not offer to move us either. It’s weird to not be able to close the bathroom door. The coffee machine was not working either, even after notifying them of this they did nothing. A lady that worked evenings gave great recommendations for dinner though.

We stayed here twice this past month. The hotel's location is excellent and the rooms are nicely appointed. It was quiet and clean. Perhaps the greatest asset was its staff. Alejandro, Sunita and everyone else were efficient, courteous, and patient, and it was always a pleasure to interact with them. Breakfast was incredibly good and the staff there made everything possible to accommodate my food-allergic kids. 10/10

I didn’t stay at this location and was moved to another hotel the morning I arrived because the hotel said there was a booking error. I can’t comment on this hotel but it was very inconvenient to land at airport and find out your hotel is being moved. I won’t stay with this hotel chain again. I have been to Barcelona six times and prefer the other hotels like Balmes or Hyatt

Staff were lovely. Room was nice but the bathroom had a strange smell. The entrance lobby had the same smell-a bit like drains. I was disappointed as I informed the hotel it was my husband’s birthday during our stay and they said they would organise a little something but this didn’t happen. Overall though, good hotel in a good location

Great location. Within 10-15 minutes of major sites. Near the subway. Good dining options nearby. In a lovely neighborhood. The hotel was nice. Good bed- very comfortable. I did feel like it was lacking upscale touches. Very dark inside and concrete/cheap wood. Hotel staff was really nice.

We appreciated the central location as we were able to walk to the Sagrada Familia, Park Guell, and Casa Batllo and also walk to Las Ramblas and the historic district in the other direction. We were very satisfied with this hotel, and will choose it again on a later occasion! Great service from the time we arrived until we checked out - at reception, cleaning staff and breakfast staff. The room was in a good standard with good beds, good airconditon and very fast wifi. The breakfast was great with a good selection, plus for the long breakfast time (until 12 o'clock). Perfect location. Plus for a nice roof terrace with a good view and a small pool! We loved our stay and can't wait to get back another time 😊☀️
