Chateau du Bec du Gave

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Château du Bec du Gave for three nights, and it was an unforgettable experience. We stayed in the Aurora room, which was beautifully decorated with a perfect blend of elegance and comfort. The attention to detail was truly impressive, feeling both luxurious and homely. The owners of the château are lovely people who went out of their way to ensure our stay was perfect. Their warmth and hospitality made us feel like cherished guests rather than just visitors. The breakfast served on the terrace is also a highlight and truly delicious! The views from the château are magnificent, especially the views over the river. It's a perfect spot to relax and take in the natural beauty of the surroundings. The grounds around the property added to the tranquillity and offered space for peaceful walks. A special mention must be made of their friendly dogs, who added an extra layer of charm to our stay. They were always happy to see us and made us feel even more at home. Overall, our stay at Château du Bec du Gave was exceptional. We highly recommend this wonderful place to anyone looking for a peaceful, luxurious retreat in a stunning location. An extraordinary chateau and an unforgettable experience. The owner, Philippe, made us most welcome and ensured we had truly excellent service throughout our stay. Our room was large and very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. What stood out was the lavishly appointed reception rooms, bedrooms and bathrooms. These are all exactly as shown in the website photographs, but still need to be seen to be believed. If you want air-con and an on site restaurant then you will be disappointed, but then it wouldn’t be an authentic French Chateau!

Superbe château ! Notre chambre était fantastique, decorée avec goût et recherche, le souci du détail est présent dans chaque pièce ❤️. L’emplacement de la bâtisse est idéal à la confluence de l’Adour et des Gaves réunis. Le paysage change et se reflète dans l’eau telle une peinture vivante. Notre hôte nous a accueilli avec une grande gentillesse, il est disponible et à l’écoute, soucieux que notre séjour se passe dans les meilleures conditions. Un grand merci, nous reviendrons ! Une mention spéciale pour le petit déjeuner, on a adoré !

Wie ein Märchenschloss am Fluss gelegen. Unglaublich ruhig und man fühlt sich etwas wie ein Baron aus vergangenen Zeiten. Sehr persönlich und herzlich geführt.
