Vous pouvez réserver dans cet hôtel les yeux fermés. Le gérant est très cordial et serviable, son établissement est très bien tenu, les chambres sont modernes et de belle taille et surtout... L'hôtel était en travaux lors de notre séjour, mais cela ne nous a pas dérangés... et c'est une très bonne nouvelle si vous voyagez à partir de l'été 2025 : une nouvelle extension va ouvrir, ajoutant quelques chambres et une nouvelle salle à manger avec une vue imbattable ! La vie depuis toutes les chambres est également top, on pourrait passer des heures à admirer le paysage.

By far the best hotel we stayed at in Iceland. The hotel is situated upon a hill overlooking Akureyri and the magnificent waterfront. The room offers a breathtaking view of the waterfront and I felt like I could spend hours just staring at the view. The hotel has a handful of rooms and that adds to the very quiet and peaceful atmosphere. The rooms are quite clean and spacious and very elegantly furnished. The floor to ceiling windows and the private patio allow you to soak in the amazing view. We found the breakfast to be simple but yet wholly adequate. My wife and I are vegetarians but we felt very satisfied with the options on offer. The only very minor feedback we would have is to keep the slices of cheese separate from the slices of meat at breakfast. Since people tend to use the same serving fork for both the meat and cheese, the vegetarians may feel uncomfortable taking the cheese. There is also ample free parking available at the property.

Lovely quiet hotel with a welcoming and helpful host. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable room with a great hot shower. The view across the fjord to Akureyri is stunning but beware driving at night or in bad weather as the road to the hotel is narrow, winding and unlit and as the hotel only serves breakfast you need to get into Akureyri for an evening meal.

On the hillside across the fjord from the airport and town, it was in the middle of having an extension when we were there (boy, Icelandic builders are hardy) so was a little out of sorts. That said, it is kept in immaculate order, and I’m sure the extension will be great. Currently it’s just 8 rooms, and won’t be so much bigger next year, but will have an internal lift so you don’t have to go outside to get to the lower rooms. There isn’t a restaurant, but the breakfast buffet is a good start to the day. If you have a car (and you really need one if you are traveling independently around here) it’s a short drive to downtown with a couple of gnarly turns after dark.

Really well kept and feels new. Well located. Good Breakfast. The bed was great as was the linen. I didn’t like the pillows. Wish the room had a tea kettle.

The views from the rooms are spectacular overlooking the city and estuary and the rooms are beautifully maintained with a great shower and bathroom. In the room was a coffee machine which during out stay was replenished daily. Breakfast was included and was buffet style with cold meats,cheese, pastries and fruit all very nice. The owner was very helpful with ideas for our stay. The drive into the city takes around 10 minutes and there is free evening parking in the centre. Highly recommended.

Hotels.com address was not correct. The location is actually closer to the turn off than indicated. If you use Google maps it will give you the accurate information. The hotel was super clean and had an amazing view. The host was very friendly, and the breakfast was great.

Hafdals Hotel was a beautiful, well maintained, clean, quiet location. The owner was very helpful and welcoming. The view was superb. Couldn’t ask for a better stay. Would definitely recommend to anyone heading to Akureyri and would come again.

Room was among the best of the trip, very large with a big bathroom. Very well appointed. Breakfast was typical Icelandic fare. Owner was great, but we arrived about 20 min prior to check in and were not greeted warmly. Easy drive to the city.

We loved our stay, beautiful property. The young man that checked us in was very helpful and professional. Our view was incredible and the room was very nice. The breakfast fresh and tasty. My 6\'5" husband loved the shower.

The gentleman at the front desk was lovely and had a lot of wonderful recommendations. The small feel of the hotel was wonderful and the inclusion of breakfast was a huge perk! The view was beautiful and we were able to walk out our door and see the northern lights. Highly recommend!!!

Hotels.com address was not correct. The location is actually closer to the turn off than indicated. If you use Google maps it will give you the accurate information. The hotel was super clean and had an amazing view. The host was very friendly, and the breakfast was great.

Room was among the best of the trip, very large with a big bathroom. Very well appointed. Breakfast was typical Icelandic fare. Owner was great, but we arrived about 20 min prior to check in and were not greeted warmly. Easy drive to the city.

This was my most favorite spot in all of Iceland and we stayed at some amazing places. Thor was so kind and the view was spectacular. I was so glad we chose to stay here. #INCREDIBLE

We were made very welcome and enjoyed our single night here. The view from our room was stunning. Akureyri is a short drive away and has some lovely restaurants. Choice at breakfast was great!

We loved our stay, beautiful property. The young man that checked us in was very helpful and professional. Our view was incredible and the room was very nice. The breakfast fresh and tasty. My 6\'5" husband loved the shower.

By far the best hotel we stayed at in Iceland. The hotel is situated upon a hill overlooking Akureyri and the magnificent waterfront. The room offers a breathtaking view of the waterfront and I felt like I could spend hours just staring at the view. The hotel has a handful of rooms and that adds to the very quiet and peaceful atmosphere. The rooms are quite clean and spacious and very elegantly furnished. The floor to ceiling windows and the private patio allow you to soak in the amazing view. We found the breakfast to be simple but yet wholly adequate. My wife and I are vegetarians but we felt very satisfied with the options on offer. The only very minor feedback we would have is to keep the slices of cheese separate from the slices of meat at breakfast. Since people tend to use the same serving fork for both the meat and cheese, the vegetarians may feel uncomfortable taking the cheese. There is also ample free parking available at the property.

It is about 10 minutes from downtown. The hotel is family owned and operated, he was very attentive and took care of us while there. No dinner there, breakfast is very simple. Small bathroom but adequate. We chose the hotel so we can be away from the city but near to benefit from all the restaurants and stores. We lucked out the night we were there, we saw aurora at around 1:00 AM. It was a bonus treat.

The views from the rooms are spectacular overlooking the city and estuary and the rooms are beautifully maintained with a great shower and bathroom. In the room was a coffee machine which during out stay was replenished daily. Breakfast was included and was buffet style with cold meats,cheese, pastries and fruit all very nice. The owner was very helpful with ideas for our stay. The drive into the city takes around 10 minutes and there is free evening parking in the centre. Highly recommended.

On the hillside across the fjord from the airport and town, it was in the middle of having an extension when we were there (boy, Icelandic builders are hardy) so was a little out of sorts. That said, it is kept in immaculate order, and I’m sure the extension will be great. Currently it’s just 8 rooms, and won’t be so much bigger next year, but will have an internal lift so you don’t have to go outside to get to the lower rooms. There isn’t a restaurant, but the breakfast buffet is a good start to the day. If you have a car (and you really need one if you are traveling independently around here) it’s a short drive to downtown with a couple of gnarly turns after dark.

Hafdals Hotel was a beautiful, well maintained, clean, quiet location. The owner was very helpful and welcoming. The view was superb. Couldn’t ask for a better stay. Would definitely recommend to anyone heading to Akureyri and would come again.

The hotel is modern, spotless, and very peaceful, making it a perfect place to relax after a day of exploring North Iceland. The rooms were comfortable and beautifully designed, and Tor who greeted us wonderfully was friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious with fresh local options. Best strawberries and croissants we ever had. Forest Lagoon is around the corner so it’s a big plus. Also many dining options in the town which is only 5 mins away. Only problem you may have is that icy roads- especially the hill. Parking is plenty and free. A hidden gem with an amazing atmosphere — highly recommended.
